After living in the Cape Fear area of North Carolina and experiencing various hurricane outages up to 10 days, we are glad we decided to install a 22K Guardian. The ability to live somewhat normally after a hurricane is a relief. No more hot, humid days and uncomfortable, dark. boring nights waiting in the heat for service to be restored. No more spoiled food. No more cold water showers. No more looking for sold out ice and supplies. No more warm beer! Did the load test today and no problems. We are ready!

We have installed this unit in anticipation of upcoming PG&E blackout in CA this summer. A recent email from PG&E confirmed their plans to shut power off to large areas for up to 5 days. We have a well and would be out of water in no time if not for this generator. We have not had to use it yet but the install is very clean and the unity connected to our wifi so I will be notified when it comes on.

Our generator was installed a couple of weeks ago. I cannot praise the guys who sold and installed the unit highly enough! We're hit by a natural disaster (tornado, hurricane) and lose power from a few days to weeks about every 2 years. We're due; however, this time we are prepared! We live in a rural area and had a few multi-hour outages over the years, one that was rather inconvenient. Now we have peace of mind. I did the low-voltage wiring for load-shedding relays on the transfer switch and the installation instructions were great. An electrician and the gas company took care of the hookups. The dealer did the final startup and tests, all went smoothly. Generator is relatively quiet and handles everything we need! Just added a couple of battery backup UPSs for the computer and TV and all is protected and power outages are a thing of the past. Now the funny part of the story. The day the generator was delivered, I told the guy that we had pretty reliable power and rarely had outages, which I attributed to our neighborhood underground service. Just after he set the generator on the pad, the power went out, for 18 hours!! I could only look at the generator and think this won’t happen again...and I should have ordered it a week earlier. The underground service, though impervious to falling trees and car accidents, still can fail and took a lot longer to find and fix the issue.

We have not had a power outage since the generator was installed but we are no longer worried about the sump pumps not working and allowing the basement to flood.. (again). I am happy with the installation prossess and the people involved in it. Also happy with the appearance of the unit. All in all very pleased with this purchase.

Generac installed yesterday....Charleston Electric did a great job in a highly organized and efficient manner. City inspector impressed with their work. Generac fired right up...the unit sounds like a finely tuned engine in a luxury vehicle. Transfer switch works perfectly. Thank you Generac for building such a fine product...Made in the USA. We live in a region that gets impacted by hurricanes each year. The thought of evacuating while Covid-19 threatens all of us is disconcerting. I just today had Serial Number: 000000003010512219 Unit Description: 22KW/999 GUARD-NO T/SW AL installed at my home I got the unit from local provider here in Houston, TX Wired Generators I was impressed with the workers that did the installation and being powered by natural gas I do not have the worry of filling a gasoline tank or change out a propane tank. I was also pleased with the low noise level when it was running. Last year I was without power for 11 days during freezing cooled weather and being on the Gulf Coast have hurricanes to deal with as well.
