The CrossWave is a life-saver for people with kids and pets!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this wet and dry vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am so lucky that I did! I have a 2400+ sf home with wall-to-wall tile flooring. Additionally, I have my own little zoo with 3 kids, 3 dogs and 7 cats. Needless to say, cleaning the floors is an everyday - sometimes multiple times a day - task! The CrossWave was very easy to assemble and learn to use. I predominantly used the SteamWash mode because of our tile floors. I quickly swept the floors prior to use but didn't spend any extra time spot-cleaning or scrubbing any of the particularly dirty areas. The CrossWave did a wonderful job cleaning not only the tile but also the grout lines. I did have to use a plastic scraper to get off a few inconveniently placed stickers, but everything else came out beautifully. I tested the CrossWave on muddy footprints/pawprints, spilled beverages, pet accidents and even dried blood from when my son fell and accidentally cut himself. You may need to go over a spot a couple of times for really difficult spots to come clean, but it is so much easier than the mop I was using before. I especially love the self-cleaning mode for when I'm done with the floors. I don't have to put much extra effort into cleaning the CrossWave in order to feel confident that it's clean and ready for the next cleaning emergency. The power cord is also super long so you don't have to keep changing outlets when you move from one area to the next. There were only a couple of downsides that I noticed with the CrossWave. First, the water reservoirs are on the smaller side, which makes it lightweight and easy to use but does require frequent refilling/dumping. Secondly, I also was unable to get the light to turn off when not in use unless I unplug the machine. Overall, I love this machine. If it can handle my crazy family so easily, it is a must-have for less messy households!
Great cleaning, lightweight, versatile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bissell unit provided very good cleaning of my LVP and tile floors, it's lightweight, compact, easy to clean and operate, can do deep cleaning of tough spots as well, picks up debris and pet hair really well. It also has flat base where you can park your vacuum cleaner.
Must have for pets and kids!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical at first because this vacuum isn't very big. Also I have always been a Dyson fan! But this little machine is mighty! It pulled more pet hair out of my carpets then I knew was there. I love the way it breaks down for easy cleaning and storage! The cleaner and sanitizer smells amazing. This vacuum is a one stop shop! No need to sweep first just go! 10/10 think everyone needs one!
Bissell Crosswave Hydrosteam vs two messy kids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the Crosswave Hysrosteam! All opinions are my own after being able to test it against some of the stickiest kid messes that you can imagine. Set up was easy, the manual explains the steps perfectly and it was impossible to do incorrectly when following the guide. I tried first on my area rug for a tough stain from some pink juice. I loved the suction power and the rotating brush on the bottom seemed to clean extra well. I was able to remove the stain after a few passes. I feel that it would have worked even better if I had gotten to the spill as soon as it happened. I will say that it is a little hard to propel across the carpet/rug but I assume this is due to the brush and the suction. This is my only reason for a 4 star review instead of 5. The self cleaning option after finishing was wonderful! This was definitely my favorite feature. I felt as though I wasn't left with leftover grime in the brush. I was impressed enough with the area rug to then tackle my hard floors. Best ever! This is my new favorite way to clean the floors. With two young children, mystery stuck on messes happen. They were no match for this. Just a few passes and even the worst stuck on mystery mess was gone. The steam feature makes dry time super quick! This is a must for any home with small children or pets!
I would buy this again!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have uneven tiled floors, and a very shedy dog. :) I used to have to sweep the floor daily, and mop, because of our allergies!! Not anymore!! This machine was so easy to set up, and worked wonderful on my tiled floor and my stairs!! It is very lightweight, and brushes are easy to clean. I think the water tank is a little small, but that's ok for me. I haven't tried it on carpet yet... but so far.. it has cleaned my tile floors with no problems!
Love this versatile product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is so great! The ease of using it is the biggest selling point for me. It is versatile and in a fast paced lifestyle it's an essential product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an efficient cleaning tool to add to their inventory!
Fabulous
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living where I do in New Mexico, it's almost impossible to keep my floors clean. The CrossWave® HydroSteam™ Plus Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vac, is fabulous. I have used other brands but they don't compare. With this I can use one machine in all my floors. I can shampoo carpets steam laminate. I am so impressed by this It saves so much time. My floors look and feel cleaner than ever.
Cuts cleaning time in half!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite impressed with how well the crosswave hydrosteam works! It swept up all of the debris, including Saint Bernard fur! All while shining my hardwood floors at the same time! Also, the crosswave is easy and fun to use! The one and only con that I have come across is, it doesn't get all of the way to the edge of the floor.
Ok for a very light clean (maybe just crumbs)!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you Bissell and Bzzagent for sampling this wet/dry vac. It is very nice looking. My first time using it, I vacuumed an area rug in my living room. It completely filled up the dirty chamber (we have a major shedding dog in our home). I planned to use the wet option when my kids would be at preschool so I could have plenty of uninterrupted time to learn the vacuum. My boys have a tile bathroom that I thought this would be perfect for. I normally mop with water and vinegar in our home, but the boys' bathroom grout is visibly dirty. I used the steam option in there, thinking that would help. I then went back over it with the multisurface option. It did not improve the discolored grout at all, but did a light clean of the tiled floor. I used the multisurface cleaning option for the rest of my home (mix of laminate and hardwood). There were spots in my kitchen that I had to go over numerous times and it still doesn't look clean. It seems like it does a light wipe over the area. My handheld mop is much better and easier because I don't have to scrub certain areas as many times as this vacuum requires. I was a bit confused with the self-clean instructions. The bottle says to pour it in the tray, but doesn't mention the filling the tank with water. The tray tells you to fill the tank with water, but doesn't mention pouring the solution in the cleaning tray. I did both and it seemed to do a better job at cleaning the brush than it did my floors. I have an older Bissell pet vacuum that I prefer to use over this one for vacuuming due to the size of the chamber. Thank you for the opportunity to try this out. I would not recommend for homes that get dirtier due to messy kids or pets, but for an older family it could be great.

Good machine that still has it's flaws
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to unbox the CrossWave HydroSteam. It's a good looking machine and it has the benefit of vacuuming AND steam cleaning your floors at the same time. I am a busy working mom with a cat, and any tool that helps me to maximize my time is important. When the machine is on the LED lights are bright and it cleans nice and close to the base moulding. The CrossWave has a self cleaning cycle that is just a push of a button when you are done. After the self clean, you are supposed to separate the roller, roller cover and canister, and then rinse those components and let them dry for 24 hrs. This part is a little annoying but I understand it's a part of maintaining the machine. Overall, the CrossWave does a pretty good job at vacuuming and mopping on my tile and hardwood floors. I have not used it on any area rugs yet. I am concerned at the amount of steam/water that sits on the floors when in hardwood floor mode. I have to vacuum over the wet area quite a few times to get up all the residual solution. I have older hardwood floors whose seal is compromised in some areas, so any sitting solution or water could be damaging. In steam wash mode, it cleaned the surface of my tile very well, but it did not get into the grout lines. I did notice that in steam wash mode the steamed solution is dispensed onto the scrubber brush which then hits the floor, and I am somewhat suspect as to how well the steam/sanitizing really works on the surfaces. I still believe that I clean my floors more throughly with vacuuming and mopping separately. That said, the CrossWave makes the most of my time and it's multitasking ability is my favorite feature. I haven't had any major sticky spills yet, so I can't comment on the Crosswave's ability to handle spilled honey or stuck on sauces. Overall, I am happy with the CrossWave HydroSteam and would recommend it to others. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the opportunity to test this machine.
