Now L.G. comes out with an ai enabled combo washer and dryer. I wasn’t able to get into the manual before my wife had it connect to the thin q app on her phone and changing the settings and starting a wash. I have been around a lot of innovation projects at some large companies and LG has really pushed the envelope on this unit. It senses your loads, how dirty the clothes are and takes care of the rest with the AI Wash and Dry setting. If you don’t trust the AI to take over your washing duties, select from 15 other wash cycles. My wife has to control it. I chose to let the AI do its thing. Yes, I would agree that larger and heavier loads do take longer to dry over my gas dryer. But since we load it up before we leave for work, it has 8 hours to wash and dry. With the Thin Q app, you can extend the drying time or start another cycle. I guess it just takes you to think differently on how to use the washer/dryer with the heat pump. Auto detergent/softener dispenser and the top lint collector, they have simplified the laundry process for me and my family. Not to forget the little brother that I also picked up. The LG SideKick Pedestal Washer. The wife and girls like it for washing smaller loads and their undergarments that need a little more TLC or just need to be air dried. As my wife said, #lifeisgood…

So glad I bought this combo machine! I was initially nervous because of older ventless technology I've had before, but this is totally different. LG hit a home run with this product and would definitely recommend to anyone that needs something space-saving or is limited by exhaust options. I used this in a backyard ADU because I was extremely limited on space, but this fit perfectly within the footprint of the kitchen.

Works just as advertised. Ran many loads of different sizes/types and all came out clean. Occasionally additional drying was needed but that's simple to do. It's nice not needing to move clothes from washer to dryer. Not needing a dryer vent nor a 220-240 volt dryer plug makes this very versatile.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace the GE all in one. It’s got a more compact design than the bulky (and shaky) GE. The LG is quieter, more efficient lint filter, easier to use drain for maintenance, and dries well. I do miss the slightly damp feature on GE which left clothes feeling nice and silky after shaking out bc I think the LG can feel too dry at times and clothes feel a bit crunchy, but we prefer LG for ease of use and maintenance. Once, the hose wasn’t installed far enough down and it kept triggering a blocked drain error, that’s the only issue we have had.

This washer has saved my life! As a busy Mom of 3 I can just throw in a load and not have to think about it and then it's ready to be folded! It is one unit so it fits in my tiny house perfectly, it looks sleek and it does the job right every time. Some of the best money I've ever spent in my life!

We have been using this combo unit for about a year now, and don't really have many complaints. It is both space efficient and energy efficient, and extremely convenient. It may take a little longer to wash and dry a load, but the difference is minimal, and the convenience of being able to start a load and come back a few hours later to clean, dry laundry really can't be beat. We did have one issue that required contacting LG support. The gasket on our lint filter had a manufacturing defect that prevented it from sealing properly, allowing some lint to bypass the filter and clog the condenser fins. After contacting them, they sent us a new lint filter assembly, and the pet dander filter assembly (which wasn't available when we purchased our unit) in a few days. Overall, we are incredibly happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to others.

I will say that there is a learning curve to the machine and that you do need to be on top of cleaning the lint on a regular basis, however once you understand the cycles and keep the machine clean, it works flawlessly. We’re a family on the go and this machine has saved us so much time by taking care of the dry cycle automatically, as opposed to us not being able to do laundry due to being on the baseball field, running errands or away at work. The app controlled feature are a nice touch and allow for oversight of the machine while on the go so you can check progress or see if your detergent levels are low. Overall I would recommend this machine to anyone, but especially to those who are frequently on the go.

I have been using this combo for a couple of months now and it is a great idea with a couple of quirks. Having two options in one machine saves much space in a small condo - very happy about that. One issue is that the dryer cycle is much longer than in a stand-alone dryer. The other one is that dried clothes (in a combo cycle) come out pretty wrinked.

We have had ours for a few months and I hate it! It might be great for a single person but for a family with dogs it sucks. The hair is always caked on the gasket. It is a nightmare to get it off of it too. It has never finished in 2 hours unless it’s the wash cycle only. It averages 3 hours 50 min. If I could trade it out I would.
