[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy has quite a few claims regarding the benefits: Softens, freshens, reduces wrinkles, reduces fuzz and pills, prevents static, keeps colors bright. On some it is hard to tell if makes a substantial difference but it seems to work. I washed a sweater recently that previously came back from the cleaners a touch faded and a little pilly. The next time I washed it myself and used Downy. It looked good after the wash. I was afraid it would further fade or pill more but it did not and if anything looked a little better. In general, the reduced static and fresh scent are very noticeable benefits. While hard to tell if there are less wrinkles, and reduced fuzz and pills, I am not noticing wrinkles and fuzz/pilling problems so it is difficult to argue that it does not work. For the more obvious benefits alone it is worth it. A little goes a long was as opposed to some of the cheaper fabric softeners out there and if you get some of the other benefits over time it is an added bonus.

I’ve always used April Fresh scent until I recently discovered this scent. I’m not even exaggerating when I say I look like those people on the commercials that sniff everything it was washed with. My husband looks at me crazy, but it’s a heavenly smell and I don’t care how I look with my face stuffed in my blanket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first opened the bottle of Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer, I was a bit concerned with the scent. I found it overpowering and generally not the type of scent that I am usually drawn to for laundry products (I love the Botanical Mist scented Downy products). However, I found after using the product in the wash, the scent isn't overpowering on freshly washed clothing. I think the product does help with softening fabric. I have generally tried to reduce household products with heavy scent, dyes, and other chemicals, but still find myself reaching for Downy with items such as sheets, towels, and jeans, because they feel crunchy and uncomfortable when I don't use it. My sheets and towels also feel much fresher when I pull them out of the closet a week after a wash compared to when I don't use Downy. Jeans and other clothing items are noticeably less wrinkly when I use Downy. I do not care for the fact that all of the ingredients used in the product aren't disclosed. Some simply say dye, perfumes, etc. This gives me great concern, because if Procter & Gamble feels the need to keep them off of the label, I automatically think that there must be a reason for it. With my children's skin being exposed to the fabric in their clothes and sheets pretty much all of the time, I'm unwilling to use this product on their items. All in all I think this is a decent product, but I am giving a rating of 2/5 because I do not care for the scent and because of concern over the ingredients used.

I've been a devout user of fabric softener sheets for years and have seriously considered switching to liquid after trying the Liquid Softener from Downy. A little softener really goes a long way and leaves my clothes smelly fresh.

It works great to soften clothes and keeps them in great condition and the colors bright. The smell is lasting which I love! Definitely been around forever for a reason. I would definitely recommend Downy fabric softener.

I received a free package of this to try and all opinions are my own. I love Downy fabric softner, my clothes smell wonderful. I have even had people comment on how good I smell even when I'm not wearing any perfume. I just tell them it's the Downy I used in the wash.

I said no, it's my new fabric softener. She said what? That smells great. I said it's Downy.i love the way it makes my clothes smell and feel. After we had coffee and got up to leave, she said you have to tell me exactly which one you're using because my kids clothes don't come out smelling that good or their clothes that soft. I told her I'll send her a picture if it when I was doing my laundry. She was so happy when I sent her the picture!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was definitely not what I expected. I'm not usually a fan of fabric softeners, I thought my dryer sheets were enough. Turns out I was wrong. I tried this product on my towels first. They came out so incredibly soft. I thought I had bought new ones. Then I tried it with my regular clothes. I could smell It throughout the entire day and they felt so soft.

After trying several softeners, the Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner is the only one that eliminates odors while softening the crustiness of his soiled clothes religiously! I am also amazed of how it helps maintain the colors of the fabrics since they have to be washed more than normal due to frequent accidents. This has become my laundry secret weapon!

Down fabric softener has been my go to for years. Delicate on fabric and a little goes a long way. I won’t wash bedding or towels without it, they just feel rough otherwise.
