[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start this review by saying I have an almost entirely hard floor home (luxury vinyl planking and tile), a toddler, two cats, and an Australian Shepherd. There's constant chaos, hair, and crumbs. This machine has been an absolute life saver and has completely changed how I clean my home. Prior to using this machine, I was using a run of the mill mop and a vacuum. It took 2+ hours to clean my main area flooring...and having a toddler, trying to find that time to clean the floors is HARD. I love having a clean home and it was truly hard to keep up with all of this craziness until the hydrosteam came into my life. It is a beautiful machine, so easy to put together, and it is a BREEZE to clean with. Fill with water, the solution of choice depending on what kind of clean you need (they all smell amazing), and go. It vacuums, cleans, and steams hard to clean messes when you need it. I've used this on my large area rug, my entire home, and used it to sanitize my laundry room flooring where I keep our litter boxes. I have yet to find a mess that this machine doesn't clean with steam wash mode. The only downside is that the tank has to be emptied a lot and it is a little bit harder to clean up once you're done cleaning, but I have a lot of area to clean and I want to keep my crosswave in A+ condition. I always use the clean mode after cleaning, take it apart, clean all the pieces and leave them out to dry. So for me, a little bit more effort than a regular mop, but the rest of it is so easy that it makes up for it entirely. My floors always smell amazing and I can clean up just about any mess in just a few minutes. Thank you so much to stellar reviews and Bissell for letting me try this out. It has changed my life!

I bought this on September 2024 and had to get it replaced 4 times. The steam failed, the water squirting failed, the roller also failed because it stop spinning and it leaves water streaks This is very disappointing and frustrating to have bought this product and not work like it supposed to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this primarily for my luxury vinyl flooring and it's the cleanest my floors ever are; cleaner than when I mop and cleaner than when my housekeeper does my floors! The steam clean is fantastic and after they dry there is no residue or sticky feeling! Just clean floors!! The suction is really fabulous and I never have to sweep before hand. This has cut my floor cleaning down to a third of the time. I did use it on my area rugs for the first time today. Definitely helps to freshen but NOT a carpet cleaner by any means; so follow the directions and don't buy it for that.

In our house, we have tiles, wood, and carpet and this vacuum steam it left my floors clean and spotless, without any scrubbing. It is a very easy-to-use vacuum, just read the instructions before you start. This vacuum has two-tank technology and keeps clean water and formula separate from dirty water, pet hair, and dirt. Also, it has a self-cleaning cycle, the machine cleans itself to maintain performance and it has LED headlights that illuminate hard-to-see pet hair, dust, and debris while cleaning. I can say that this is the best vacuum in the market, we have dogs and cats in our house and this vacuum makes our life easier.

I am not super pleased that this one has a cord, but I should've read better. It picks up better than my cordless. It was impressive. But it is so LOUD. I could use my other after everyone went to bed. That will not be possible with the 3518. But I am going to keep it because I love the cleaning power & the fact that it dries quicker with steam. But seriously, it gave me a headache.

All opinions are my own after being able to test it against some of the stickiest kid messes that you can imagine. Set up was easy, the manual explains the steps perfectly and it was impossible to do incorrectly when following the guide. I tried first on my area rug for a tough stain from some pink juice. I loved the suction power and the rotating brush on the bottom seemed to clean extra well. I was able to remove the stain after a few passes. I feel that it would have worked even better if I had gotten to the spill as soon as it happened. I will say that it is a little hard to propel across the carpet/rug but I assume this is due to the brush and the suction. This is my only reason for a 4 star review instead of 5. The self cleaning option after finishing was wonderful! This was definitely my favorite feature. I felt as though I wasn't left with leftover grime in the brush. I was impressed enough with the area rug to then tackle my hard floors. Best ever! This is my new favorite way to clean the floors. With two young children, mystery stuck on messes happen. They were no match for this. Just a few passes and even the worst stuck on mystery mess was gone. The steam feature makes dry time super quick! This is a must for any home with small children or pets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine absolutely rocks! The entire main floor of my home is made up of vinyl plank wood and area rugs and this machine conquered it all! The ease of switching between steam wash mode, rug and hardwood floor settings was one of my favorite features on the Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam I could go from wood to carpet with the ease of clicking a button. I have three kids, two dogs and a husband so messes are a sure thing in my home, but the Crosswave was up to the challenge, not only was it able to pick up every breakfast crumb under my kitchen island it washed the sticky breakfast mess away all in one go! Gone are the days of vacuuming first and then washing the floors, I can conquer both at the same time using this, saving me time and effort!! At first look I thought the solution/water tank seemed small and wouldn't cover much ground but I was wrong, not only did one tank cover the majority of my main floor it left my floors feeling squeaky clean. The self cleaning mode was a bonus feature I didn't know I needed but now wouldn't buy a machine without it. I love that you can go directly on Bissell's website to repurchase the cleaning solutions and that they are affordably priced and go a long way! I was thrilled with the 3518 when I first bought it but now that I've used it a dozen times, I am decidedly much less enamored with it. I live in a small (1000 sq ft house) and the flooring is light grey wood look plank style porcelain tile. The tile isn't shiny smooth, it has some texture to it, and the crosswave simply doesn't get it clean. Dirt settles into the small grooves in the floor and the crosswave just hums along on top of it I tried it on my daughters kitchen floor - also porcelain tile but in a natural stone pattern and the same issue with it just not getting the dirt out of the grooves. It also tends to leave streaks and drops puddles sort of at random. It might help if Bissell actually made a better brush roller with bristles like you get on a plain old scrub brush, but at least right now they don't. I think it's a great idea but needs a bit of engineering refinement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to receive the Bissell CrossWave HydroSteam for free in exchange for my honest review. This wet/dry vacuum makes cleaning all of my hard floors and area rugs a breeze! The head is small enough to fit into the tighter spaces between the cabinets and toilet, allowing me to clean those hard to reach areas thoroughly. I love having the option to steam clean my floors as well, which is a feature I have not seen on a wet/dry vac before. I have children and indoor dogs and I know that the steam and the special sanitizing cleaner is cleaning my floors better than they ever have been. The floors dried quickly after cleaning and there were no streaks or marks left on any of our hard surfaces (tile, linoleum, and hardwoods). The self cleaning system is amazing and will allow my machine to provide a good, deep clean every time. The only con I have to state is that it can be a little tricky to get the vacuum to sit correctly on the black plastic holder, and requires a little jostling to get it to settle. Overall a great multipurpose hard floor cleaner that I would choose time and time again.

I love how it does everything in one, is super easy to use, and comes with something to place it on after use. It didn't get up super sticky messes or stickers (toddler mom) but it did a good job making it much easier to clean up by hand. Floors looked great and were dry right away!
