Year 1: Learned the machine and now very happy!
I've had this product for just over a year now and it has been excellent for our family. It was a bit of a positive lifestyle change because now we run laundry once every day or two (family of 4) rather than devoting an entire weekend day to marathon laundry. One of my favorite parts is that I no longer worry about wet clothes sitting forgotten in a washer. Normal full loads are typically 2-3 hours to wash and dry. Towels can get closer to 5-6 hours so we definitely save those for last load of the night if there are multiple loads. Much less lint than our old dryer and clothing color and texture seems to last longer. Wrinkles do happen more frequently than with the old dryer; I believe this is because the heat pump drying is a softer heat so clothes aren't basically ironed like in a high heat dryer. We don't have issues with it if we either remove laundry right after the load is done, or we remember to turn on Laundry Care, which tosses the laundry around every couple minutes after the cycle so it doesn't stay in one place to develop wrinkles. There are reviews about drying and lint trapping no longer working. I had this problem too. Turns out I wasn't cleaning the lint filter good enough. You need to run the lint filter under tap water and rub the screen between your fingers to actually clean it out. I had tried everything else and this seemed insignificant, but it worked! I do it once a month now and no issues since. I recommend this product after one year of use.

Easy!
I have only had my Washer/Dryer Combo - All-in-One for about two months, but I love it!!! I like having the notification come through on my phone when it is finished. I like all the options available to me. I admit I am a little tech-challenged, but I have been able to navigate through OK and liked the Chat assistance when needed. I will say, this may not be a good choice for a household which does numerous loads of laundry in one day, but for our household it is awesome!
Hey there, Nana! Thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds like that all‑in‑one unit is fitting your household perfectly, and we’re glad the notifications and options are making things easier. We’ll pass along your note about it being better suited for lighter laundry days. If you ever need help with anything, @LGUSSupport is always here for you. #LifesGood ❤️ -Rich
Time Saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving my LG Washer/Dryer Combo Unit. The ability to wash and dry without having to switch clothes over to the dryer. I work crazy hours at work and this unit allows my clothes to be washed and dried when I get home from work.

Combo Love
This LG WashCombo All-in-One works great! I find running frequent small loads is the best, as it keeps the cycle times at around the 2 hour mark. The convenience of starting up a load and coming back to dry, finished laundry is next level. WashCombo sarang haeyo~
Hey there! Thanks for the love for the WashCombo. Running those smaller, frequent loads really is the sweet spot, and we’re glad the all‑in‑one convenience is leveling up your laundry routine. WashCombo sarang haeyo right back. If you ever need a hand, @LGUSSupport is always here for you. #LifesGood ❤️ ‑Rich
Great ventless technology!
So glad I bought this combo machine! I was initially nervous because of older ventless technology I've had before, but this is totally different. LG hit a home run with this product and would definitely recommend to anyone that needs something space-saving or is limited by exhaust options. I used this in a backyard ADU because I was extremely limited on space, but this fit perfectly within the footprint of the kitchen.
Hey there. That’s awesome to hear! LG’s ventless technology has definitely come a long way, and it’s great that it’s working so well for your space. Sounds like the perfect fit for your ADU—efficient, compact, and hassle-free. Enjoy the convenience, and thanks for sharing your experience! 😊 ^ Diego
Great for busy or nighttime washes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great if you want to run it during the nighttime or when you're in a rush. Our old laundry machine had been extremely loud, and with the machine being right under our bed, it would frequently disrupt our sleep. This one is completely quiet! And even better, there's no need to move the laundry to a dryer overnight. Just pop it in before you sleep, and the clothes are ready to go in the morning. Same thing with when I'm in a rush, the washer-dryer combo is really revolutionary. It washes and dries my clothing excellently. I've had no issues with that. I love the customization I can have with the settings depending on my load. However, I wish the settings were a bit more intuitive. Coming from a non-smart, older washing machine, there was trouble understanding the detergent dispenser and which compartment was manual vs ezDispenser. It resulted in the first load to use all of the detergent we put in.. Also, we've noticed that the drying takes significantly longer (3-4x longer than washing). I can see this being an issue when trying to do multiple loads. Overall, a great product.
My dream washer/dryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I can put my clothes to wash and I don't have to go and transfer them to an other machine to dry. I also like that it text me when my clothes are done and that I haven't gotten them out of the machine. The only thing I don't know how to use yet is where you put the Lysol disinfect cleaner.
Hello, Sherrie. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG all‑in‑one washer and dryer, and it’s wonderful to hear how much you’re enjoying the convenience of washing and drying in one place. Getting helpful text alerts and not needing to transfer clothes definitely makes laundry feel lighter. Your note about figuring out where to add the Lysol cleaner is a great callout, and it’s awesome that you’re exploring all the features of your LG unit. LG Support is Atrocious
We have given this new technology and expensive washer dryer over six months trial. Not only does it not dry, but it also doesn’t drain. We have contacted LG, and they have provided little to know, insightful technical assistance to resolve our problem. As you can expect, are considerations for LG products in the future is low.
Hi there. We want you to know we're here for you and your LG washer dryer combo, so let's review troubleshooting together to make your laundry dreams come true! To start, we recommend checking the drain filter as this may impact both draining and drying for your unit. We have an article for those steps here: https://tinyurl.com/24oja9uk and you can reach us on social media @LGUSSupport for additional assistance. *Chey
In short, the Dryer ruins it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washing side of the fence gets 5*'s. AI functions get 5*'s, the remote access app is fantastic and gets 5+*'s. The in machine detergent and fabric softener gets 5*'s, soooo many good things about the machine! BUT The Dryer SUCKS and will lead me to return this otherwise fantastic product. As others have said, you can run the machine but they clothes will come out damp. 1-2 more drying sessions MIGHT work, but now you are talking 7-10 hours for a single load. Many times once the dryer is done you open the door and STEAM comes out, meaning the clothes are HOT but not dry. Self help guides tell you to constantly clean the drains, and dryer vents but that does not solve the issue....
Hi, there. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Wash Combo (WM6998HBA) model. We understand how important it is for your laundry appliances to work efficiently and reliably. We strive to provide high-quality products exceeding our customers' needs and expectations. If your LG dryer is taking too long to dry your clothes or your dryer is not heating properly, this is likely due to a blockage to the dryer's airflow, making dry times longer than normal. Great features and Huge Time Saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the washer dryer combo—- but am loving the ThinQ app even more! I use all different settings and sometimes only do a wash, use my separate dryer and start a wash/dry combo on another load. This has truly saved me time. The app is great and I can see how many minutes are left, so I know to go down into the basement to switch it out. The app also has good updates with different melodies and mini screens to choose from.
