Tough skin on the casing. It's hard to chew. Last couple of units have had this.

Package consists of 3 full links. I recommend cutting each in half, making 7 ounce half links which are good for most applications, and wrapping each in cellophane wrap before freezing. Then, one can thaw as many are are needed for the application.

Love these in a skillet with onions and peppers.
