Total Time Saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this wet and dry vacuum to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I had never used a wet and dry vacuum so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was pretty easy to put together straight out of the box, but I did have to read the directions a few times to understand how it was supposed to be used and what all of the different settings were for. We have 2 cats and 2 dogs so there is a lot of pet hair and dirt on our tile floors. The SteamWash mode was the only mode that actually got the slobber marks off the floor and I was pretty impressed with how clean my floors were once they dried. It was also so much quicker and easier on my back to be able to vacuum and "mop" at the same time. The first use had a bit of a learning curve as the waste water bin filled up quicker than I thought and the self clean feature afterwards was a bit tricky to figure out, but now that I have used it a few times it is a lot easier to use. Would highly recommend for those wanting clean floors, but don't want to spend hours of your day vacuuming and then mopping!
Not the best.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this machine to replace my crosswave x7. I LOVED my crosswave x7. This machine doesn't even compare. Between the streaks that it leaves behind, and the fact that the tiniest bit of cat hair causes the filter to clog, and the machine's suction will stop. I really wouldn't get this if you have pets or hard wood floors.
Thanks for your feedback. If your CrossWave suddenly stops suctioning, it may because the float has engaged to alert you the tank is full and needs to be emptied. Please contact us direct at support.bissell.com so we can better assist you with the issues you're experiencing.
Great product for me and my dog!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got it and it was super easy to setup and use. I hate sweeping then mopping. It never fails as soon as I'm done I see all the pet hair left behind. I have a small 450 sqft apt. Lots of dust and lots of dog hair. Not a lot of major spills. However, it got the tacky grease spill infront of my stove up on the first pass. Didn't need to soak and rinse. I was done with all my floors in 2 passes. Took me 25 minutes to get all my floor area (moved the furniture to get the harder to reach areas). No drying time. Didn't make my dog crazy cause of the noise....BONUS!!
So impressed, highly recommend
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I remember when this came out, it was so popular. I knew alot of people that got it and said so many good things about it. I am so impressed! I love that I can use this on different floors in the house, rugs, laminate, hard wood, etc. It is so light weight, which is awesome! The vacuum alone works amazing. But the steamer on my hardwood is AMAZING! It makes the floor look so pretty and shiny! I have 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 crazy children... it seems so hard to ever make the floors look decent. I highly recommend this to everyone!
Great little machine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as part of the stellar testing panel and was so impressed with this little steam cleaner machine! I have a weekly cleaning service who comes and mops and sweeps but this machine really showed me that my floors are still pretty dirty! It's easy to use and pretty versatile for different types of floors. I love how you can clean so much with it! It easily got kids messes like sticky juice spills and caked on play doh off the floor. I wish it were a little quieter but overall I think this is a great product and highly recommend it!
Perfect for cleaning dog & kid messes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was exactly what I need to quickly and easily clean up dog and kid (2 y/o & 4 y/o) messes on my area rugs around the house, especially under the kitchen and dining tables. Previously, I was using a carpet cleaning spray bottle and towel to clean up food, potty accidents, mud and other messes off my area rugs and hardwood floors. This product has been a huge improvement! I love that it serves as a vacuum, wet vacuum or can steam clean. This has lights to illuminate hard to see corners and walls of the room. It's very lightweight, self cleaning and comes with a stand so it can sit upright while not in use. I really appreciate how this type of roller did not get wrapped in my long hair. Highly recommend! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this wet/dry vacuum.
Simple to use floor cleaner.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Bissell Crosswave from the BzzAgent group for free to give my honest review on it. It is about the size of a portable "shark" vacuum. It comes with three small bottles of cleaner: hard floor steam sanitizer, multi-surface cleaner with Febreze that claims it removes pet odors, and a bottle of "Freshstart" cleaner for use in the automatic cleaning cycle. I cleaned my lightly colored, cheap apartment "stone" tile kitchen and bathroom floors with the Crosswave. They are cleaned 3x a week by a Roomba and mopped once by a Braava robot mop. The Crosswave still pulled up a surprising amount of dirt using the regular hard floor mode. It removed most surface stains that were present, but didn't do much for ground-in stains in front of the door, by the counters and stove where we often stand, since this floor seems semi-porous but it lightened them a little bit. The Crosswave is a bit loud, as most vacuums and floor cleaners would be expected to be. It is not that heavy. It is simple to use, add water to the small area or large area line, and add the desired cleaner to the second line, and pop the tank in the back. It slides in and out of place easily. The dirty water tank comes out easily with a pinch of a hinge. It contains an air filter, and a strainer to catch larger debris. The Crosswave has three modes, steam, hard floors and area rugs and one button switches between then after you turn it on. It does not say if you could use it on larger carpeted areas. Once you've filled it and plugged it in, you simply press a trigger to release the fluid and release it to dry and scrub the floor with the spinning brush. The floor dried very quickly after vacuuming so that is a definite plus over regular mopping. Instructions could be clearer for using the automatic cleaning cycle. It says to fill water and cleaner to the cleanout line, but the cleanout line is 80% of the way up and there isn't a second line for the soap. It only used a small amount of water.
Brush doesn't even touch the floor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to get this. I was hoping it would be a life saver for keeping the floors clean. However, the brush doesn't even touch the floor when spinning, so it's really just spitting the water on the floor and then sucking it back up. It's not getting my floor clean at all. My brush is practically new looking.
Hi Mase. Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry you're not happy with your machine, but please contact us direct at support.bissell.com so we can get you back to cleaning.
The CrossWave is a MUST HAVE for moms & pet owners
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried so many wet/dry vacuums and I was so glad to find the CrossWave HydroSteam! It was so easy to assemble that I went from unpacking to cleaning in no time at all. I also loved how light-weight is so I can carry it upstairs and downstairs without much effort. I tried it out for fun as soon as I got it and thought my floors were already pretty clean. They apparently weren't based on how much grime and dog hair the CrossWave picked up! Ewww! I put in the sanitizing wash for good measure and gave the hardwood floors another once over! I don't think I'll ever feel they're clean enough until they're CrossWave clean now. There was hardly any gross water after the sanitizing wash, which gives me confidence in the ability to get it clean the first time. And I threw out my old wet-dry right away because it obviously wasn't doing the job. With three kids and 2 dogs I was able to put the rug cleaner to the test pretty quickly with a dog pee spot and was so glad I could just grab the vacuum, put in the liquid setting for a small job and clean up the mess. So easy and quick for this super busy mom. I also love how easy it is to disassemble and store. The drying rack is a great feature and tucks away nicely in my laundry room. All the parts washed out quick and I felt like I wasn't at risk for having dog hair clogging up the vacuum. I've also had a problem in the past with carpet cleaning machines putting out too much water and making the rug curl so I was nervous to try it on the area rugs, but this didn't happen. It was perfect. The steam setting was great for my bathrooms! I tried that out soon after and could visibly see the steam, but it didn't feel like it was saturating everything. I love that I can just run the vacuum back over the space without the solution release to dry the floors. With small kids having a mostly dried floor is essential. Nobody actually stays off them! I've been grabbing the CrossWave constantly to clean up small messes a
