❤️Love theses buy bulks. Of them every Fall - several bags . I freeze thy keep excellent in Freezer then to the fridge - taste not. Compromised I eat handful everyday , in yogurt, sweet potatoes, trail mix, desserts This is so much beater than cracking the hulls only to get a small goody- which I had to do when little in my basement. They are very hard to find in retail grocery and definitely not at this size or price.

Not a fan. Maybe they weren’t so fresh… We have black walnut trees in our backyard. They are hard crack, but the few I did tasted much better. These are going to the squirrels.

I buy a bag or two every year… in Ky I would crack and eat as a small boy… my mother wanted me to crack enough to make candy but it was hard to save enough, after working so hard to get the meat ….. one article says to store in refrigerator… one doctor says tree nuts will cure stage 3 colon cancer… that article was on YouTube…

I didn't read the fine print when purchasing these nuts and was very disappointed that they were in small pieces, rather than whole as indicated on the bag as "FANCY LARGE". My husband and I could not tell the difference between them and the other shelled walnuts that we usually purchase, which are much cheaper. Lesson learned and will not buy again.

I received my order today and tasted one right out of the bag. It tasted like VERY STRONG Bleu cheese mold flavor. I threw it away. They are inedible. Also, the bag says "fancy large" but they are crushed and crumbly, with no pieces larger than a centimeter in diameter. There appeared to be no damage or defects to the bag.

I bought these walnuts in place of my usual Diamond brand. The store was all out of them. I didn't look close enough to see that they were black walnuts with a "bold flavor." If you research black walnuts, they're described as "strong, earthy, bitter, woody, and musty." That's exactly how I found them, and not in a good way. They are also described as "unique and not for everyone." I'm a bleu cheese lover, so I understand that you either like it or you don't. There's no in-between. I think it's the same for these walnuts. Personally, I feel like I'd get sick if I ate a lot of them, because I agree with the other reviewers...they taste kind of rancid and bitter. Sorry; in my opinion, "definitely not good."

Distinctive taste--which I like. Nut's are fresh--which is a positive.

What the description of the walnuts said was half nuts what I got was chopped up walnuts

They were old stock and were smelling stale!!
