Documentation received with unit doesn't match what you see on the screen on the control panel. Documentation doesn't match the online app downloading and setup process. Setup for the app is pure mystery. Something about choosing built-in WiFi, WiFi access point, or LTE. No explanation of what to choose. In the end, once I got connected there were no useful features that would require online connectivity unless I paid $50-$60 per year and even then, nothing essential to operating this thing.

My house is all electric and for several years I've gotten by with a portable generator, but it couldn't power my entire house. The Generac Guardian 22kw is just the thing for whole house electric power. Installation took place over 5 days, pour the pad (over weekend to set) place generator & 250 gallon tank, then transfer switch install. Finally the battery was installed and unit started. My Heat Pump was turned on then; both heat & air, worked perfectly. Electric hot water tank operates normally under the generator power along with all my other appliances. Weekly 5 minute test run was then programmed; the generator started & stopped on time. Completely satisfied .

My wife and I wanted a home generator that would work automatically and switch on when the city grid failed us. We had a Generac installed in 2005, but it wasn't a whole house generator. At the time we were traveling 6 months a year and didn't think we needed a whole house generator. Now retired and spending all our time at home, it became necessary to upgrade to a whole house generator. Metro Electric, once again did a great job!

My Generac generator was just installed last week in Mi. I lose power a lot and this 22k generator should be exactly what I need! The look of the generator is very very nice for a large item! Budget Electric and Generators installed it in hours, and the job turned out very nice for where my city made me place it!! They are an excellent company in Clinton Twp. Mi. Lost power at least 5 times last winter, and again this spring, each time for days. My home is over 4,500 sf, so I wasn’t sure how expensive this project would be. After seeing how affordable the on demand was and knowing it will add to the home’s value, I made the investment. My neighbors have stopped to report Generator Envy, and I’ve encouraged them to check out the affordability. The more Heat Pumps and Electric Vehicles are added to the grid, the more our old system will fail. I’m almost exited for the next outage.

This brand new unit installed yesterday, 12/23/24, will not stay running and smokes after a short lived start up. Shows a code of 1207. Panel light on, power light and auxiliary switches are on. Air cleaner duct not attached, back rail of unit bent and unit has small dents upon receipt.

From order process to the installation, everything went smoothly. Other than the weekly maintenance testing, haven’t had any outages since the installation. Get weekly updates on the system after the testing process is done. Highly recommended if your area is or has outages.

I own a Generac commercial generator for the last eight years at my place of business lost power over a dozen times due to storms has paid for it self ten fold, very reliable starts all the time and runs for as long as we have propane gas. Than I decided to get a stand alone 22 KW for my house best thing ever just lost power due to a storm five days after we installed it....I recomend a Generac for everyone.
