I have had my whole house generator installed for about 4 months now. I installed it myself and it took some time. I would not recommend installing it yourself unless you have quite a bit of electrical knowledge and hands on experience. So far we haven't had an electrical outage so other than the scheduled automated test cycles it hasn't seen much action. The twin cylinder engine is a beast and a lot more quiet than my portable generator.

Generac system delivers power as advertised. System comes on within 3 seconds of power failure, runs my entire house and shuts off automatically when electric is restored. I appreciate the weekly system check that the Generac generator performs. I keeps me and my family assured that we will never again be without electric power.

Professionally installed unit and all of the piping/wiring. they did a great job. the unit recently ran for 6 hours when power was lost. it was great to see our lights, heat and well running while others were in the dark. glad we made the investment. love the mobile link feature.

Last week the main power went out and within seconds the generator automatically did exactly what it was supposed to do. Now I have the peace of mind knowing that even if I am away from home, my home will be supplied with power!! Great investment!!

We had days of power outage after Hermine. Had to throw out a lot of food and endure the heat. We also were without water, as we are on a well. It was a miserable time. Professional interaction with installer, Spectrum electric. They know the Generac product and how to install it inside and out. Only one instance of power outage since installation. Generator performed perfectly for approx 1.5 hours during outage and kept house comfortable including heating units operation. My only complaint is that the unit is noisier than expected and location between houses amplifies the noise during operation.

Our unit is fueled by propane from a dedicated tank and both the tank and generator are easily concealed from front or side exposure by a low picket fence and shrubs. Access to the unit is secured by the set's internal lock yet access is quick and easy. Service areas are easily accessible. The control panel is informative and displays service requirements. The transfer panel is in keeping with panels normally found at home electrical service entrances. We would recommend anyone considering a whole house standby generator to look closely at Generac's offerings.

Shortly after our Generator was installed Hurricane Matthew swept up the coast of Florida. It came very close to Melbourne and knocked out power to a large portion of our community. We lost power in the middle of the night. The generator came on line and electrical power was returned in a matter of minutes. Many of our neighbors lost all the food in their refrigerator and were without power for 2 to 3 days. We had no disruption in our house. Our daughters family came to stay with us for 2 days as they lost power. Our generator worked great.
