[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a house with multiple German Shepherds, our first crosswave pet became a must have for cleaning. From the accidental puppy "tinkles", to the mud and dirt tracked in on a rainy day, the ease of cleaning with these machines is phenomenal. That machine was purchased 2 years ago and still used almost daily for cleaning. About 6 months later, we were shopping at Ollie's and they had refurbished ones at a decent price, so we opted to purchase a 2nd. (A regular crosswave(not 'pet' model). So now we had one upstairs for cleaning and one on the main floor for cleaning. After a year and a half that refurbished one stopped dispensing solution, so rather than troubleshoot and trying to figure out why (at least for now). I decided to purchase another. This time, the crosswave hydro steam. The steam feature is really nice for getting the dried on paw prints up without spending 6 hours (exaggerating) going over the same spot. Don't get me wrong, even our standard one the died was able to do this but usually had to make 2-3 passes, the steam just makes it that much quicker. The self clean mode is a nice new feature and should another crosswave decide to depart to that vacuum place in the sky, I will buy another. All my machines are used very hard daily and almost continuously. And haven't given me a reason not to love them. I can admit I did buy another brand at one point (won't mention names, but there is a song about a "baby" one) and I can say it in no-way is even a close comparison to the Bissel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bissel Crosswave Hydrosteam wet and dry vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I'm a mom of 2 toddlers and 5 cats, living in an all-tile house. Cleaning the floors is a time consuming constant task between sweeping or dry vacuuming first and then wet mopping. Stuck on messes are always around with the little kids. I was absolutely thrilled to receive this product, which incorporates both dry and wet vacuuming all in one piece of technology- saving me time in being able to tackle every kind of mess in one fell swoop. I truly love the Crosswave Hydrosteam as it is quite efficient. I love that it has LED lights to help see the debris and pet hair as you go. I think the only downside is that it is loud just like a regular vacuum, however, it is so convenient to be able to dry vacuum and just push a button as you're going to create steam and tackle a spill of any kind. I found that the reservoir for the cleaning solution is large enough to get through all the main living areas without having to refill, even if you use the steam function the majority of the time. Using the steam function on spills is so easy - just push the steam button as you go over with the brush and it lifts everything in a few swipes. It also does not leave the floor too wet, it dries off pretty quickly, and no streaks left behind. I love how easy it is to clean the dirty water tank - easy to pop it out, rinse it out, and put it back together in no time. The self clean function has to be my favorite part. After steam mopping a lot of stuck on messes, it's fantastic to be able to set it on its base and have it clean the brush immediately so it's ready for the next use right away without having to change it or take it out. The self-clean cycle just needs clean water and it's very quick. The vacuum head is very flexible to help going around corners and maneuvering easily. I'm grateful to have received this vacuum. It is a fantastic multifunctional product!

Neither machine produced steam after going through every troubleshooting measure that bissell offers. I ran both machines for over 10 minutes with the spray/steam trigger depressed and got nothing. Just cold, wet, roller and a puddle of water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this wet dry vac on our area rugs. They are all in high traffic areas and this machine worked great on the stains and dirt ground into them. It was light weight and easy to use once you figured it out,(the instructions could definitely be more detailed). I love that it's so light weight, I don't like big, bulky, and heavy vacuum cleaners and this was a perfect size and weight for me. The self cleaning feature is nice too, it's very easy to do and makes cleaning up and putting it away easy. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a multi surface wet dry vac.

Whether I need to clean up spills, spot clean up after my pet, or even do a full-blown steam sanitation, the Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam is the perfect cleaner for the job. This all-in-one multi-surface cleaner is the perfect addition to any household. It's simple to put together out of the box. The directions are easy to read. There are even pictures to follow along with. Once it was put together, I just needed to add water and solution to the removable water tank. The water tank is even marked with lines showing me how much of each to put in. This cleaner has three modes. It has a vacuum, wash, and steam mode. I like that it's a multi-surface cleaner as well. It can be used to clean sealed wood floors, laminate, tile, and even area rugs. Once I press the power button, I can choose one of the three illuminated choices; steam wash, hard floor, or area rug. There is even a When I recline the machine, the roller begins to spin. Then, I decide if I want to use the solution and water by holding the button, or releasing it to vacuum up debris and water. This machine works really well. It vacuumed up debris like pet hair, grass, and crumbs, while washing my floor. It's easy to push back and forth and the head swivels. Cleaning out this machine was simple. I like that the dirty water tank contains a strainer stem that keeps debris away from the water, and makes cleaning it out effortless. When I am finished cleaning, there is even a clean out cycle that will help clean all of the components. The dirty water tank comes apart in pieces and makes it easy for me to reach into and clean it thoroughly. My floors look and feel cleaner. Overall, I really enjoyed using the Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam and highly recommend it for your cleaning needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this wet and dry vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am so lucky that I did! I have a 2400+ sf home with wall-to-wall tile flooring. Additionally, I have my own little zoo with 3 kids, 3 dogs and 7 cats. Needless to say, cleaning the floors is an everyday - sometimes multiple times a day - task! The CrossWave was very easy to assemble and learn to use. I predominantly used the SteamWash mode because of our tile floors. I quickly swept the floors prior to use but didn't spend any extra time spot-cleaning or scrubbing any of the particularly dirty areas. The CrossWave did a wonderful job cleaning not only the tile but also the grout lines. I did have to use a plastic scraper to get off a few inconveniently placed stickers, but everything else came out beautifully. I tested the CrossWave on muddy footprints/pawprints, spilled beverages, pet accidents and even dried blood from when my son fell and accidentally cut himself. You may need to go over a spot a couple of times for really difficult spots to come clean, but it is so much easier than the mop I was using before. I especially love the self-cleaning mode for when I'm done with the floors. I don't have to put much extra effort into cleaning the CrossWave in order to feel confident that it's clean and ready for the next cleaning emergency. The power cord is also super long so you don't have to keep changing outlets when you move from one area to the next. There were only a couple of downsides that I noticed with the CrossWave. First, the water reservoirs are on the smaller side, which makes it lightweight and easy to use but does require frequent refilling/dumping. Secondly, I also was unable to get the light to turn off when not in use unless I unplug the machine. Overall, I love this machine. If it can handle my crazy family so easily, it is a must-have for less messy households!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box this unit was easy to set up. I was excited to try this because it sounded like a multipurpose machine that could be used on hard surface flooring as well as area rugs. I opted to try it on my area rugs first before I got the roller brush dirty. According to the manual, there are a variety of brush heads you can purchase and swap out. The multi-surface brush came installed. The best way to describe it is like a soft, microfiber covered roller that also has nylon bristles scattered inside to gently scrub more stuck on messes. This is a corded unit and a little bit heavy. But I do really like that it swivels and I can get it under the first 4-5" of my couch. First I tried to vacuum my area rugs, It didn't really like my long pile rugs, but did OK on my shorter pile rug. I tried to use the rug function with the cleaning solution on the short pile rug but it kept turning itself off. So, I have concluded that this is better served for use on hard surface floors and not as a rug refresh. It did a nice job of vacuuming up all the loose dirt and fuzzies from the kitchen, living room and bathroom floors. I then moved on to the wet/dry clean function. It did a good job of mopping and drying the dirt on my floors, but I had a few areas with harder stuff stuck to the floor and even with the steam function, the all purpose mophead didn't remove the goo. I had to use my fingernail to get it up. It did a good job of drying the area after wetting it. Removing the dirty tank is easy but don't forget to lift out the lint catcher before dumping the water. At the end of cleaning, empty the waste container, place it on the tray with some of the included cleaning solution and have it run a clean cycle. This is much faster and easier than lugging out the mop and bucket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bissell kindly gave me this vaccuum for free so that I could review it. I was excited to use this vacuum the second I opened the box. The first thing I noticed was that the handle moves in all directions. It is extremely lightweight and has a light on the front. It removed a stain that every other product couldn't. Our house is mostly tile with a few area rugs and being able to go from one to the other made It super easy to use and the clean up was a breeze. Even my teenagers were excited to use it.

Felt like I was spreading dirty water so, I invested in the Cross Wave Hydro Steam. OMG, what a difference. I clean in half the time, and the HydroSteam is amazing
