I really liked the April Fresh scent because it was not very overpowering. I grabbed a new bottle at the store and when I pulled my clothes out of the washer I was disappointed that they smelled different. My last bottle did not have the fabric protect and the new one does. I'm beginning to think that changed the scent... Either way, I'm very disappointed and will have to go back to my Downy free. I liked having just a touch of scent to my clothes and this is definitely not what I wanted.

The product is thick and clumpy. I diluted it with water when I used it but it was hard to mix. When I put the cap back on the bottle it oozed out of the bottle, making a mess. I do not care for the fragrance. Based on other reviews I have read this is a common occurrence. I am throwing the rest of the bottle away and trying a different product...no more Downy for me!

I previously used Tide with bleach but have since crossed over to Tide with Downey. Tide with Downey along with Downey leaves my garments smelling absolutely wonderful. Weeks after I wash they smell like I washed yesterday. I will never use another laundry detergent again I am completely sold on the cleaning quality and aroma of Tide w/Downey and Downey April Fresh. My wife wanted to use the same amount of Downy she always uses but I convinced her to follow the instructions. She was surprised of the results. She loved it and the fragrance was great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer is a product I would highly recommend! My clothes came out smelling so good, and my towels were so soft. I wash mostly in cold water, and it worked great. I would absolutely buy this again myself.

April fresh downy had been used by three generations of my family. I guess I was the last because nothing compares to the old April fresh. I used to love how my blankets smelled after hanging on the washline. The new scents stink and I no longer purchase Downy fabric softener. You had 3 generations of customer loyalty and you blew it.

My clothes did not have any static cling and felt the same as the clothes in which I’ve used dryer sheets. The only drawback is the smell. The April Fresh scent is strong while the clothes were being washed. Fortunately, the smell was nowhere near as prevalent after they were dried.

Downy has a nice scent that is not over powering. I have had no issues with static in any of my loads of laundry, nor fading. It is so nice to have a product that works as well as it says it will.

This fabric softner I believe can kill any bad smell. I placed the bottle in a small closet and coulr literally smell it every time I opened the door. I love pulling my clothes out of the dryer and smelling this come out. While the softness is not to much of a difference then when I don't use it the fact that the fresh smell last on my clothes for days and even weeks after , is the reason that I keep coming back to this brand. I've been using this product for a long time and it is definitely a must have! My clothes feel super soft and smell awesome! I've never had any issue using this in my HE washer, either. Did I mention how affordable this stuff is? There's nothing I love more than that first whiff of April freshness when I crawl into bed.
