[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a working mom of two kids I don't have a ton of time to clean so I was excited to get a chance to try out the Crosswave Hydostream combination vacuum and mop from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I put the mop through its paces both in the kitchen and in my daughter's play area. Pros: The suction and roller were good enough to pull up the play sand and fine glitter around my daughter's play table. Our wood floors have pretty deep grooves that trap these fine particles so the fact that they got picked up by this vacuum mop is impressive. I also liked being able to clean the small indoor/outdoor rug in our entryway with the wet vac. The vacuum pulled up most of the water and the thin rug dried quickly. Since the vacuum isn't battery powered there's no worry about running out of charge before the job is done. Cons: The vacuum is really loud, which would make it tough to use if others are in the house doing work or if a baby was napping. Also the steam function wasn't great at cleaning the tiles and grout around the stove, which get more grimy. I wasn't able to get the mop to unstick some paint or play dough that had gotten onto the wood floors either. I went over the affected areas in hardwood floor and steam modes to no avail. The play dough got soft enough to scrape off with my hands, but the roller wouldn't pick it up. I also tried this mop on a thicker pile area rug, but I wouldn't recommend it as it got really wet and didn't clean well. Finally there is a bit of a learning curve to using the mop. The steam function uses the water/soap solution really fast, so you have to be strategic about using it. Also there's no indicator when the dirty water tank is full, but you will all of a sudden loose suction. You also need to remove the floating filter from the dirty tank first or the filter will fall out making a mess. The instructions for the self cleaning mode are also confusing and it took a couple of tries to figure that out as well, but it does work okay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our house is mostly hardwood with area rugs, and for the wood this was an excellent replacement for regular moping. I found the vacuum got up more dirt, and was very easy to use after a first try. The cleaning stand was useful once I figured out how it worked and also holds in the vacuum for storage. I really appreciated the extra filter included and like that the dirty and clean water are totally separate; I have moping water because it does not. I would love if the required cleaning liquid came in a concentrated form so you could mix your own rather buying new bottles. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wet dry vac model is a huge improvement over the original (green) model. The steam mode work great on my old dried on messes. You just have to leave the vac over the mess and go over it slowly. I love the new lint trap. It keeps the hair from bogging down the vac. The bigger dirty tank is great I dont have to dump it as often. One thing to note if you are in steam mode you will go through your solution faster. Id show before and after pics but im ashamed of my dogs bad manners. Also if you buy either model invest in the vac cleaner so you keep your vacs smelling and working good. Im buying a second one for upstairs and my old ones going in the pool room.

Neither machine produced steam after going through every troubleshooting measure that bissell offers. I ran both machines for over 10 minutes with the spray/steam trigger depressed and got nothing. Just cold, wet, roller and a puddle of water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this machine and didn't think it would that great. I figured the floor would be streaky and wet forever. I was so wrong! This machine cleans wonderfully. I love it! I like the hard floor setting best. We did try the steam setting. It did a great job, it seems like it used more water than just hard floor cleaning mode. I assume that's from all the great steam you get from it. The steam did clean my mom's kitchen floor where she uses her deep fryer. It was quite sticky and it did a good job on it. She usually needs to use a scrub brush on her linoleum floor but this cleaned it without getting down on the floor. We were both quite impressed with it. Compared to a mop or Swiffer the floor dried so fast and it looked so clean. It worked great on tile, linoleum, laminate plank flooring, and hardwood flooring. After using it 3 times in three different houses I can say it's great on all flooring. We tried it on a spot on an old area rug and boy, that thing has suction. It did look better after we used it. My favorite part is the clean-out cycle. I love that feature. Not having to take it apart to clean everything is so great. Just the filter and dirty water tank. I wish the instructions told me more things like how long the brushes and filter might last or recommend when to change. I guess I'll just use common sense on that one. Overall it's awesome! Definitely recommend this thing!

Unless a mess is really set into our rug or my dog has shed a ton, I can clean-up with this machine solely. My favorite feature is that is feels light and is easy to maneuver. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product on my tile and wood floors and it cleans both very nicely, picking up small food pieces and dirt very well. Even my 12 year old likes to use it! I felt like my bare floors were clean and sanitized and safe for my kids to play on afterwards. I am very happy with this vacuum/mop and have been telling all of my family and friends about it. Being cordless would have made it a little more convenient to use but it does have a nice long cord. Although the clean up of the unit after each use takes a little longer than I'd like I still enjoy using it and don't dread mopping like I use to.

I struggle constantly trying to keep my floors and area rugs clean because we have a young Shih Tzu puppy that is in the process of being potty trained and still has accidents. The instructions were simple, and the vacuum required very little assembly. This machine cleans, steams, and vacuums at the same time. Perfect addition to my home which has sealed hard wood floors, ceramic tile, and several area rugs. I was amazed at just how dirty my area rug was. Not only did it do an excellent job at cleaning, but it removed odors, as well as dog hair. I no longer need several machines for cleaning. I absolutely love the self-cleaning cycle this machine has. After use, just place it in its tray with some formula and press the self-cleaning button to get your roller clean and ready for the next use. This amazing machine does it all! Excellent quality and works extremely well. I couldn't be happier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before getting the Crosswave Hydrosteam I used to vacuum my floors and then get out the mop and finish by moping. The Crosswave Hydrosteam allows me to vacuum messes around my house and instantly start moping without having to stop. My floors aren't too dirty since I clean them twice a week but the grout can sometimes get dirty in between deep cleaning. The steam setting loosens the dirt right up and they look noticeably cleaner by the time I am done. I think by far the steam option on the vacuum is my favorite part. I made it a point to clean my bathroom floors with the steam after moping them with a regular mop and I was shocked at how much dirt it picked up. I was gifted this Cosswave Hydrosteam by the stellar product testing panel and I could not be happier with it. My problem with having machines like these in the past has been cleaning the actual machine... not this time. This Crosswave Hydrosteam comes with a self clean setting that makes it incredibly easy to clean and store the pieces on the storage base to dry. The included cleaning solution smells amazing too and I already ordered the full size bottles.

This machine is a game changer! We are a busy, outdoorsy house with 2 teenagers, 1 mud-loving Aussie fur monster, and 2 shedding kitties! My husband spends most days outdoors, tromping through the woods, both for work and play. We enter the house through a walkway in the back door that leads to the kitchen. Those floors get MESSY- daily! I was thrilled to be asked to review the new Crosswave Hydrosteam. My daily routine was to sweep through the back hall and the kitchen, then mop the floors every few days. This machine has made it super easy to run through those two areas daily. There are 3 different settings on the machine, steam cleaning, hard floor, and even area rug- I tried all three! The steam setting was great for the back door area. This space often has the most muddy paw and footprints and is where the shoes live. The Crosswave easily got the area clean. I ran the machine over the space a few times with the trigger engaged then released the trigger to dry the area. The vacuum on the Crosswave works well too! While it will not replace my traditional vacuum for carpeted areas, it worked on the pethair tumbleweeds in the kitchen with ease, all while also scrubbing the floors clean. I also tried the area rug setting- it worked for a quick once over. I would not primarily use this machine to give the rugs a deep clean, but for a quick spill, it will do! There are many pieces to the machine, but they come apart to thoroughly clean quickly and easily. A quick run through the self cleaning cycle and wipe down gets the machine ready for its next use. It comes with a stand that has a place for the machine itself, plus the filter and brush roller to dry out for the next use. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this product- I should have gotten a Crosswave ages ago!
