I have a 22kw LP powered Generac model number 0056380 with transfer switch at my home on the East Coast of Florida. It was installed 02/2010. It runs for 15 min every week and is serviced annually. Its been through its share of hurricanes and power outages and never let the family down in 10 years. 22 kw will run the entire home. As long as you service the system annually it may last another 10 years I highly recommend Generac along with the network of service professionals

I proactively replaced a 15 yo Generac with a new one 2 1/2 years ago. The new 10kW model installed easily and has exercised weekly and been serviced annually without fail. We are in the middle of a pretty rough ice storm in Portland. 3 days into service the device quit. Repair folks say the main engine seal is shot and can't be immediately repaired. They went on to comment that the newer units just aren't the same quality. Pretty disappointing to have it fail in the time of need. As a much less important aside, the device also repeatedly drops internet connection.

I JUST PURCHASED AND HAD INSTALLED A 18Kw/ w/ ATUO TRANSFER SWITCH. THIS GENERAC GENATOR IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST PEACE OF MIND YOU WILL EVER HAVE. MY NEIGHBORHOOD HAS APPROXIMATELY 6 OR SEVEN GENERAC GENATOR INSTALLED ALREADY. IN TENNESSEE WHEN I LIVE THE WEATHER IS SO UNPREDICTABLE THAT ITS A MUST HAVE, NOT A WANT. EVERYONE I HAD TALKED TO RECOMMENDED THE GENERAC OVER THE OTHERS. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW QUIET IT IS WHEN ITS RUNNING, JUST KNOWING THAT YOU WILL HAVE POWER WHEN THE ELECTRICITY GOES OUT IS A TRUE BLESSING. IF YOU’RE THINKING ABOUT GETTING ONE, GENERAC IS THE ABSOLUTE ONLY WAY TO GO. THE GUYS AT ALPHA ELECTRIAL CONTRACTORS LLC ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST. THEY INSTALLED MINE AND DID A ABSOLUTE PROFESSIONAL INSTALL. KEITH GOFF, MIKE, AND THE GUY AT ALPHA ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS LLC ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST. THANK YOU GENERAC, AND ALPHA ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS FOR A GREAT GENATOR AND A GREAT INSTALL EXPERIENCE

From the estimate to the conclusion of installation, this project was excellent. Mr. Buchanan gave us a very reasonable estimate for the size and quality of the generator installed. The men who installed the generator, set-up and wi-fi connection did a terrific job, were very pleasant, cleaned up nicely, helped me connect my phone to the Mobil Link app. We couldn't have asked for a better team. Thank you so much for your hard work!

This 10 kw, 7171, is a great replacement for my 10 year old portable unit. No more pulling cables from the shed 65 feet to the house, and gas cans. Actually looking forward to a power failure. Once everything was assembled installation was about 5 hours. Love it

Thank you Generac. I installed the 22kw about two years ago after we lost power for a day. Hurricane Florence just devestated NC. We did not suffer any loses but we lost power. The generator came on immediately and ran for two days nonstop. I felt bad for the neighbors in the sweltering heat. My adult children all came and stayed with us and we were safe and happy with full a/c and everything powered on. We watched movies and weathered the storm easily. It was truly amazing. Thank you!!! Best investment I’ve ever made!!

Live in Hurricane prone area, wanted backup power. Holly Electric (Lake City,FL), did the install. Install techs were James, Johnny and Dillon. Install was quick 4 hours. You couldn't tell they were here, when install was completed. Great job. Tested unit and explain some of the features and maintenance tips. highly recommend Holly Electric,

So we had 22kw installed for 3700 sq foot house a few years ago, mostly for zoned air conditioners I can't live without. However, we never really lost power for very long, once installed. I was thinking maybe shouldn't have purchased a generator, although the peace of mind was always nice. Then a few nights ago all these edgy news warnings of a nasty nor'easter on its way possibly taking out power in Philly area, and much of the east coast for that matter, from brutal high winds and wet snow. My wife and I were sitting in the comfort of our toasty home watching a movie Friday night and then boom! ...Total darkness from power outage. Could only hear high winds for about 10 seconds... and then... that transfer switch clicked and that wonderful, beautiful, fantastic, humming sound from the outside generator, and then a few seconds later on come the lights, the TV powers up, the furnace is working. The oven is on. Oh man I can't describe how great that feeling was. I looked outside to see our neighborhood development homes, but nothing but cold wind and total darkness. I almost felt guilty when I sat back down on the couch and asked my wife, " pass the popcorn please". My daughter even stopped by did laundry she needed for work with dryer. No problem for the generator. Power still out days later for many in area, but ours did transfer back to electric company. Everything did work perfectly. My wife and I are so happy with our decision and filled with gratitude. Thank you Generac and Brad for recommendations and installation! Alex

Our generator was placed into service on 10/7/2022. Since then, it has often failed to start for its weekly exercise period (on10/11/2022, 2/8/2023, 4/6/2023, 4/10/2023, 4/20/2023 and 5/12/2023 to be specific). It keeps the service technician very busy for a seven-month-old machine. We have very little confidence that our generator will start if we experience a power outage.

We are extremely satisfied with our our GENERAC 14KW GUARDIAN stand by generator. Living on Cape Cod where we are proned to Nor Easters, Blizzards and Hurricanes. It is a relief to know we will not have to worry about loss of electricity. Especially because my husband travels a lot, I now will not be dependent on others to start our portable GENERAC generator. I will now be donating our portable generator to Habitat for Humanity. Also a big shout out to Robies (Hyannis, Ma.) for their professionalism, promptness and expertise installing our generator. I will definitely recommend GENERAC to all.
