We bought this unit to save space in our very small laundry room. The size is GREAT, but the performace leave much to be desired. It take HOURS for one load to wash and dry. Also much of the time the clothes come out damp and require more time to dry. You can also forget about large items such as a comforter. We can wash it, but have to take it to the laudrymat to get it dried. There are several other issies such as the lint buildup around the rubber seal. We have had to get this unit serviced at least three times in just over a year, which has been another process altogether. The display has gone out and we had water leaking onto the floor. A nice idea, but I think it is time to go back to a traditional washer and dryer. Hopefully the technology will get better.

I purchased this machine in February 2024 and have had repair people out to my home 4 times. The heat pump and the control panel were both replaced under warranty. Now the start button won’t work again and there is an error with the vibration sensor and the machine just shuts off in the middle of the wash cycle. I clean the lint filter between every cycle, but the repairmen told me that with this machine I need to hose off the filter and not just use the swipe feature. I have to not only rinse the filter, but also rinse the side filter, remove the back plastic screen (which isn’t easy!), and reach my hand into the flexible exhaust tube to manually remove the lint. Per manufacturer recommendation, the tub clean cycle must be run every 30 leads, but the repairmen suggested every 15. I have to drain the machineand clean the lower trap after every 2-3 loads and despite all of this, the machine constantly fills with lint. This causes the lint filter to fill with water which accumulates in the control panel and ruins the electronic features Over the past 1.5 years I have had to use the app to start this machine more than the start button. All of this also leads to dry times of 5+ hours. My machine sits on a pedestal and the pedestal also fills with water regularly due to the lint accumulation. Repairmen gave told me that my experience is not unique. This very expensive machine has been a nightmare.

Stick with a traditional dryer unit boys and girls, because the dryer feature on this machine is far from "efficient". "Great Energy Savings" - where? It takes hours to dry a tiny load - no thank you! I thought it was just me - but after reading various other reviews - it seems I'm not the only one - unfortunately. At one point I thought I would just test out the drying feature - I put one DRY t-shirt into the machine and it "sensed" that it would take 1 hour and 34 minutes to dry - what the - it was already dry.... The washing performance it just like any other machine - but I don't think it's dispensing detergent either... I was looking for an upgrade and got a lemon instead....

BUYER BEWARE! If you are washing clothes for more than one person, you will always have loads of laundry piling up or you will be running your machine 24/7. I have never been able to get more than three loads of laundry done in one day because unless I do a quick wash, every load take between 4-5 HOURS! I have NEVER had a load of towels come out completely dry in the first 4 hour wash/dry cycle, even with only washing 5 towels. Every single time I have to re-run a dry cycle that takes an additional 1.5-3 hours. So if you ever plan on washing and drying towels, make sure you have about 7 hours to do so. The unit itself is quiet but does reverberate at times causing an unpleasant vibration that’s hard to get away from if your unit is in the common spaces of your home. The only good thing I’ve found so far is that a few connect the unit to the LG app it lets you know if there’s an issue or to remove the load when finished.

I had such high hopes for this machine but it just keeps letting me down. I’ve had repair people out twice (now out of the warrantee period), it regularly doesn’t dry. The AI wash and dry takes forever. It often tells me it’s low on detergent when it’s not, despite the fact that I clean the dispensing drawer regularly. It’s really the worst machine I’ve ever had. Considering replacing it after just a year. I’ve spent hours upon hours trying to fix the numerous problems I’ve had with it.

We bought our machine at the end of January 2025, we have had it for less than 8 months and have already required 2 separate service calls. The first because the unit stopped drying the clothes, we had a defective filter that was changed out. Now our pump has stopped working and the washing machine won't drain. LG has been horrible to work with, service calls taking over a week to schedule. I will never buy another LG system again, this was a complete waste of money and I regret my purchase. LG doesn't even list the parts online for this model so you can order the parts yourself and fix the machine instead of waiting.

I love this washer dryer combo.I do have to keep up with the maintenance removing lint from lint trap and empty water from drain but over all it's a great washer/dryer. It does take longer to dry clothing because it dries by heat pump but I dont mind because it's only my husband and I that I have to wash for. If I had a big family I would recommend 2 or 3 of these. We've had ours for 2 years with no issues. I love that it saves space in our small laundry area. It has lots of good features and wash /dry cycles. I also love the auto dispenser for laundry soap and softner. I dont have to put that in every load.I think the dispenser holds about 10 loads worth of soap and softner. The clothes sometimes come out feeling damp but it's just the humidity. After I have the clothes out for a few minutes I can tell they are actually dry. I never fill the machine full of clothing. Half way is the most I load for max performance.

So far, this has been amazing. I like all the different settings.
