AC is cooling as expected, but it is noisier than I had hoped, unfortunately. Also the remote does not work. I am fine turning the AC on and off manually, but it would have been better, obviously if the remote would work also as expected.

This air conditioner has not been as good as our old Madea. Wondering if they made some changes or there something different. But it doesn’t seem to work as well.

This unit is very quiet even on high, it cools my 24x24 garage easily. Making it easy to work in the garage (78 degrees) in the South Carolina summer heat.

Bought this last May, it worked well the 4 1/2 months it was used. Put it back in the window a few days ago, plugged it in and it runs 5 minutes or less and shuts down, tripping the circuit breaker. It is a dedicated circuit, as well. Not sure how to contact customer service since it is only 1 year old.

Generally nice and quiet except this unit has separate fans in the back and believe that one is out of balance it causes the window frame & the unit to vibrate pretty severely, different frequencies of the residence depending on the fan speed, and it's pretty loud at times! Either they need to balance these fanes or have much tighter tolerances in the manufacturing as it seems to be about a 12 inch fan in the back on the outside. In addition, the specifications on the box are correct this unit (Model # MAW12V1YWT-S) needs a 25 inch window width to fit in! Had to install it with one side of the accordion panel inserted into the window on a diagonal angle and then sliding over the unit to be able to put the other side through and then back it out to place it properly in the window frame. Same issue with an older Midea 8K version, model # MAWO8SIYWT ! BOTH OF THESE MODELS NEED 25 INCH WINDOW WIDTH !

First I mistook one of the pictures for a u-shape window unit. once I realized my mistake and because of the great price I decided to keep this unit. It is a nice unit. it was an easy install. it is louder than a u-shape Midea I have in the bedroom, which it to be expected. still not as loud as some window units I have seen and heard. I like the different controls on this unit such as energy saver, sleep timer, wave setting, remote control. Really it's a nice unit and the price was great. The problem is me. It's not the unit I wanted, but for a mistake it turns out that the outcome could have been worse.

I used to buy these window units every year, at least a couple of them for my outbuildings. This year , they're completely different. I bought a brand new one and it only lasted for 2 months before all the coolant leaked out and even when it was working, it worked like crap. I hope they bring the old models back.

I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's worth it! It's really quiet compared several other widow units I've tried. It gets really cold...not cool, cold!! I use it in my outdoor enclosed 12 x 14 ft gazebo. Even in 80+ heat it keeps it COLD. I don't have to turn up the TV or stereo volume when its running like before.

Those of you wondering if it's a slideout chassis. Answer is no. For a 12000 btu and above model they should be a slide out bug it isn't. Online products specifications are very vague. Could not find anything on line even from midea. Bought it opened it at the parking lot and read the manual then returned it.

It cools my 2 bedroom space effortlessly.
