I have been using Downy April Fresh for as long as I have been doing laundry. I love the fresh smell of our clothes from using Downy. A few years ago, I was disappointed when the scent pearls were added and ruined the wonderful smell. Now, I just bought a new bottle of Downy with the new "fabric protect". After washing my first load of laundry I knew right away something was not right! The scent is not the same. It's very strong and unpleasant. I want the normal Downy April Fresh back! My clothes don't smell good anymore! Why change the scent of something that everyone loves so much?

I absolutely love the scent of this! It leaves my clothing soft and comfortable. Just be careful not to use too much because it can cause irritation or leave streaks on clothing. Don't let that deter you from this product! It is still fantastic when used right!

I am not a fan of fabric softeners because of all the chemicals. I did use it in a load of laundry to say that I used it. It made the clothes smell nice, and have a softness to them. But I won't be using this again. Thank you for the sample. I tried this bottle out I did try Downy out for free through Influenster, but all the opinions are my own.

This product comes out of the bottle as a gummy mess. Even after one adds water to the dispenser, the Downy tends to clog up the dispensing apparatus. Worst of all, their web site does not allow me to share my complaint with them. Now, I am stuck with 90 fl. oz. of nice smelling goo.

It simply works and my family loves the smell when putting on their clothes...and strangers love it too! Move over Old Spice, this is the scent that is attractive to everyone!

This fabric softener is terrific! My husband complains his uniforms are too stiff so I used Downy to attempt too "soften" them and after my first use it made a difference, after a few there was a noticable differance. Also my husband works in law enforcement and doesn't want to smell life "flowers" and this scent was perfect, it leaves a slight scent but not overpowering. I also have twins with sensitive skin so I have to be careful what I use and thankfully not only did it pass the hubby test but the twins also. I will definitely continue to use. April fresh downy had been used by three generations of my family. I guess I was the last because nothing compares to the old April fresh. I used to love how my blankets smelled after hanging on the washline. The new scents stink and I no longer purchase Downy fabric softener. You had 3 generations of customer loyalty and you blew it.

It is such a soft and comforting scent. Plus it reduces wrinkles and helps keep colors bright! What more could I ask for?

I stopped using dryer sheets and switched to dryer balls a few months ago because I hated that weird film the clothes seemed to get. The Downey liquid didn’t leave that film at all and the smell isn’t too strong. I don’t have a specific place in my washer for softener, so I just had to add it in the bottom with the soap so I may not be getting the full benefits. Once my bottle is empty, I will purchase another one.

I never have used liquid fabric softener. I wondered just how well this would work. I'm so very impressed! It smells sooo good! I'm blown away that it smells better than our detergent does!! Our clothes are so much softer as well. I will definitely be switching from dryer sheets to Ultra Downy Liquid Fabric Softener!!
