So glad to be able to order the black walnuts on line. Just in time for holiday baking. They smell so good and the opened bag can be kept in the refrigerator or freezer.

Excellent black walnuts. The price is phenomenal if you have ever picked out black walnuts from their hull before yourself. It takes hours for a small handful.

Grew up on black walnuts, just ate black walnuts the other week, so bought these black walnuts, all excited for some black walnuts, smelled good, firmness okay, but these taste like motor oil. Will try to return. So disappointed.

I returned these. I purchased two bags, one for me and one for my son's family. The nuts tasted terrible, some chemical like taste or they were rancid, We couldn't tell.

Our family no longer has Black Walnut trees to harvest so I have been buying Hammons black walnuts from Sam's for many years. They get the blue ribbon from me. Believe me I know the process of harvesting black walnuts. Picking them up off the ground and putting them in a gunny sac (burlap). Standing at the shed using a hand corn sucker to get the coating off the nut. Storing them until Spring (usually May for us). Then cracking them and picking out the actual nut inside the shell. Then storing them. So this is why I buy Hammons and only Hammons. I've tried each brand out there, this is the only brand that taste like what I grew up harvesting with my family. Evey time I open the bag that wonderful black walnut smell takes me back home again. Thanks Hammons and Sam's!

What the description of the walnuts said was half nuts what I got was chopped up walnuts

i guess you are supposed to refrigerate them. they taste floral, good. just different but good.
