Unless a mess is really set into our rug or my dog has shed a ton, I can clean-up with this machine solely. My favorite feature is that is feels light and is easy to maneuver. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have Christmas garland that leaves a very fine shimmery type of glitter on our hardwood floor when I take down decorations for the season. It's very hard to remove because it's almost like dust it's so fine. In the past I've had to clean the floor by hand to remove it, using multiple rags. The CrossWave removed all of it in one pass! I waited for a sunny day to be sure it was gone and its gone!

The kitchen floors are not sealed correctly so they hold onto a lot of dirty and grime. This vacuum gets up all the dirt. It makes me feel better when having our 1yr old walking all over I'm not worried about the icky floors. It's easy to use and easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had this product years ago! The CrossWave HydroSteam is all I need now. Eliminating the broom, mop, bucket and other vacuums I own (2) and such a space saver. It has 3 modes Hard Floor, SteamWash and Area Rug mode. It also has a self cleaning button. All the parts click into the vacuum easily. Super easy to run on the hard floors and my favorite part is: it dries the floor!!! Such a bonus for me because my kids and dogs have no patience and they love to just walk on the wet floors, leaving their footprints and paw prints. And if you have guests telling you they're coming last minute, boom! Clean and dry in just minutes. I absolutely love that part! The cleaning of the product is my next favorite part. (Yes! You clean the vacuum as well). Once you clean the parts you assemble it back (again, easy). You add water and press the cleaning button. Take the parts again and rinse it all and let it dry. It will take at least 24 hours to dry so some people might find it inconvenient. I personally don't have a problem with it. I love that my vacuum is clean after it has been used. As for the quality of the cleaning, I have floors (wood, laminate and tile) around my house. I was very impressed with the results of the CrossWave HydroSteam especially using the SteamWash mode. I have two little kids and two dogs and there's mess on my floors every single day. The floors looked cleaned and fresh. It got rid of the stickiness on my tile in the kitchen. Until now I had to clean the sticky areas with few products. You can also sanitize the hard floors (not the area rug) and that's such a great addition especially with kids and dogs. Overall, this is a great product that I enjoy using. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wet and dry vacuum! Now if you don't mind I've got some cleaning to do ;)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this primarily for my luxury vinyl flooring and it's the cleanest my floors ever are; cleaner than when I mop and cleaner than when my housekeeper does my floors! The steam clean is fantastic and after they dry there is no residue or sticky feeling! Just clean floors!! The suction is really fabulous and I never have to sweep before hand. This has cut my floor cleaning down to a third of the time. I did use it on my area rugs for the first time today. Definitely helps to freshen but NOT a carpet cleaner by any means; so follow the directions and don't buy it for that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have uneven tiled floors, and a very shedy dog. :) I used to have to sweep the floor daily, and mop, because of our allergies!! Not anymore!! This machine was so easy to set up, and worked wonderful on my tiled floor and my stairs!! It is very lightweight, and brushes are easy to clean. I think the water tank is a little small, but that's ok for me. I haven't tried it on carpet yet... but so far.. it has cleaned my tile floors with no problems!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried so many wet/dry vacuums and I was so glad to find the CrossWave HydroSteam! It was so easy to assemble that I went from unpacking to cleaning in no time at all. I also loved how light-weight is so I can carry it upstairs and downstairs without much effort. I tried it out for fun as soon as I got it and thought my floors were already pretty clean. They apparently weren't based on how much grime and dog hair the CrossWave picked up! Ewww! I put in the sanitizing wash for good measure and gave the hardwood floors another once over! I don't think I'll ever feel they're clean enough until they're CrossWave clean now. There was hardly any gross water after the sanitizing wash, which gives me confidence in the ability to get it clean the first time. And I threw out my old wet-dry right away because it obviously wasn't doing the job. With three kids and 2 dogs I was able to put the rug cleaner to the test pretty quickly with a dog pee spot and was so glad I could just grab the vacuum, put in the liquid setting for a small job and clean up the mess. So easy and quick for this super busy mom. I also love how easy it is to disassemble and store. The drying rack is a great feature and tucks away nicely in my laundry room. All the parts washed out quick and I felt like I wasn't at risk for having dog hair clogging up the vacuum. I've also had a problem in the past with carpet cleaning machines putting out too much water and making the rug curl so I was nervous to try it on the area rugs, but this didn't happen. It was perfect. The steam setting was great for my bathrooms! I tried that out soon after and could visibly see the steam, but it didn't feel like it was saturating everything. I love that I can just run the vacuum back over the space without the solution release to dry the floors. With small kids having a mostly dried floor is essential. Nobody actually stays off them! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With a one year old learning how to feed herself, I didn't want to have to get down and scrub the floors everyday. And a simple sweep was just not cutting it. I was at a loss, that is until I had the opportunity to test out the CrossWave HydroStream from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This vacuum was exactly what I was looking for. First, I appreciated its versatility. I don't want to have to store three products when one will do. And this machine does just that. Its various settings allow me to go from the hardwood floor, to the tile, to the area rugs all in one shot. Now, for the set up. Because of the type of machine this is and the added features from a traditional vacuum, it did take more set up then simply taking it out of the box and plugging it in. But not much more. The instructions were thorough and clear. I was able to follow along and start steaming in about 20 minutes. The self cleaning cycle was equally simple to navigate and execute. Which for a busy mom, is a must. I don't have time to sit down and take everything apart, clean the parts, and the assemble it again. Now for the results, I was pleasantly surprised and the level of clean this machine was able to achieve even with the first pass over the surfaces. My floors have never been so clean! Now, to be sure, if there is a bit of truly stuck on food, you will still probably have to get on your hands and knees to clean, but this machine takes care of the vast majority of your everyday messes. And I will always chose to spot clean one or two spots rather than the whole floor, so this wasn't a deal breaker for me. The only slight downside to this machine is the noise when it was running. It was just a little too loud to run during nap time. Overall, I appreciate the ease and multi-functionality of this machine and will continue to use it to keep my floors as clean as they can be with a one year old learning to feed herself!

I have owned other crosswaves in the past, but this one takes the cake. The ability to vacuum and wash the floor simultaneously is an absolute game changer. With a house of 5 dogs and two small children, it is a constant battle to keep our floors clean. In the past it was a task to vacuum the floor then pull out a mop bucket and mop, now I can do it all in one step. We have a large mastiff that drools as she is waiting for us to fill her dog bowl and the drool tends to cake onto the floor infront of the bowl, the cross wave had no problem breaking it down and cleaning it away. My wife and I especially like the hydro steam ability for sanitizing the floor as we have a baby who's beginning to crawl. My favorite thing about the crosswave hydro steam is the self clean mode. In the past it was such a pain to break down and clean other products, this eliminates some of that and makes it a faster process to get back to what ever you need to do next. I highly recommend this if you have animals and or children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to BzzAgent, I got to try the BISSELL Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuum for free! At first, I was skeptical about the power of this little vacuum. The svelte footprint, single roller, and modestly sized water tanks pointed to small spill cleanup at best. With just one use, though, it was instantly clear that this little vacuum has what it takes to keep up with our busy household. We have two teenagers, three dogs, and my husband is an auto tech with a love for souping up his own cars. Beyond that, we have an outdated home with tired floors always in need of cleaning. My 13-year-old son and I tried out this vacuum together. Setting up the unit was super simple. We just had to click the handle in place and then fill the clean water tank up. Then, pour the pet cleaner until the level reached the second line and screw the cap on. The clean water tank clicks back into place quite easily and without dripping all over. There are three settings on the vacuum, depending on whether you want to clean rugs, hard floors, or use the steam feature. We started with the hard floor setting, and it worked great. Next, we tried the steam feature. The instructions say to wait 30 seconds for the steam to start. We turned the unit on, switched it to steam, and waited to no avail. You actually have to squeeze the trigger and start cleaning, and then the unit will release steam in 30 seconds. Within just a few minutes, we were surprised that the steam vac could actually get the embedded dirt out of the grooves. Nothing else does that! The self-clean cycle was easy to do as well, although final cleanup of the unit took more time than I liked. We had to take the roller out of the vacuum to dry, empty and rinse out the dirty water tank, remove and clean the filter, and dump out the clean water tank. Overall, I would say that the BISSELL Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuum is a great addition to our household and will get used often, especially after the dogs track mud through the house.
