meat was flavorful but tough even hard to slice. Anticipated tender feast very disappointed. covering with butter prevented an au jus and for me too spicy followed direction but it was a fail

It would probably have been better if the cooking instructions were correct. I followed it them to a T and it came out raw. When I cut into it blood flowed all over the cutting board. I forced myself to take 3 bites and threw the $120.00 piece of meat in the trash. If I ever decide to do it again I will try about 45 minutes instead of the 25 on the instructions. The side dishes were absolutely awesome, best mashed potato's I have ever had.

Somewhat disappointed with this purchase. I followed the roasting instructions to the letter and the roast came out raw. Much like the picture one of the other reviewers posted. I cut enough slices for dinner and finished cooking them on the stove. The remaining roast I put back in the oven and continued roasting until done. I used the spiced butter as directed and it was very good. The meat was also quite good once it was cooked however, there was a band of grizzle running through the entire piece - quite disappointing. The sides were not big enough to feed the same number of folks as the roast. The plastic cover on the potatoes was ripped, however, it did not seem to affect the potatoes. The two sides were just okay.

Instructions included with the prime rib were useful even though I like my meat medium well. The meat was juicy and tender . Everyone enjoyed the sides which were excellent and they weren't salty. I have decided I will order again for Christmas dinner.

watch out for this! if you like a lot fat you will like this. I was disappointed.

Roast was delicious, very rich. My family enjoyed.

order said 10 pounds.but the prime rib only comes as 5 pounds

I have purchased this twice and I am going to order it again!! We love it

Thought it was a ten pound prime rib with two side not a 5 pound prime rib with two two and half pound sides

First the title is misleading, it says 10 lbs when the meat is only 5 lbs. I cooked it according to the instructions contrary to what others around me recommended and it came out to a perfect medium, 133 degrees. I didn't use the season packet included and it didn't need it. There was more fat in the meat than I was used to and some really tough meat on the bottom. I did not care for the sides, the mashed potatoes would have been fine with gravy. I wont purchase this next year
