This media smart unit has been the best thing i have done this summer myvlast media saved me over 100 dollars a month the last 2 summers but they had a major recall on them so i am hoping these do the same.

We installed this unit in our kitchen and I cannot say enough good things about this air conditioner! It cools like nobody's business and is quiet as a mouse! At first, I had to double check to be sure it was still turned on because it is SO quiet! Never have I heard a window unit a/c this quiet inside. Now, outside is another story. Very loud and unit blows hot air out but it's got to go somewhere! Overall, a sound purchase. Would definitely recommend 10/10! Outstanding product for the price!

Best window air conditioner

We’ll see how this works long term. Overall, two of these plus a third smaller unit in a bedroom manage to keep our 1900sqft home comfortable. We live in an area that sees low 90s on the hottest of days. They cool our house but probably would not do the same in Texas/Arizona etc Super quiet. App controls are nice. Very energy efficient relative to an older 10k unit they replaced. Similar units from big hardware stores are nearly twice the price of Sam’s.

Unit works even better than expected! Replaced a fairly new 10,000 BTU portable ac unit that never quite cooled the room adequately. The Midea 12,000 BTU unit cools the room to the desired temp in a matter of minutes and has made a significant difference in our sleep quality during Florida summers. Bought a second unit for our daughters bedroom as well.

Very Happy with this unit wish I would have bought it first. I bought 2 others thar had died within moments of installation. It also took days to get my money refunded. So nope we went to Sam's loaded this up. Easy installation and it is quieter than the last one and puts out more cold air than the stronger unit. I holy recommend this.

Generally nice and quiet except this unit has separate fans in the back and believe that one is out of balance it causes the window frame & the unit to vibrate pretty severely, different frequencies of the residence depending on the fan speed, and it's pretty loud at times! Either they need to balance these fanes or have much tighter tolerances in the manufacturing as it seems to be about a 12 inch fan in the back on the outside. In addition, the specifications on the box are correct this unit (Model # MAW12V1YWT-S) needs a 25 inch window width to fit in! Had to install it with one side of the accordion panel inserted into the window on a diagonal angle and then sliding over the unit to be able to put the other side through and then back it out to place it properly in the window frame. Same issue with an older Midea 8K version, model # MAWO8SIYWT ! BOTH OF THESE MODELS NEED 25 INCH WINDOW WIDTH !

Time will tell, but at this point I am very happy with my purchase. The ac works well, comes back on after power outage (important because I am not in the city and the grid can be fickle out in the country), and although I don't have my first electric bill, seems like it is not using that much energy. I like that it distributes the cool well as it is in a large room and this very much matters. The install went very well, I am a bit frustrated by the tiny gaps on each side where the expanding slides attach, hesitate to add a sealing tape, but think that I will end up doing so.

Garbage I had a Kenmore 12,000BTU I garbage picked ~8 years ago and could keep my space cool ~68° when it was 90° ouside.This on wont go lower then 75° when it's 75°outside. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

We were very thoughtful in our choice, made sure ewe had the right BTUs for the room size, etc. Unfortunately, once it was installed and turned on, the results are very disappointing. It doesn't cool the room worth a darn. We have to put a fan on with the air conditioner to stay cool.
