I've been buying downy april fresh since it came out and always loved the smell I don't know what happened to this batch I just bought or if it was a bad batch but it smells terrible definitely not the same I don't know if you changed the formula if you did change it back to the original this one I just bought stinks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It smelled great before I opened the bottle. I couldn't wait to do laundry. I wasn't let down. My sheets have never smelled better. I was also happy the static cling wasn't present. I usually use dryer sheets because it's easy and I usually forget to add liquid softeners but if my laundry is going to be this soft I guess I will make more effort to get it right. No sensitive skin issues and no tackiness left on my clothes. I really like Downy April Fresh fabric softener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smells fantastic, left our laundry nice and soft (and fluffy). So far the smell has lasted about a week on the clothes, which I appreciate! The whole point of using this type of product is that the smell lingers on the fabric. Otherwise I'd just use dryer sheets for static prevention. I'm really satisfied with this product overall.

I miss the old scent. This new formula that has been out for a while is too strong. I open my washer after doing a load of laundry and the smell literally smacks me in the face when I open the door. I shouldn’t be choking on fumes from my bedding when trying to sleep because the fabric softener is too overpowering. On a side note— as other reviewers have mentioned, my one star review is changed to a four star review after selecting “preview” before posting.

I received the Ultra Downy as a test sample from influenster and have been using it for about a week. It does seem to work as a softener but I don't see ULTRA results. The scent is very faint, some may prefer that but I like a bit stronger smell. It does seem to do the job though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer is great! It was really easy to use in my HE washer. It made my laundry smell great. Not only that, but it made my clothes much less wrinkly, much softer and they have way less static than normal. I didn't even have to use a dryer sheet after washing. I am so pleased with the Downy Fabric Enhancer that I am adding it to my daily laundry routine.

My family and I used to use a different brand other than downy and my skin on my back would always break out. I'm not sure if switching had anything to do with it or not but a month after switching to downy, my back was clear! I'm now in college and this is the only fabric softener I use and I will be a lifelong customer because of how it actually changed how I felt about myself..oh and it also smells super refreshing!

This downy liquid fabric smells so so good! My mother in law uses this and this is when I started using it! It has the best smell I’ve ever smelled! The clothes smells amazing for long time and looks really clean as well! The price isn’t bad for the quality you get! Definitely recommend.

Our laundry felt softer and smelt better than it has in a while! There was no residue feeling on it, either, which sometimes happens with fabric softeners. We are now fans and will continue to use it on a regular basis!

Depending of your preference, the scent may be a bit too strong. In addition to the fresh scent, clothes are soft and smooth. I personally like this product for towels and washcloths over my every day clothes because of the strong scent. Regardless, this product works as advertised and I will use it again. I have a HE front load washer, this detergent worked just fine in my machine.
