I pick my freezer up today at Sam's but when I got home, I noticed it doesn't seal. You can open it right up with no problem. You should have some hesitation.

This was a small freezer that worked within the budget. The wife had been nagging me for a freezer anyhow and this seemed to fit the bill and the environment seems to be a little quieter. The freezer arrived via FedEx. Was in good shape for being sent in a truck. The freezer is lighter than initially expected, so I placed it in the laundry room without any struggle. I removed all the wrapping and plugged the unit in. It fired up without hesitation and within a few hours it was below 0. Not bad. It's been running a few days to confirm operation before loading it with food and it's holding temp well. The unit says it's good up to 110° and is safe for garage use. I didn't know that, but for me it's a in house unit, should hold up well during power outages.

I bought this chest freezer recently and it looks like there has been a significant change to the unit. The freezer control dial, power and compressor on indicator lights, have been changed. The freezer controls that are pictured on the website are much more convenient than what is on the unit that I purchased. (the display unit at Sam's still has the controls shown in this add) These new lights are barely visible unless the lights are off in the basement. Let's hope they didn't make any changes to the mechanical components. I only bought this freezer because of the good reviews. Would be nice to hear from the manufacturer and have them list what changes they made to the unit. I will give this a 4 star rating for now and will update my review after a few months. This isn't a manufacturer issue, but directed towards Sam's. I bought the 3 year extended warranty and come to find out, it's actually only for 2 years and kicks in after the initial 1 year factory warranty expires. I feel Sam's should be more clear in it's presentation of the extended warranty. I thought I was buyin an additional 3 years of coverage after the manufacturers warranty expired.

One star isn't for the product technically. The product arrived damaged. Just unpacked it today and plugged it up. The issue as of today is it has shipment damage and I waiting to see if the puncture on the front of freezer will have any effect on its operation. Wish FedEx, UPS, & USPS would take better care of products customers buy and have shipped.

Ii is now the end of Jan 2026. I bought this freezer in July 2025 because my 24 yo refrigerator had an issue and the part would take awhile to arrive. This little freezer save my b_tt since I was able to get to Sams, purchase it, have them load it STANDING UP in my 1998 RAV4, I drove home and with leverage was able to unload it and put it in my garage, all in the same day!!! And I am a 70 yo woman. All my helpful neighbors were at work and I did not want to wait for my frozen food to thaw. This freezer has been a life saver, especially, since within a month after the part for my old fridge was installed, it needed another new part!!! So thankful to have this, but looked for an online manual, and could not find one. WHERE CAN I GET AN ONLINE MANUAL????????

Couldn't really decide what to put the overall rate as. When my order was delivered it had two dents when I had taken it out of the box. I was going to send it back because it shouldn't have had any in it to begin with. However, the deep freezer is a good size that can fit a lot inside of it. I had a smaller one, and after moving items from the small to this one, there were plenty of room for more.

I received my delivery and there is a dent on the left side and something pierced into the box putting a hole in the 7 cubic feet Frigidaire deep freezer. Contacted Sam's Club to see about a return and replacement but they are out of stock. Waiting to receive a response from the vendor that it came come.

Strongly recommend opening upon delivery. Arrived damaged, Sam's online-NO HELP. Went to club, told they don't handle online orders. My case keeps getting closed. Store manager advised to “ find” her for $20 GC. No thanks. Buyer beware. Would be great if arrived as expected.

No dents...but for whatever reason, ice accumulates horribly and I don't know how, why or where it comes from. It is almost as if water is pouring in from one corner and almost instantly freezes. The temp doesn't drop, the food is frozen...the seal, seals flush.

Amazingly, I picked a freezer without any hidden damage from store stock out of four! The reviews on freezers shipped show a lot of dent damage/bent corners!! I also purchased the optional warranty for additional protection!!! So far so good on the motor/temperature operation!!!!
