I love this stuff so much. It makes my clothes smell so good and feel so soft. Downy is always the trusted brand I go to when I buy fabric softener and the April Fresh is top of my list. Its scent is very light to me. Not to heavy, which is great cause I don't like heavy scents. And the price is very fair. Its always on sale somewhere. And you can find coupons all the time for it also. I highly recommend this for everyone.

The scent is not overpowering at all and the clothes are soft and wrinkle free. it seems some items absorb the softness better then others, it won't make bad towels you have had forever suddenly soft again. For clothing it works better then on towels.

Even though Downy still delivers as far as softness, etc., the new smell is horrible! I started to notice it late last year and thought it was my color safe bleach. My husband developed an allergy to whatever it is they've added. The smell is overpowering and I still find clothes and sheets that have that nasty smell. I'm seeing newer reviews about how wonderful the new scent is, and quite honestly, I don't believe them. It smells like a toilet mint. Seriously. A toilet mint - and it never, ever fades away until you rewash it. It also leaves kind of a lanolin type feeling on your skin and hands - and not in a pleasant way. Bottom line - excellent product before they "improved" it. Please - go back to the old way. Who decided this was a good idea - lol? Sheesh!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved the Downy brand and have used it almost exclusively for years. I was excited to try the new and improved version of Downy, so I used it for the last week on all my loads of laundry. I received the April Fresh scented Downy and to be honest, it’s the scent I have always liked the least. It’s a generic scent that many brands carry and it’s a little old lady smelling. Barring the unfavorable scent though, I think the improved Downy is... the same. Perhaps the difference is just more subtle than I expected. I purposely watched my bed sheets so that I would have something I would be in contact with every day for a week, but I didn’t notice much difference between the old Downy I normally use and the new version. Of course the sheets smelled nice and kept their fresh scent for a long time, but I would have expected that from the old version too. As far as wrinkles go, maybe it’s done it’s job better, I can’t say that anything stood out to me though. I typically leave things in the dryer for a while once it’s done drying, and nothing seemed any less wrinkled than usual. I didn’t have an unfavorable experience, it’s just that it was unremarkable. I felt like my old Downy does the same job as the new one I tried. It doesn’t change my opinion of Downy, I will continue to buy it. I just don’t think I would spend extra (if this improved brand costs extra) on the bells and whistles that it offers when I’m perfectly happy with the job that Downy has already done for me all these years.

I use Downy because my mother used Downy and I only use the April fresh because it reminds me of when I was a kid and it reminds me of when I used to do my kids' laundry because that is what I did their laundry in absolutely love Downy as a fabric softener it works excellent it is a great for your fabrics no static clean and it leaves a nice good scent absolutely love it recommended highly and I will buy it again

Our family has been loyal Downy customers for as long as I can remember. As an adult, with my own kids, I keep on the tradition. There's just something about the smell of laundry fresh out of the dryer smelling amazing like Downy. I was provided a 12 load sample to review from Influenster and I love my Downy.

I have tried many kinds of fabric softeners from cheaper to pricer but here recently Downy is my go to ! Now many fabric softener promise that the scent will last for weeks only to disappoint me and fade with in a few day. : '/ However Downy scent actually last at least almost 2 weeks I'd say I've noticed for sure. That is a big reason I have decided Downy is our go to softener from now on. They also have many scents so you are sure to find one you love. Now to be honest o do love the smell , the softness and everything about it but I have found a scent I liked a little more . Downy Infusion Lavender Serenity but even so I keep both in the house because April Fresh smells amazing too.

I have been known to spend an hour or more in an aisle just smelling all the available products before making my selection. And the first thing I notices about this product? It smells wonderful. Clean and not too sweet. Noticible but not overpowering. For this alone I would give it 5 stars. But then I noticed that after using it my wrinkle-prone shirts and pants somehow had less wrinkles then normal even when I didn't hang them right after washing. Wow. If I could give it a 6th star I would.

Once I spend a whole day running loads of laundry with fabric softener, I can honestly say I’ll probably never go back. With small children I do laundry every day. Sometimes clothes come out dry and stiff and the color fades fast sometimes sometimes my clothes were dry and staff or the color faded too fast. I have now found that with using downy fabric softener, my clothes are not only softer when I take them out, but the color is fading a lot less. I also enjoy the fresh scent The fabric softener leaves behind on my clothes. When I washed my sheets for my bed, it was so wonderful laying down and having them smell so fresh. I will never go back to not using fabric softener again. This is a life-changing move
