[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A couple years back we purchased a Bissel Crosswave and absolutely loved it!! You can't go wrong. But recently I got the new Crosswave Hydrosteam and it's a game changer!!! The added steam function cleans so much deeper and helps loosen dirt trapped between the slats of older wood floors. The first time I used it on our wood floors I went over it 3 times and the water was near black EACH time. I was shocked. We keep a clean house but we also have 3 dogs and teenage boys in and out all the time. I highly recommend you upgrade to the Hydrosteam if you are able to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried so many wet/dry vacuums and I was so glad to find the CrossWave HydroSteam! It was so easy to assemble that I went from unpacking to cleaning in no time at all. I also loved how light-weight is so I can carry it upstairs and downstairs without much effort. I tried it out for fun as soon as I got it and thought my floors were already pretty clean. They apparently weren't based on how much grime and dog hair the CrossWave picked up! Ewww! I put in the sanitizing wash for good measure and gave the hardwood floors another once over! I don't think I'll ever feel they're clean enough until they're CrossWave clean now. There was hardly any gross water after the sanitizing wash, which gives me confidence in the ability to get it clean the first time. And I threw out my old wet-dry right away because it obviously wasn't doing the job. With three kids and 2 dogs I was able to put the rug cleaner to the test pretty quickly with a dog pee spot and was so glad I could just grab the vacuum, put in the liquid setting for a small job and clean up the mess. So easy and quick for this super busy mom. I also love how easy it is to disassemble and store. The drying rack is a great feature and tucks away nicely in my laundry room. All the parts washed out quick and I felt like I wasn't at risk for having dog hair clogging up the vacuum. I've also had a problem in the past with carpet cleaning machines putting out too much water and making the rug curl so I was nervous to try it on the area rugs, but this didn't happen. It was perfect. The steam setting was great for my bathrooms! I tried that out soon after and could visibly see the steam, but it didn't feel like it was saturating everything. I love that I can just run the vacuum back over the space without the solution release to dry the floors. With small kids having a mostly dried floor is essential. Nobody actually stays off them! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As first / initial time using this product (and compared to sweeping / mopping) the same areas, I'd have to say that I'm fairly impressed. I believe that I would delay or maybe avoid the prior for the time and hassle involved in all aspects of the process, using this machine made everything a lot more timely and efficient. Where the cord is 25' some may say it is short, I think it's about average or fair - not to have too / long or too short. I asked a friend about his (same or similar model?) and said he didn't like that it left streaks - I really don't care for being able to get the job done, and for 1/3rd to 1/4 of the time and hassle. Internal cleaning feature seems good / nice touch. I'd like to see how long it lasts and how it does over time. For now it's a Thumbs up & higher rating for me!

It pulled more pet hair out of my carpets then I knew was there. I love the way it breaks down for easy cleaning and storage! The cleaner and sanitizer smells amazing. This vacuum is a one stop shop! No need to sweep first just go! 10/10 think everyone needs one!

I love that it is multi- surface so I am able to use it on my hard wood floors, my tile floors, and my carpets. It very convenient being a wet/dry vacuum by getting two jobs done at once. It's super easy to understand what mode your using. Having the steam makes a hard to get sticky mess easier than ever. It has a long cord so I don't have to keep stopping to change outlets. Having two dogs this is so helpful with pet hair and odors. The best part is this vacuum cleans itself. I would highly recommend this product. By providing honest feedback, I hope to help other consumers decide whether to purchase something or not. I'm the type that is always trying to find something that will help shorten the amount of time I spend cleaning. I have a 3000 square foot home, and all the flooring is hard surface, even my stairs. Over the years, I have owned most products from most of the brands available for purchase. I currently own three different steam from well known brands. I also own another brand floor cleaner from last year. After dragging around the mop to clean my house, it became a chore that took forever. I started to dread the day I would mop and clean the floors in each room. I have a large family with five children, two dogs, a cat, a bird, and guinea pigs. I do cleaning and ensure the mess is off the floor many times during the day. After using the regular mop over and over, the floor still had caked-on dirt that I would have to hand scrub. I thought the previous floor cleaner I purchased last year was the solution; it helped cut my cleaning time down. The Bissell cleaner arrived, and I had no expectations before using it. The day prior to using the Bissell, I had cleaned all the rooms with the other floor cleaning machine. Upon using the Bissell and seeing how much dirt it cleaned off the floor, it was a total shock. It's lightweight, swivels, turns easily, and is easy to move from room to room; it also comes with a long cord, which is useful. To start with, it is a vacuum, floor cleaner, and steam mop. I found the vacuum function to be useful, as it saved me time by eliminating the need to vacuum before mopping or cleaning the floor. It does have a difficult time squeezing into tight spaces. After using turn on self-cleaning mode, 2 minutes later it's cleaned out it's self. Best on hard surface flooring, Okay on lg. area rugs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Puppies ate my old vacuum. I have cement floors so I spent quite a while just sweeping with a broom. I needed a new vacuum, but there were puppy messes - missed the pads, the pads leaked, etc. I would mop up the messes but was spreading hair around (under coat dogs so it's everywhere!) I needed something that would suck up wet and dry messes. For curiosity sake, I used my Bissell carpet cleaner on the bare floor to clean up some of the mess. It worked decently well, so I got to thinking that surely Bissell had thought of my particular issue and I was correct! I had been looking at this for a couple of months, saving up and finally got it!! I absolutely *love* it! it is very lightweight and does a great job getting up the nasties and also has a sanitizing steam function! It has a few limitations which is why I bought a Bissell ReadyClean cordless a week ago to help get into the spaces around the crates. I am disabled and rely on a seated rollator walker to maneuver around my house. This makes it a bit cumbersome to get out for a quick dry vac because I am fighting with the cord (which is another reason for the stick vac mentioned above). I do wish that I had saved up for the cordless model. That is my only regret!

This combination of vacuum mop is a godsend. I tried it for the first time yesterday on a super muddy semi outdoor kitchen and it picked up 98% of everything there. I was so pleased and it halved my effort. I gave away all five bottles of cleaning products to someone who loves Bissell cleaning products, because I have dogs and other animals so I have to use things which are actually animal friendly and not toxic to their noses which are right on the floors. It does seem incongruent that while Bissell is pet friendly their toxic chemicals are not.

My overall impression of the Crosswave hydro steam was that it's a time saver and a back saver! I hate sweeping and I hate mopping with a passion, so I've always wanted one of these! It made clean up not such a drag because you get to do both in one go! Sure you gotta clean the dirty water tank and it does get pretty gross lol but it's really not that bad. Beats hurting my back with mopping! I think this vac did a great job tackling stuck on messes with the spray as it made it easier for the vac to suck it up. And it has pretty good suction! Steam wash mode was very nice touch too because I have a crawling baby and it gave me a piece of mind that it sanitizes my floors. My favorite thing about this vac is that it's All in one of course! The vac itself is also very pretty, I just wish it was cordless!!! I think it would be so much easier to reach for it for every single mess if it was cordless.
