Ive had this steam mop for about a year now, the first 2 or 3 cleans it worked great. I was really impressed. Now my machine just makes this constant knocking noise and doesn't create steam. I did some research and found that I may need a new cap. But they are sold out! Seems like this is a cheaply made machine that quite a few people need to replace the cap so much that they cant keep them in stock. Time to shop for another brand!

We have ceramic tile floors in the kitchen with wide grout borders and short of getting down on hands and knees to clean it nothing we tried got the floor clean looking. Until I bought this steam mop. Oh how I love this. Oh how clean my kitchen floor is. We are debating whether to use it on the wood floors because I don't think they are sealed very well - this is an old apartment. The mop came with scented disks and they smell awful - made me gag but then I don't like Febreze products. But the mop? Fabulous!

I purchased this to replace my older Bissell Steam Mop when it finally died after 6 years. Glad I did. This one works even better than the older version. It gets the grout clean of dirt and grime that my cats and dogs leave behind. The amount of steam is really nice, now that you can control it. The scent pads do leave a nice odor behind. I do wish the water canister was larger, like the old one. I did about half of my house (all tile) and had to replace the canister once...no biggie, but still kind of a pain. The old model had a much larger canister. It's also a lot lighter than the previous version. Much easier to replace the mop cover on this one too! I'm very excited about this new mop. Thanks for another great product!

Within three weeks of purchase and use, this vacuum/steamer could not keep up with our 15 x 22 kitchen floor. Steaming the floor after food prep and meals at the end of the day - this product failed. No longer putting out steam, the 'trigger' only works part of the time. So disappointed as the Vacuum store recommended. I have not even filled out the warranty card!! Purchased the 'pet clean up' as we now have a 2 year old living with us - constant clean up.

The steam mop heats quickly, puts out lots of steam, has enough steam to do kitchen and patio, and picks up a lot of dirt. It is easy to use and we like it. However, the cleaning pads have been out of stock since we bought the mop. I am worried that I won't be able to replace the pads once they wear out. They need to be washed after each use and I don't know how long they will last. Otherwise, we have had no problems with the mop. None of the complaints others have listed. It just works great.

I bought this Steam Mop to replace my Shark that quit working. I have only used the Bissell once as I just received it a short time ago. I like it very much--seems to do a better job and gets down to the grout. Looking forward to using it for a long time.

I received my product a little while ago, just never took the time to leave a review. Reading over a few of the ones listed I thought I'd put in mine so it may help out someone else. I had a Eureka Floor Steamer and it was pretty good -- took off the grime and such, then I got a shark floor steam (free w/a purchase# -- the Shark replaced the Eureka #yes really# it seemed to give off a better steam -- and it was lighter too --- WELL THEN...I saw the PowerFresh 1940 - compared it to the two I already had and was won over. Now the PowerFresh has replaced the Eureka and the Shark. I love this little machine. While the earlier two I had got the job started on my 15+ year old vinyl floor -- the PowerFresh came in and finished the job. Its lightweight and has 3 settings #which neither of my other machines had# The area it covers is wider and the pads #if you put them on correctly (start from the square end and pull to the rounded end -- tuck in the corners# stay put very nicely. I love the 3 steam settings -- on the old floors that highest level is the best for cutting through the buildup that occurs when floors have lost their protective layer #for lack of a better term#. I used the PowerFresh to clean the floor and then mopped with a refinisher product -- then two days later did a light PowerFresh mop over the floor again...when folks come over they ask WHEN DID YOU GET A NEW FLOOR? How about that...after 15+ years the old floor is getting compliments. It was a combination of the two products but the PowerFresh got the buildup and my floor looks great -- The only thing folks have to be careful not to go over the floor too many times when the steamer is on high -- your pad will get very wet and the floor will then be very wet...if the floor is extremely dirty you may need to do this #just be aware of the water -- the machine is not broken). I don't recommend using the steamer on high on NON sealed wood floors because of the possibility of the water...I also would be cautious of using it on even SEALED wood floors on high! If you're mindful of the temperature and only go over a few times it should work out just fine. MY ONLY CON: I wish these mops had ON/OFF switches -- the machine makes noises when the water tank is empty...then you have to pull the plug to have it go off. An on/off switch would be a great idea for ANY of these types of machines. I also recommend the Bissell Spot Clean 5207 - it wouldn't come up in the recommendation list. This little guy does a great job for quick messes. Its small and compact too!

My rating is reflective of the fact that, I have now owned 2 of these machines, as they die out after only about a year of use. When it does work, it's a great machine. Gets nice and hot, love how well it cleans my tile floors from the messes that my kids make. I do wish I wasn't buying a new one every year, but it does work and easy to use.

I purchased this Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop for myself and liked it so much I purchased two more for Mother's Day gifts and both recipients love it as much as I do. Was stunned how dirty my floors still were after mopping by hand. But this got them amazingly clean and dried almost immediately. One of the gift recipients is 85 and loved how light and easy to use it is. Look no further for a steam mop!!

I've used this mop for about 4 times in a month and so far it's been doing a great cleanup job. The steam feature really works lovely and the floor feels so good to walk on with bare feet. I am very pleased with the easy set up and maneuverability (swivel feature is awesome).
