[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the smell of Downy fabric softener. I also live in the desert so static cling is kept at bay when I use Downy. One of my biggest pet peeves with a fabric softener is that it can leave stains (like oil stains?) on thin fabric. I've never had that happen with Downy. Plus the fact that the smell lasts so long is a bonus!

Yes - why did you change the scent? Why did you change the formula? This has a terrible stink - Downy no longer makes the laundry soft and it does leave lumpy blue stuff in the dispenser. Also, why do you use such a silly cap that when you try to pour after shaking the product runs onto or into the washing machine?. As I said it smells so bad - it makes me crabby.

My laundry is comprised of work clothes, stinky sports uniforms, delicate items, and lots of towels and Downy leaves everything soft and smelling fresh (for those who have hockey enthusiasts in your house, you know a product is good if it can help get rid of the horrible hockey uniform smell). I love the fresh smell of Downy - it isn't too strong and it doesn't fight with a woman's perfume. In addition, the fresh smell remains even if an item sits in the closet unused for awhile. One of my teenage son's friends actually asked what we used to wash our clothes - just the fact that a teenage boy would ask is a product endorsement. As it relates to softness, Downy does an exceptional job. I have four children who think used towels should reside on the bathroom floor, so by the time the towels make it to the laundry room, they are mildewed or stiff as a board. Downy helps eliminate the smell of mildew and leaves the towels soft and fluffy. If only Downy could get my kids to hang their towels up . . . one can dream. One of my children suffers from eczema, so we have to be careful about detergents and softeners. Downy is the only softener we've used that doesn't cause our son to erupt in an eczema outbreak. In our home, Downy delivers, so it has become a staple in the laundry room!

I used it about 5 times and I noticed a reduction in fuzz and pills on my cardigan sweaters. The smell is present but not over powerful, lightly fragranced. It helped soften and protect my clothes from colors bleeding and fading.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I generally use pods that have downy in them and have always LOVED the smell of the downy but I didn't feel like there was enough downy infused in the pod so I was not getting the real benefits. Adding this product to my laundry made a real difference. Not only an even fresher sent but the fabric felt SO soft! I will stay loyal to using this product from now on!

Some better than others but no matter what fabric softener I use I always come back to Downy. It has the best smell. The clothes come out with such a freshness that I just don't think another softener can compare.

PLEASE RETURN THE ORIGANAL SCENT BACK TO APRIL FRESH THE NEW SCENT SMELLS NOTHING LIKE THE OLD SCENT AND IS A VERY HARSH SCENT, IM A FAITHFUL CUSTOMER FOR MANY YEARS. WHEN I PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT I BUY OUT THE WHOLE SHELVE OF THEM . PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD SCENT!!!!!!

I love my Ultra Downy® April Fresh™ Liquid Fabric Conditioner! I use it for every load! It makes my clothes and bedding super soft. The smell is heavenly as well - it last long too. Note that I tested Downy® Fabric Softener for free, but my opinions presented here are my own.

This product, the Downy fabric softener, truly works great. I can even use it on my infant baby girls clothing and bedding with no skin irritation for her. It works very well also for all my clothing, house hold fabrics, begging, etc... It smells very good to top it all off as well!! All in all, great product!
