I am very satisfied with the product, but ... The installation manual needs to be re-written. It appears that everything is easy once the new owner has connected the device to his home network. FYI - not everybody has Internet or a home network with WiFi. The book says that if you don't have WiFi, go to their website, but the website asks for your serial number and then your SSID from your home network and will go no further. OK, call the 24/7 help line to get a super secret Activation Code. OK, but the work workflow tree doesn't include any reference to entering an Activation code. OK - just bumble along. The sequence of inputs don't follow what is in the book. At one point it demands that I insert my USB. What USB? There is nothing in the book about a USB. OK, just escape out of that. Stumble along, and things do eventually work out. They really need to hand a new generator and their installation manual to a capable first time installer and notice where he gets tripped up.

I have been contenplating either solar or generator for a while now. I got an estimate for both and decided for the generac because of the words of other people I know, the looks of the unit, other reviews, and the installing company information. I also have used the installation company for other work in my home and the employees have been professional, polite, courteous, leave a clean work site when completed, and were on time.

Redline elec. installed my generator, they were prompt, very courteous, very efficient. They worked in pouring rain and still worked like pros. I would hire them again, if I had to. The owner of the company was right on top of things, if I had questions, he was right there. He also was prompt and courteous. I was happy with the price. Good company to do business with.

We were impressed with how everything was handled from the quote to the installation. Generac arranged for 2 quotes. One was by phone and the other was by an actual visit. The phone quote was done by Countryside Electric and we chose them. Although we did not understand how a quote could be done in this way, GI had almost all of the necessary information from searches he did on line. Our biggest problem was that the gas and electric are on opposite sides of the house. GI arranged for his subcontractor to make an actual on site visit so an accurate quote could be made. Matt from Doc Thompson Plumbing did the on site visit and he decided that it would be easiest and most cost efficient to run a dedicated gas line through the house instead of outside. All of the connections are outside. Only the gas line runs through the basement. When it was time for the installation, it was done by Nick and John. They were knowledgeable, polite, and seemed to be very efficient. Brian was here with his helper Dustin on the same day and they also did a very good job with the plumbing. All of the people involved were concerned with doing the job correctly and making it look professional. Although we haven't had a power failure yet, the generator does run once a week for 5 minutes and everything seems to be working correctly. We were very impressed with all of the people involved including Eric and the other office staff that we have talked to. I would recommend a Generac generator and Countryside Electric.

Our Generac generator was just installed 5 days ago and today we had the ‘Run Through’. The generator runs perfectly! The generator installation was done by For-Tech Electric located in Lakewood, NJ. They took care of everything including getting the permits and scheduling the final inspections. I will forever sing For-Tech’s praises. Dave priced our unit out, Rachel kept us abreast with everything that needed to be done, and the guys that did the actual installation were excellent. (And speaking on Rachel, she is loyal to her employer to a fault. She is so good at what she does....so knowledgeable and just a wonderful person!) Thank you Generac and thank you For-Tech Electric!

We were away last winter and had someone check our house every several days. We head a power outage and the electric company forgot to restore our power so we were lucky that the weather was above normat (not freezing). If this had happened a month later we would have had considerable damage. My only negative for Generac is that the propane monitoring system only works in the USA so it is an option we cannot use.

I consulted with Adam's Power to install a Geneac house backup generator system recently and I'm sure glad I signed with them. I had three proposals and they were by far the most clear, comprehensive and competative. Dan Schopp was my tech sales representative and was very professional and knowledgeable. Upon signing they scheduled the work promptly and delivered and installed on time. Their office admin were very friendly and managed scheduled coordinated flawlessly with inspector and utility Co. And no worries....The installers, (Joe and JT ) performed and coordinated the work quickly and were done and cleaned up better than I hoped. The installation was done better than I expected no excuses or by the ways etc. they were very pleasant and professional and did an exceptional job. When complete they went over everything thoroughly, explained entire system, and I set up for a multi year optional maintenance schedule. After many power outages in 2020 we decided to purchase a generator. We chose Metro Electric to install it because they had the best presentation. It was installed on May 26, 2021. It was a rainy day but the electrician and plumber had tent coverings so they could proceed as planned. When they came into the house they had foot coverings so as not to track in any dirt. We felt they were very professional and knowledgeable. When the electrician was done, he came in to explain the Operating and Maintenance Binder. It said our generator would come on every Wednesday at 12 p.m. and on 6-2-21 it came on at 12 p.m. And on 6-9-21 we had a very short power outage in the morning and the generator immediately came on and then again at 12p.m. We are very pleased with the installation and especially the power outage start. That was great evidence that our system was working.

Very pleased with the functionality and protection provided by this generator. Mobile Link needs to be improved. I lost Mobile Link connection one day after installation. I went through the reconnect process probably 20 times over the next several days (I can now do this in my sleep). I had many conversations with the installing dealer, tried calling the Mobile Link hotline……I installed a WiFi extender, which showed connectivity consistently over 60%. But I kept getting the error message (on the APP) that connection was lost. I went to the generator and it showed connected at 60%. So I kind of gave up on the whole process. Then magically one day it started working (on its own) and still works as of now. I actually LOVE the features of Mobile Link when it works. I recently noticed in my activity log that “Firmware updated, boot to Auto” was apparently done recently - on the same day my Mobile Link started working consistently. I assume this fixed my problem, hopefully for good. So as of today I am 100% satisfied……after some initial frustration.

The installation process went without a hitch. Completely a one step process of selecting a Contractor for the entire job. I bought the full system plus propane tank and it was all installed in one morning with no problems including trenching for the gas line of 90 feet. The system started right up and they instructed me on the use of the system very clearly. The simplicity was astounding and the features of surge protection and load dropping and addition fully automatic. I was impressed. Never in my 80 years have I seen such an install of this complexity go so smoothly.
