Hope you don't need one away from home

Packaging is deceptive. It looks like the name brand with the dispenser you turn to a notch to let a better fall out. This one does not turn. Every battery has to be cut out individually from two layers of very tough plastic. Got arthritis? Forget about it. Don't have strong hands and strong sharp scissors (or tin snips)? Forget about it. I cut all mine out at once and my fingers are sore. Never again. I'd rather ask everyone to speak up.

We are sorry for your experience with the battery packaging, Rich. Please know the packaging was updated to follow Reese’s Law, mandating all button, coin, and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – be contained in child-resistant packaging. We understand the challenge in first opening the packaging but believe once members become more familiar with how it works the easier it becomes to open.

Worst battery packaging ever

Have used hearing aids for many years, have bought Sams Club batteries for them from Sams for years, thought this new packaging swiveled around and dropped out batteries, but no someone thought it would be a good idea to see how many people could cut themselves or how far they could throw the package in frustration, I know I am not alone with this belief, TRY AGAIN

Who designed this?

I don't know how long the batteries last because I am going to return them to the store. I just purchased these for the first time and the packaging is ridiculously hard to get into. As other reviewers posted, even with scissors it is almost impossible to get out an individual battery without way more effort than I want to put in every time I have to change a battery.

Terrible packaging!

This packaging has to go!!!! There is no way I can use these on the go. I need to be somewhere that has tools to help me get the batteries out of the packaging! The plastic is sharp if you cut it leaving edges that I don’t want to deal with. I guess I’m buying my batteries elsewhere.

Decent battery, terrible packaging.

Batteries themselves are average at a decent price. The packaging is terrible and each individual battery needs to be cut out with scissors to be even remotely safe about it. This type of packaging makes it nearly impossible for elderly to safely use.

Do Not Buy

The package is ridicuously difficult to open. I wouldn't buy again. If they were free, I wouldn't want them.

Excessive restraint packaging!

Product is fine. The batteries are too hard to get out! I see all of Sam's Members Mark replies about their compliance to "Reese's Law" . Based on other's manufacturers' packaging, MM may have gone overboard in the protective packaging.
