Recommended by family and friends for our new home in southeastern Louisiana. This whole home backup generator is a great investment for piece of mind, when power outages will occur during hurricane season. Not looking forward to dealing with these storms, but knowing that we have this is one less thing to have to worry about. The team from ResCom Electric did a fantastic job, with quality workmanship and took time to explain the operational features of the system.

We lose electricity quite often do to animals causing transformers to shut down or bad weather conditions. Just two days ago an owl flew into the transformer. We would have been without electricity for nearly two hours, but because of our wonderful generator , that did not happen. We were only out of power for about a minute. That was great.

The population in our city is out growing the infrastructure for years now. Just a matter of time before regular rolling brown outs hit, and I have medical equipement that needs to be powered. Had a small battery back up, but it would only power one or two units and only for a couple of hours. I have no worries now.

Great installation job by the company I selected. Only twice has the generator kicked in but each time was a source of relief knowing I had power. It is the 22kw air cooled and seems to power the house entirely, at least the appliances I had to use and the cooling/heating system. Lag time was approx 30 to 1 min but there was power thereafter. Just long enough where you do have to reprogram the clocks on the microwave and stove, etc. The generator is situated in a nice outside structure which seems durable. I also liked the fact it was bolted to the cement and there was a shroud that covered the bolted area. It is associated with some noise but is markedly different from the portable generators (my neighbor has one and I can hear it clear across a field at least 200 yards. Appears to be low maintenance with the generator cycling to check itself I believe twice monthly. I have yet to see it cycle. Will contact the installation company when oil change , etc is needed. Overall, I believe it was worth the investment for piece of mind and also safety and comfort. So far looks good and works great.

Had it installed last month and although we haven't had to use it yet, and hope we don't, it's been doing it's exercise every week and reporting to our phones as expected. We live in a rural area so power outages are likely to be lengthy if they occur. Nothing like peace of mind with this unit.

Very pleased with our 20kw generac. We live in a rural area where we have saw power outages last up till two weeks. This generator gives us peace of mind with all out deep freezers full of meat. Runs our whole house just fine. I would recommend anyone that can afford one to go ahead and get one. I have wanted one for years just hated to spend the money for it. Was money well spent when im away at work and the power is off with a family is hard. Not anymore i can montior it right from my phone and look at the status. Family can carry on just like the power isnt off. Dont let anyone cut any corners on installation make them do quality work and everything will be safe. Thanks Generac!

Our electrician - a true perfectionist, and among the most honorable men we've ever met - has installed hundreds of whole-house generators, and won't recommend anything other than a Generac. He swears by their reliability, quality electrical components, sturdy and rust-free enclosures, durable engines, and the clean current they provide. During installation, he opened the generator and pointed out all the elements of Generac's thoughtful, maintenance-friendly design. All in all, it's obvious why Generac is the dominant player in whole-house generators.

Our generator was placed into service on 10/7/2022. Since then, it has often failed to start for its weekly exercise period (on10/11/2022, 2/8/2023, 4/6/2023, 4/10/2023, 4/20/2023 and 5/12/2023 to be specific). It keeps the service technician very busy for a seven-month-old machine. We have very little confidence that our generator will start if we experience a power outage.

Slick appearance, tad loud but it was expected..Bracket heating air put it in, was kept informed throughout process went thru all the features of it after they got done..had researched various generators and companies who installed..peace of mind during outages.

As a lifelong resident of North Florida, I have always been concerned with the risk of losing power during hurricane season, both at home and at work. For several years, I considered having a whole house generator installed, but could not justify the cost. I had done enough research that I knew that I wanted a Generac unit, as it appeared to have become the standard in backup power units, much like Apple products has done with cell phones, and Microsoft has accomplished with computers. When Hurricane Irma left us without power for 5 days, I began researching units again, and was pleasantly surprised that the unit cost had continued to decline. With hurricane season approaching again, we decided the cost was justifiable. We had a unit installed last week. The Automatic Transfer Switch works like a charm. It senses when power is lost and automatically starts the generator. Likewise, when regular power is restored, the switch senses that and starts the generator shut down process. As the owner, I didn't have to lift a finger! While we do not ever want to face another hurricane, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none. We are now prepared. Generac has made life easier!
