I have another brand that is self propelling, and I do prefer that feature. The CrossWave cleaned my hardwood floors really, really well and I love the self cleaning feature. I do like the dirty water tank better than my other model. All in all, I liked this awry Dry Vac, and would recommend.

It was my first time using a vacuum to "mop" the floors, so I found that super convenient to be able to clean up faster! The machine is a bit heavy so that is why I would give 4-stars. We have tile, hardwood and area rugs so I tried all the modes and areas of the house. The instructions are very simple and straightforward. At first I was nervous about using this because I thought messing with water and solutions would be a hassle, but it really wasn't a big deal. My house smells so clean and you can walk around barefoot without getting your feet dirty after cleaning the floors with the Crosswave. The fact that it vacuums up the water is great because hardwood floors are sensitive. I would like to see the dirty water reservoir bigger so you don't have to empty so often when doing whole house cleaning. For everyday messes or one area at a time it's great. We have toddlers and have to constantly clean up messes on our floors. The self cleaning mode is awesome and it comes with the tray to sit the vacuum on and store the roller to dry.

I am a mom of a very busy household. Between the kids and dogs, my life is constantly on-the-go, therefore I always welcome different ways to make cleaning my house easier. In my opinion, the Bissell CrossWave HydroSteam Plus Muti-Surface Wet/Dry Vacuum is an absolute must have!! I instantly fell in love with the fact that this vacuum eliminates sweeping and mopping, not to mention the fact that it can also steam clean your floors for those "deep cleaning" days. It's lightweight, easy to use and im able to take this vacuum and clean my floors in half the time now! With the vacuum having multi-surface capabilities im able to go from hardwood floors to tile, laminate and even area rugs. The process is pretty straightforward, just fill the reservoir with water and the included floor cleaner, turn the vacuum on and choose the appropriate cleaning mode, there is hard floor mode, steamwash mode, and area rug mode. Each cleaning mode is designed for specific tasks, for example, hard floor mode is for the up-keep in between your deep cleaning days. Another amazing feature is that this vacuum also dries your floors! Everything about the Bissell CrossWave HydroSteam Vacuum makes cleaning your floors easier, therefore freeing up much needed time. I love its simplicity and versatility. I love that it gets the job done quickly. I love that it can be used for deep-cleaning my floors or just to clean up a spill. The effectiveness of this vacuum let's me rest assured that my floors are clean and it will now be a constant in my cleaning routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got it and it was super easy to setup and use. I hate sweeping then mopping. It never fails as soon as I'm done I see all the pet hair left behind. I have a small 450 sqft apt. Lots of dust and lots of dog hair. Not a lot of major spills. However, it got the tacky grease spill infront of my stove up on the first pass. Didn't need to soak and rinse. I was done with all my floors in 2 passes. Took me 25 minutes to get all my floor area (moved the furniture to get the harder to reach areas). No drying time. Didn't make my dog crazy cause of the noise....BONUS!!

I had been looking for a multi surface floor cleaner, but many of the other models/brands that I had seen were much more clunky. I love that this has a smaller footprint when it comes to storage, and it's light enough to use throughout our multi level home, without struggling to take it up and down the stairs. I previously had a steam mop, which I loved, but this is great when you want a deep clean on the hard floors, and it also does a great job on our area rugs. We do not have carpet in our house, so I love that it is versatile enough to use on both our hard surfaces and our rugs to maintain cleanliness throughout our home. The different options for cleaning solutions was also a plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the original cross wave and my only complaint was that you had to add hot water to the clean tank to get the hot water clean feeling, but if you didn't use it all then you got cold the next time. The only reason for another cross wave purchase was the steam feature of this one. I was hoping that the fact that this one had steam would make me love it even more than my other....who doesn't love steam to clean?!? Unfortunately that is not that case and I'm actually sad that I purchased another one when it really wasn't needed and the steam part about it was such a let down. The hydro steam cross wave did seem to have a little more suction of the excess water on the backward sweep but that could of been because it was new. It did sadly use an entire tank to clean just my kitchen area, the main reason being that holding the water button down continuously is the only way to get the steam feature. The dirty tank did not hold the entire tank of the clean water and I had to dump the dirty water tank three times on that one clean water tank, every time I tipped it back to clean it set off the float device and would stop suctioning it was really frustrating. This was a 2 on the star rating category for me! It also didn't feel like the steam feature really cleaned any better than my original cross wave by adding hot water to the tank. I also really disliked the bulky front of the hydro steam cross wave, it made it very difficult to clean to the edge of your floor and under cabinets, my original had a skinny front and did a much better job getting to the edge. This was a 3 on the star rating for me. I do like the darker color scheme as it makes it look high end and in the long run will appear less dirty but doesn't change anything on how the product runs or performs. I still love that the cross wave does do your vacuuming and mopping in one, the hydro steam or any cross wave product would still be a great purchase if you have hard floor surfaces though out your home.

It has been a life saver when it comes to cleaning my tile bathroom floors! The steam cleaning function gets my grout much cleaner than the traditional spray mop I was previously using and the sanitizing solution is just a bonus to help my floors look sparkling new. It also works great to clean my laminate floors. It glides easily across the floor and is much less work than mopping with a traditional mop. I never would have thought that I could vacuum and mop at the same time until I tried this product! I was skeptical at first, because my traditional cleaning routine always begins with me vacuuming the floor first to make sure all the dust are eliminated before I mopped. I gave this product a try in my kitchen area where it is normally the dirtiest, I followed the instructions and I am surprisingly impressed with the results. My floor is dust-free and dirt-free at the same time, they look sparkling clean and smells fresh afterwards. I am very happy that this product works just like it is described, it is easy to assemble and dispose of the dirty water, and it is also easy to clean the roller for future use. I would definitely recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for cutting their cleaning time around the house, as for me, I know I can do my weekly cleaning at shorter time now. Awesome!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembling the Hydrosteam was so quick and easy, it took only a few minutes before it was ready to use! I used the original crosswave in the past, but this is such an incredible upgrade. I love that I can use it wet or dry, the vacuum suction is extremely powerful! The self cleaning is really helpful as well. It hugs the wall pretty closely. The added steam feature is perfect for my tile floors. I have uneven slate tile with a lot of grooves and the Hydrosteam outperforms other vacuum mops I've used. The cons, it is pretty heavy and loud. Also I wish the brush had harder bristles to really scrub the floor more and it does use a lot of bissell solution. I received the HydroSteam as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that the Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam is an all in one, so no having to switch machines for vacuuming and steaming, hard surfaces or carpet. Everything you need to get started comes in the box. Assembly was easy and straightforward, the provided manual was clear and easy to understand. I used it on multiple surfaces, slate tile, hardwood, linoleum, ceramic tile and an area rug, and it handled them quickly and easily. The cord is long enough to do a large area without having to change plugs but can be wrapped up to be out of the way. We have 2 cats and a dog, I vacuum regularly but was shocked at how much hair the Bissell was able to pull out of my area rug. It had no issues going from a hard surface to a rug, or going from regular cleaning to steamwash mode. It heats up and produces steam in about 15-20 seconds. It doesn't overly saturate an area which means that it dries quickly and I didn't have to worry about damaging the hardwood flooring. It The tanks are easy to fill and empty. The filter and the dirty tank strainer do a great job of separating hair/debris from liquid. No clogging at all. My least favorite part has always been cleaning machines after use but the Crosswave Hydrosteam has a self cleaning feature that makes cleaning it a breeze, run the cycle than empty & rinse the dirty tank and filter, pop out the brush, towel dry the brush compartment then put it on its stand to air dry. I will never truly enjoy cleaning but the Crosswave Hydrosteam has definitely made it easier. The only two downsides are that it's loud and it's somewhat heavy, but because it rolls and glides so easily it wasn't really an issue. It gave me peace of mind that my floors and rug were clean and sanitized, it's easy to use and saves me time and effort by doing it all, everything from a light clean to a deep clean, even sticky kitchen spills and pet hair/odor are easily taken care of. **"I received this for free from Stellar Reviews in exchange for my honest review"
