Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model is better than the previous one, the Old one had a rubber inside which causes the washer and dryer combo not lasted a longer time. This new one inside is metal which I am expecting for it to last longer
Hi, Chamya! We’re glad to hear your LG Washer and Dryer Combo is already impressing you. The upgraded metal interior is a great step forward, and it’s wonderful knowing you’re expecting even longer‑lasting performance compared to your previous model. It sounds like this new design is exactly what you were hoping for! For more feedback or questions, please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Thanks for choosing LG! #LifesGood ^James
All in one is way easier - nice quiet unit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works really well. ***If you have not used a heap pump dryer/ventless before.....the clothes FEEL damp when they come out. It's the difference in relative humidity. Wait 5 seconds or shake it once and it's now "dry"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive got the Washer/Dryer Combo, and has been using it for few months. I love the design and the combo spec that allows you to complete everything at once. It will wash and dry all at once, but one thing I do not like is that the dryer is super long. I usually do regular Washer/Dryer AI option which is the second main option, but the dryer takes about 3 hrs or long, so in total, it will take 4 hr and half. Also, after the dryer function, the rubber part of the machine has all the dust on it, meaning we would need to clean the parts (interior) every single time we load washer (or it will have all the dust in the washing cycle). Do not understand why it is not collecting the dust out to the dust bin. But i love the Thin Q app, where you can see the status of the load and even select options on the phone
Great idea!
I have been using this combo for a couple of months now and it is a great idea with a couple of quirks. Having two options in one machine saves much space in a small condo - very happy about that. One issue is that the dryer cycle is much longer than in a stand-alone dryer. The other one is that dried clothes (in a combo cycle) come out pretty wrinked.
Great Technology
I received my washer a little over a week ago and had to send in a review on this product. When I received the washer/dryer I wanted to test all of the listed features to make sure that everything worked as described. The wash & dry feature does adjust depending on the size of the load that you put in. So I started with a regular sized load, this resulted in a 1hr 52min cycle. I did find that if you open the washer door to add in clothes that it will increase the time allotted for the wash/dry cycle. That being said, when the wash/dry was complete the clothes were 90% dry. I left the clothes in while there was steam to completely dry. That did work and the clothes were fully dry within 10min. The transition between washer and dryer is seamless and you barely hear the machine when in a laundry room. I think that this is a great investment for a family that does laundry often. This washer dryer combo has saved so much time that I would be using switching from my washing machine to dryer.
DOES NOT DRY
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product does NOT dry even small loads of laundry - even after 8 hours. We clean the top and bottom filter after every load and still have to hang clothes to dry. We followed every instruction - empty top and bottom filters after every load and dry the tub. Still won't dry. Horrible product and very disappointing.
Hello, we appreciate you reaching out to us with your feedback and concerns. Our top priority is getting your unit to dry clothes as it should and no worries, we are here to help! The most common reason for clothes not fully drying with the washer/drier combo unit is an internal airflow blockage. Air exits the drum through the lint filter. You have done a great job emptying both the top and bottom filters, but we would also like to recommend a few more steps. We recommend you try running the lint filter under cool water to get any tiny particles out of the filter, since it's such a fine mesh, you might not be able to see the clog. Then, carefully vacuum the evaporator/condenser area in the lint filter area on the right side, as some lint could get behind the cover and cause blockage. If, after trying these troubleshooting steps, you don't see an improvement in the drying, we would love to invite you to send us a private message via Social Media at @LGUSSupport. We will help you fall in love with your appliance once again!~Ivy
Error codes caused 2 returns.Everything else grea
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit is nice to look at, very easy to setup with only 2 inlet hoses 1 outlet hose and a 120v plug. Easy controls with a intuitive app to pair with it. If it wasnt for the fact 2 units had to be returned because of a LE2 Compressor error code it'd be 5 stars.
Hi there. Thank you for reaching us. I'm so sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your LG washer, specifically with the compressor error code LE2. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to deal with the inconvenience of having to return two units. First and foremost, I want to acknowledge that you mentioned the unit's ease of setup, intuitive app, and sleek design, which is music to my ears! We're proud of the design and features that make our products stand out. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris
Does its job but is very high maintenance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, we bought this machine back in early February 2024. It's been a mixed bag. For those that are unfamiliar with the technology, you should NOT expect the same type of behavior as you would see on a conventional separate washer and dryer. We knew that before purchasing, so we tried to not let the extended drying time color our opinion. The machine DOES do what it advertises. It washes and dries clothing appropriately, although it does take quite a bit longer than its conventional counterparts. Everything is pretty straightforward, and it's got some nifty upgrades available via the wifi update. Here's the problem - the ongoing maintenance. What a pain. You HAVE to regularly disassemble the top to clean out the condenser fins with a toothbrush. If you're short, or mechanically disinclined, this is not a good fit for you. The worst part for us is that the owner's manual is wholly insufficient on one detail. It casually mentions the need for keeping the mesh lint filter clean, but that's not entirely accurate. After a couple of months, we started getting condensation forming in the detergent dispenser drawer and dripping into the floor. It also got to a point where the machine NEVER turned off...it couldn't tell that the clothes were actually dry. More than once it just kept going for 8-10 hours. We called LG and they sent out a repairperson who assumed it was the main control board and replaced it accordingly, but the problem continued. My wife found a random comment on a reddit thread from someone who had encountered the same problem, and the repairperson in that circumstance figured out that you had to actually wipe the mesh filter with white vinegar on a paper towel, THEN rinse it and allow it to air dry. That mild acid was necessary in order to break up the microscopic residue that was still present in the filter. You can't get it out by doing the "rinse it under running water" prescribed in the manual. It will "look" clean to the eye following the manufacturer guidance, but when you do the additional step of wiping it down with vinegar, you will see a dramatic difference. You can reasonably expect to do this once every three to four weeks. So, we DO like the machine. We have no intention of getting rid of it, but you should be aware of the significant technical skills necessary to keep it running well. If you can't handle that extra responsibility, this is not a good purchase as you will just get frustrated.
Hello, there. Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with your LG Washer model WM6998HBA. We appreciate your thorough feedback on both the positives and challenges you've encountered. It's great to hear that the machine performs well in washing and drying your clothing, as advertised, and that you appreciate the additional features available via wifi updates. However, we understand the frustration caused by the ongoing maintenance requirements and the challenges with the lint filter and condensation issues. Your feedback regarding the owner's manual and the necessity of additional maintenance steps like using white vinegar to clean the mesh filter is valuable to us. We appreciate your patience and look forward to resolving these issues for you. ^Sam
Great washer and dryer combo
Ive never owed a washer and dryer combo And thought adjusting would take a while Since im used to having a washer and dryer separate . To my surprise I’ve really enjoyed this feature . This feature allows for great time management. I am able to leave the laundry room and my phone will notify me when the load is done . That is amazing as it’s easy to forget the wet clothes over night and then some clothes will be ruined . You can always use the washer separately meaning only for washing or drying which makes this a great option if you share washers with other family members you are not limited . There is some many options to adjust how you wash your clothes for example you can set for extra rinse , extra soiled. This washer is a great size , specially if you are space limited but large enough to fit thick blankets . That was the first thing I did was wash my thick blankets and the drying took longer which is to be expected . Blanket was so soft . This washer is very easy to use.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s great to read how convenient the all-in-one washer and dryer has been for you. You might love our LG Styler, which is a smart steam closet that refreshes clothes, reduces wrinkles, and eliminates odors without washing. It’s perfect for keeping your favorite outfits, blankets, and even plush toys fresh between washes. Needs improvements
I've had the WM6998HBA for about 6 months now. Would I buy it again, probably not. Cleaning the machine of lint is high maintenance - you have to clean the filter in the top after every use, vacuum or wipe off lint from the front tub liner, and then remove a vent from the top once in a while with a screw driver, and wipe lint off the glass. Also, dry times are not accurate - it usually takes an extra 1 or 2 hours to dry, and I live in a very dry climate. I do love the convenience of the all in one, but I wouldn't recommend for more than a household of 2, otherwise laundry time is just too long.
