I love the ease of this cleaning machine. It does the job and I feel confident it did a great job. I don't mind using this cleaner and kind of sad when it's done cleaning. It's goes so fast that I'm done in no time. Love the scented water. Thus is just a neat machine and I love the new improvements over the older one I had.

I received this Steam Mop as a gift! I like it! It sets up easy and using distilled water I am able to clean the floor without cleaners. I like its swivel head and I like that I can remove the cloth pads and wash them which makes it a much greener product all around. The fragrance disc's are a waste of time, its good when something smells nice but it only last for a few minutes. Also, you have to be very careful when doing a linoleum floor, it can take the wax off!! I have a bare spot in my bathroom, I hoping it will wax over. You can't leave it in one spot to long, it gets too hot. It is great for hard wood floors. I LOVE the fact that the Steam Mop disinfects, because it gets so hot! So hot can be good and bad, use with caution but I like this product!

I have 3 little dogs that I adopted from abusive conditions. They weren't housebroken at the time I took them in. While they are all making great progress, there are still the occasional "accidents". It's important to sanitize the floors and remove any scent so that my dogs will be discouraged from using the areas again. I had been using another appliance which required using chemicals that I didn't realize contained ammonia. Urine contains ammonia. I learned from an animal behavior specialist to NEVER use ammonia products to clean floors in homes where dogs live. My entire house is porcelain tile, the ammonia scent was in all of the grout. You can imagine how confusing that was for my dogs. (wasn't fun for me, either) This steam mop is lightweight, easy to use, and a great value.It stands upright on it's own, heats quickly, & gets hot enough to kill most bacteria, (& smells) & cleans without the use of expensive chemicals. The reusable pads wash easily. It also has a removable tank that holds enough water so it doesn't have to be refilled so often as to being annoying. I think the only con would be a small, easily changed, design flaw. The tank has to be turned upside down to fill and because of it's shape, it doesn't sit flat. I have to prop it in my dish drainer, so I can use both hands to hold a gallon jug of distilled water to fill it. Over all, I'm very pleased & would recommend the Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop Hard Floor Cleaner 1940 to anyone.

I had a Shark steam mop that was given to me prior to this one. That one broke and I decided to purchase this one due to the price and reviews. I am regretting not getting another Shark at this point. It has been less than a year and I use it at most once a week. First the mop started not actually giving steam intermittently. I have to plug it in press the button see if steam comes on if not unplug it wait plug it in again and repeat if necessary. Now last Saturday I went to fill up the water dispenser and when I screwed the plastic cap back on it cracked and now I can't use the machine at all. I purchased this to clean weekly because I have a dog who tracks stuff on my floors and I want to know my floors have been thoroughly cleaned and I don't want to use an old school mop. Now I have the choice to go through the painful warranty/troubleshooting process or just say forget it and go back to a Shark product.

Product works and steams for cleaning as claimed. I did find the water canister extremely difficult to grasp and remove from the main unit as the sides are indented slightly however there is nothing to actually grasp hold of. This is not a good product for an older person or anyone with large hands. I used it and it worked but because it is all made of plastic it wont last you long. Sure you can buy replacement parts but with the frequency of the parts breaking and the shipping might as well buy a different unit. I wont but again and can not recommend.

Okay first, I am NOT a paid review person for Bissel. I purchased these products based on my needs. I needed something quick and easy to use. I first purchased the Bissel 3 in 1 Turbo booster Vacuum. Love it. But will post that review on that product. I had an old H20 Steam mop that I loved, but took it and left it at a place I regularly clean, so I needed a now steam mop. From reading comparisions and reviews, I chose the Bissel Powerfresh 1940 Steam Mop. It was very easy to assemble. Now ready to clean. I vacuumed and steam cleaned 3 rooms in record time. First I shook out my rugs and quickly vacuumed with my 3 in 1 Turbo, now for the steam cleaning. Plugged in my steam mop. Didn't take too long to heat. I used the middle steam setting. Yes, it left a little water on the floor, but so does a mop and bucket water. It cleaned up my hairspray spots with ease. Maneuvered well around the toilet and shower area. It worked so fast and well, I went on to clean another bathroom and the Kitchen floor. (All while the baby was taking a cat nap). In the Kitchen, I loved how it swiveled around in the corners and around the chairs with ease. When used with the sweeper, I was able to clean all 3 rooms in less than 30 minutes. I did not move and do under the kitchen table. But was able to clean and disinfect the main area. I used the fragrance disk, it did not have a powerful smell. Purchasing these same products for my daughter who has 3 toddlers. I used it on Ceramic Tile floor and Linoleum Floor

STEAM MOP CLEANED VERY WELL....DAMP FLOORS ARE TO BE EXPECTED WHEN APPLYING STEAM TO A COOL SURFACE.... NO OPERATION PROBLEMS...USED DISTILLED WATER...BASED ON RESIDUE ON MOP HEAD IT GETS 5 STARS. UNNECESSARY MARKETING EMAILS WILL PROBABLY LEAD TO "UNSUBSCRIPTION"

I had another steamer for years. It was difficult to use due to the manual pump action. My new Bissell machine is easy to use and the results are fantastic! I have used it every weekend since my purchase. I am a tough critic and would certainly purchase this again and/or recommend to anyone who wants a great product with excellent results.

I had eyes on this steam mop for a long time. I finally decided to get it and I couldn't be happier. Best purchase of the year. I am very happy with this steam mop, I have a large 3bd appartement, a dog and a cat so I need a lot of cleaning. I only filled the water tank once and I could clean my entire home. I added the fragrance disc but used regular water bottle. The results was great! I feel safe during covid knowing the steam mop sanitize the floors. Next purchase will be the Barkbath portable !

I have textured tile floors in my kitchen and bathrooms and I can't believe how much cleaner my floors were after using the steam mop. I just love it!! My son was having a dinner party and asked to borrow my mop. His floors really came out clean so we are getting him a mop for Christmas.
