Been over a month and I have no resolution to an Engine Speed Alarm/Fault that renders the system to not initiate automatically as designed when my power goes out. Without this key feature operating correctly I feel dissatisfied. No eta has been provided for a fix which adds to my frustration.

This is my second home with a generac and I am very disappointed in the new unit on my current home. It keeps encountering errors after it starts running which defeats the purpose of having a generator. It's terribly disappointing to spend so much money to prevent energy outage at our home/business, but with no better outcome than others that have not installed a generac. I truly hope that this software issue with our new generator will be resolved soon by generac.

Peace of Mind I just had the 18kw installed. I had a Great Experience with the Contractor. They came out and Explained Everything I needed to know. I have Natural Gas appliances so I didn't need a Huge Generator. I have heard it run and Seen it work. I Highly Recommend the Generac. It Cost Me a good bit of Money but I sleep with a CPAP Machine and My Wife has Insulin in the Refrigerator so We Needed This. Right Now I have Peace of Mind!

This has turned into a $6100+ yard ornament. We live out in the country and it has been impossible to get Generac to work on this generator. One Generac rep. told us to call Sams club instead of coming and looking at the generator as it is too far out of town.

I'm so thankful I purchased this generator my daughter had been wanting me to buy one for a few years . Me being afraid to step out on faith thinking we couldn't afford one. So we prayed about it God heard our prayers and sent the right salesmen to talk to us about it. I almost called him and told him not to come but a small voice dropped into my spirit and said just listen to what he has to say and the rest was history.. so thankful I listened and didn't make that call to not come and tell me about this generator... We are so thankful and it's at a price that we can pay without a struggle... Yes God will always get the glory from us. . GREAT INVESTMENT to our home. Thank you all so very kindly. Bought this over the winter and have already lost power for three days. Generac saved our food in freezers and fridges. Last year we lost everything. Like the AP so if you are away from home you can see it if it is running. Also since we are on a well, Generac kept the water running! Lights, water, kitchen, wifi all good.

Installed the 18000 a bit over a year ago. Perfect. Keep in mind that installation will run another couple grand at least and if your home does not already have LP, you will need to rent tanks and run a line which is another cost. Yearly maintenance is a smart move which is about $275. If you need sump pumps or have additional deep freezers or want to be sure your oil burner can fire and hate sitting in the silent dark, budget this smart purchase in. The peace of mind is nice.

I bought this unit for a rental tiny home on my property. I had already installed a 17kv Generac which services the main house. We have electrical outages several times per year in our rural location and our Generacs work flawlessly to seamlessly continue to provide power when this occurs.

What a difference when the power goes out. We hear a click the generator starts and the power comes back on. I didn’t have to scramble for gas cans, go outside to set the choke, turn the fuel on plug the power cord into the house, start the generator, turn the transfer switch on and switch the generator to house on. All of this was usually done at night in miserable weather. Now we just hear a click, the sound of the generator and the power comes on in seconds. Had several issues with the installation and operation of my 24Kw generac generator. Primary issue is that they say you get FREE mobile link connectivity...which is only true if you have slow, and outdated wireless connection, a 2.4 gigahertz source. If you have that you are in, if not, you pay hundreds of dollars for an upgrade, or they say to get a wifi extender that is at the slower hertz and puts a low security connection outside in your yard. Had to call Generac, which took days because "unusual phone call volume", and had to pull the information out of the help desk that the wifi must be specific to the 2.4 gigahertz. It could be another error by my installers, but research says check your wifi manual, and I never got one, and can't find it online. Other issues were time required to install, and if you going to a natural gas model, there could be a huge cost on upgrading your gas meter. The last issue is the problem with Generac's 24/7 customer support that puts you on hold. I always gave up after 20-25 minutes.
