great deal on wd hd lowest price on the web. great for storage - white cvolor ok but easy to pick out from tradfitional black hard drives

If you are running IOS MAC software you need to install the software and give the unit all permissions for it to be recognized by IOS. I’ve run other SSHD brands that automatically join with no problems. Just a heads up..

Besides not including the “hyper speed usb-c to usb 2.0” adapter, no issues so far actually . Huge packaging not sure why but it seems like it’s still a “Newer” model . Honestly if I had the choice I’d go with the “plus” wd 5TB but this one is compatible with the hyper speed adapter that’s IF you already have one . The color matches my ps5 I got for my birthday so really it’s nice I compare it side by side visually to the “plus” wd 5TB model %26 seems the same . I’d have to test the speeds but it’s plug and play basically . It reads on my ps5 so it’s good enough for me . Anyways only issue I had it did not state that it didn’t have that hyper speed adapter and I’m guessing either they just have different names but it’s still good enough besides not describing fully the product I got this because the “plus” model was out of stock everywhere. I’m happy for the price I got it for . Sorry I don’t have more pics atm cos I’m replacing my other external and using this on my ps5. Matches the color and looks cooler and besides that I’d get this if I coudlnt get the “plus” model both 5 TB. I’m a die hard gamer so I’m set

My computer was having problems because the hard drive was too full. I needed a drive to archive old files that I wanted to keep, but had to get them off my primary drive. This drive from Sam's has good storage capacity for the price. I already had another older model of the Western Digital My Passport that my iMac uses to create Time Machine backups. It has never let me down, so this was an easy choice for me. I was pleased to find this drive at Sam's!

The operation of this external hard drive is generally good. However, it is not downward compatible with older USB connections even though it was inferred otherwise. Also, I was surprised that is is an old school spinning drive and not a solid state drive.

For the prize, this is a great deal on a 5 TB Drive. Everyone knows they need to make backups, but is usually the last thing that we get around to. This backup drive will hold many of your backups and is small enough to be stored in a glove box. Likewise, it does not need external power since it gets its power from the USB port. I would definitely buy this drive again if the price was right.

Nice compact size for 5TB unit. Have cleared 2 internal hard drives and 12 external storage devices without a hitch. I now have all my pictures, music and movies from the past 20 years in one location. Very happy with purchase.
