[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how the scent continues to linger for an extended period of time. I am they type of person who does laundry on the weekends and when my clothes still smell great just about a week later it puts a smile on my face.

I absolutely love the Downy April Fresh Fabric Softener! I reall felt like it got the job done when it came to making my clotges smell magical and making them soft as the could be. I also noticed that the fragrance seemed to linger a few days after i washed, which i absolutely loved!. The smell was amazing, it wasnt weak or anything and it was to too strong. It was the perfect formula for my clothes. Deffinatley a recommend to my family and friends!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm REALLY liking my April Fresh Ultra Downy! I had used Downy products in the past. However, the measuring lines in the caps were NOT for he products - and we had to use trial and error - since then, they've added the NEW markings based on regular, NOT "ultra", measuring lines built in to the cap. What I AM liking about the new cap that I have is the fact that they've taken the guess work out and are including the ACTUAL measurement markings for the "he" compatible concentrated product - NICE! It has a very nice aroma. The product does seem to soften, however, it also depends on whether you do one or two rinses. I have found a couple of things that I do not care for - the fact that the fragrance does not last - only three or four days, tops. And, It would be nice if the makers of Downy would NOT use a coloring agent OR, at least make it less blue and more "opaque" - almost clear. The product really doesn't keep my clothing bright, doesn't have long lasting freshness, I still have static cling UNLESS I use a dryer sheet with it, NOR has it prevented pilling, etc. - Basically, it seems like the product does NOT do for my laundry what I have read that it is suppose to do. Yes, I DO use it from time to time - I grew up on it and it's hard to switch to something else when you've used a product for over 50 years. I DO like the fragrance and have been known to cut the bottles open - after use and dried - cutting the bottle up to use as scent providers for small areas - drawers, etc. Do I recommend this product? Yes, as a laundry additive and NOT based on all of the marketing hype. Just try it not thinking about the statements made for selling purposes and just try it and see if it's something that you'll want to use. The thing is, NO product can do what has been claimed - it's impossible - because of the rigors of daily usage of the garments AND all of the agitation of the washing machine AND water - especially, if you have city water or well water - treated or untreated. I do use it and probably will for a long time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Downy April Fresh is a great addition to my laundry routine. My clothes come out of hte washer smelling fresh and good. The clothes I hang to dry don't get the "crunchy" feeling some ocassionally get from hang drying. I am very pleased with this product!

I live in the Rocky Mountains at 7500 ft. I simply cannot open the downy top. I have used all type of tools to no avail. I wanted to do laundry today, but I can't do this until my husband gets home. If I lived alone, I would not be able to use your product. I have lived here for 3 years and it just within the last year I have had this trouble. Is there something you can do to make it easier to open? My husband whom has very strong hands must use a tool to open this.

I love the freshness smell that stays with you all day. I also love that it protects your clothes color to keep them like new nive and bright and helps with the wrinkles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I’ve always been a downy fan. So I know what to expect when it comes to their fabric softeners. I have only ever used the yellow cap, but boy am I glad I have tried the pink cap now! The smell is fresh, not too heavy and lasts a good while. Actually, I washed my bedding and now my entire room smells so good! Downy keeps my fabrics soft and reduces pilling. I give this 5/5 stars!

My go to scent. I use the on my husband pants and all our clothes. This is the best softener out on the market. I will buy no other brand. Thank you Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Softener! I’d love if you’d make a Plumeria scent. It would remind me of home.

As many of the other reviewers have noted, Downy April Fresh is a staple in most American homes. Unfortunately, our family went to use the "new" formulation and had to rewash our clothes to get the overpowering scent to go away. It is not the comforting smell we have all come to love and expect. Please P&G, bring back the original formulation. I fear you are going to lose a lot of loyal customers with this change. I'm headed out to see if I can get any of the old formulation.

I haven't used Downy in a long time but was excited to get a free sample from Influenster and gladly started pouring some in my washing machine with each load. The smell took me back to my teen years as my best friend always smelled like Downey's fabric softener. I did find a few greasy looking spots that I'm guessing were from the fabric softener but it didn't do it the second load so it could have just been a mishap. All in all a great product. A bit pricey in store but there are always coupons floating around and it really is much better than the off brands!
