We have the 22kW Generac running the entire house. The system does its maintenance run automatically each week. Our first power outage lasted 43 hours. We checked the generator oil after 24 hours and it was fine so we turned it back on. Our propane consumption during that period was appriximately 0.8 gallons/hour. We were using the electric oven when the power went out and, while we could see the lights go down for an instant when oven element kicked on, overall the house power worked perfectly.

this unit was a replacement for a 18kw generac , it only lasted for less than 500 hours less than 8 years old. current one 22kw on its first weekend run, it started to have a slight surge. found the air filter had to much fire retardant on it changed out for new now its ok. hope this one lasts longer!

We recently had a wind storm and lost electricity for five hours. Five seconds after the power went off our generator fired up and we continued our activities. Our special needs daughter continued watching her cartoons as we prepared dinner. Best investment I've ever made.

This is our 2nd Generac . We have one for our cabana and now a new one for the house. Oklahoma winters can be very harsh with lots of icing occurring on power lines. For convenience, we added the second Generac for the house. This is a great reliable product.

The Generac we purchased was the best investment we made for our house. The area that we live in constantly loses power in unfavorable weather conditions. Having the Generac gives us a peace of mind and provides us with less worry and stability for our large family.

After ordering our generator I found out on the Generac website there is an offer I get the warranty extended 2 years if you contact Generac before you order. It seems to me if you buy the product new from an authorized dealer you should be treated the same.

We live in an area where powers goes off each time the wind picks up above 5 mph ... well, almost. Six months ago we decided to install a 22KW standby Generac generator with transfer switch with Generac Mobile Link. Apart from a small issue at start due to a defective air filter (which would make the generator choke under certain conditions) which was rapidly identified and solved, we are most happy with our new generator. It kicks in as soon as we loose power, and within 20 second or so our power is restored and very stable whatever was on at the time (ovens, electric range, AC, etc). The mobile link allows us to check the status of our generator even when we are away from home and provides additional security. Finally we also installed a surge protector for the whole house including the generator. This generator is still quite noisy, but it seems somewhat less than some other generators we hear in our area. It is most important to choose the right contractor to install this generator, especially with the transfer switch and with all the rewiring that may be needed. Ours was stellar, and this was an important part in our positive experience. In short, we are very happy with our purchase, and would buy the same again.

We have been in our new home about 1 year and the Generac has run several times. It gives us great peace of mind that we will always have power avoid the surges accompanied when the power does go out. It is set to run automatically each month as a service check. It has basically taken care of itself since installation without any issues. I wish we would have had one at our old house. I highly recommend it.

The generator has been right on schedule with the test runs each week and ran well when my installer initially tested it. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars yet is because it hasn't truly been tested in reality yet.... we haven't yet lost power and had our "smart" generator automatically turn on. If we do and it does, for as long as necessary, I will enthusiastically give it 5 stars!

My husband and I had a whole house generator installed in our new home. It has already been used, and everything worked as advertised. We have great peace of mind knowing our house will be functioning even if there is a significant power outage. The appearance of the generator is as it was shown, no surprises there.
