We got our Generac 7043, 22kW Generator in August, 2017. The installing company, Doug Williford & Son of Woodville, Texas was most efficient in the installation. The workers are very knowledgeable and polite to work with. They are prompt with servicing of the generator. Last year our electricity was out for 37 hours and I had 2 freezers full of frozen food. It was such a comfort to know that we had no worries. We are so pleased with our Generac and we love Doug Williford & Son Co. and their wonderful service people. I would recommend them to anyone needing a generator within their service area.

There was a lot of work that needed to be completed before the generator could be installed & hooked up. There were three men and they stayed busy all day. The generator runs and works great. It performs it's weekly test run without any interaction. Wouldn't trade it for anything Lew

I've wanted to install a generator for several years now but pulled the trigger when they offered a 10 year extended warranty option for free. The install process went well but took about 11 hours to do. The finished product looked good. I wish there was an option of some colors because the buscuit color sticks out against a darker color house. The dealer, Lee Legler, did a great job and answered all my questions. The first test run went well. I also like the app you have that lets the homeowner monitor the generator's status.

Been without power in past and had to get portable generators out, run drop cords and decide what to run. Now when the power is out, I just sit back and wait a minute the Generac starts. up and all is back to normal. Already experienced a power outage since I've had it installed. It was nice sitting back and life was restored to normal without leaving my chair. Knowing everything is going to be alright is a great peace of mind. Highly recommend especially if you have medical equipment that needs power like me. Go the extra step and raise it up off the ground like you see in pictures, will make it easier to service and keep water out during most storms. My set up powers the house and shop also with one unit.

The cost of a backup generator buys you peace of mind and comfort. That only works if the generator is reliable and easy to use. Let’s face it, my old gasoline powered generator is reliable IF I perform all my maintenance regularly at 1/8th the price. BUT... I don’t do the maintenance, I don’t want to haul it in and out of the garage, hookup all my extension cords in the huricaine, and haul gasoline if you can find it. A Generac whole home generator is always reliable and hands free. Now that is peace of mind.

We lived and worked in Afghanistan for almost a decade and experienced the "norm" of needing backup power generation. With Hurricanes, Ice Storms, and concerns about rolling blackouts from unstable utilities, the concept of NOT having backup power was foolish. We studied the problem and solutions for nearly 90 days before we arrived at the best solution, which was a Whole House Generator from Generac. The price was great, the quality of manufacturing (in the USA) was exceptional, and the unit works exactly as expected from the very first power loss test. Having worked with HUGE commercial diesel generators, we were also pleased with the sound level, and low carbon footprint from the Natural Gas supply. Now we can rest knowing we are covered in an emergency - and I love the 900 CC Engine (reminds me of my last motorcycle). If you are a "Prepper" - this is your unit. Also, if you are a Veteran, make sure to purchase through Home Depot or Lowes, (or) wherever you can get your GI discount! We installed this generator in December 2015 and it has performed great. We live in the country in Nebraska and being without power for several days in the winter or summer is bad. We have our whole house wired into the generator so when the power goes off our generator kicks in. I also installed UPS systems on our Satellite TV, wireless router and televisions. When the power goes off our televisions and Internet are not effected and the generator keeps them charged. It's a great generator and adds value to your home.

We just had a category one tornado rip through our town on 8/10/20 and our power was out for 50 hours. Our 20KW unit ran our whole house flawlessly the whole time. I can’t tell you how much having this unit installed 18 months ago has meant to us. Several of our neighbors are all putting one in now after seeing ours perform!

We finally had our Generac automatic standby generator installed 1/20/2023. Supply chain issues (every company we quoted also had some delays) and our gas companies meter upgrade took additional time but the big day came and we are delighted. Our dealer only does Generac installs and servicing and it was quite a sight to watch them work. Anyway, my wife and I (and our dealer) have the My Link app on our phones, making it very easy to check the units status, history, notifications, etc. Also, this product was NOT made in China but right here in Wisconsin. Great job Generac!

This 14 KW Generator was installed on 12/8/21 by (3) installers with completion after about 6 hours. The installation looks professionally done. The generators WiFi module was connected to my WiFi and a simulated outage was successfully completed with the generator automatically being energized. The simulated outage was recorded on the Mobil Link 'Status' page. The Mobil Llnk App was showing a 4 - 6% signal strength. Three days after the installation, we had a 40 hr outage due to high wind and the generator performed flawlessly, but the WiFi Mobil Link, not so good. The operation of the generator during the actual outage was not recorded on the Mobil Link status page. I checked the signal strength of several of my devices at the generator site and they all picked up a full signal in comparison to the generator WiFi Module's 4-6% signal. A subsequent call to the installer resulted in my being redirected to the Mobil Link 855 number with a request to pass anything I learned back to the installer for their education. The first call to Mobil Link concluded with a recommendation that I needed one of their recommended WiFi extenders because the generator WiFi Module doesn't work well with dual band WiFi systems such as the GoogleNest mesh system I have. After purchasing and installing a TP Link N300 extender, I upgraded my signal strength from 6% to 20% for the WiFi Module and with a recent update to the Mobil Link app increasing it to 28%. Since this was still well below the 40% signal strength that is recommended in an article at the Mobil Link Tech Support website, I called their Mobil Link 855 number again with my previously opened case number and was told they didn't have any further recommendations to improve the WiFi signal and 28% was probably good enough to avoid disconnects. I think this should have been a turn key installation with the installer assessing what is existing at the proposed installation site, quoting what is required to make the system work as recommended (including the WiFi Module) and then assuring it does so when the installation is completed. I think there needs to be a WiFi antenna external to the generator housing, but apparently Generac doesn't yet.
