Purchased the unit from Perkins Generator Sales and Service in Sharpsburg Ga. The unit was delivered and installed within one month of our initial agreement to purchase. The installation and start up crew led by Cody did an outstand ing job dealing with the local inspectors and keeping us abreast of the progress, The startup was completed flawlessly and Crody walked us through the commissioning process. The support from Brian, the home office sales representative was outstanding and efficient. I highly recommend Perkins and Generac, the Generator team.

I live in an older subdivision built many years ago with above ground power running between large fenced yards. This means trees are never trimmed. A storm and we loose power. Wind? Power loss. A calm, cloudless sunny day? Those too thanks to squirrels not understanding transformers. It was late this spring after my third outage in two months, two over 24 hours, that I finally pulled the plug. Install of our 4022 wasn’t until September by Tek Electric, and as predicted the install kept the power stable for months. The first outage was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, 20 minutes before we were supposed to get on the road for a 10 hour drive. Pre-generator, I’d have considered canceling the drive and at a minimum, pre-emptively emptied the fridge and freezer into the garbage since I had a neighbor putting garbage out on Friday. As it was, I just texted the neighbor and asked if he could shut the generator off for a bit to cool down if it was still running in 24 hours. I only needed the generator for just over 2 hours, which I was able to confirm down the road with MobileLink. A much more pleasant experience than either dumping my food or delaying the Thanksgiving drive.

The whole house generator works exactly as advertised. The available whole house surge protector from SPS is wonderful. I can now get rid of all the other ones scattered around the house protecting various electronics. Specialized Power Services is customer focused and did an excellent job installing and explaining its features. Two refrigerators and a chest freezer no longer are a concern when the power goes out from falling trees and best yet - our spa is useable. No more gasoline powered generator, attaching it in the rain or snow, to run some products e.g. furnace and a few selected items.

We have had this for less than a month, but it was needed last night during power outage in severe thunderstorm. Never having this before, I was holding my breath when it dawned on me ... oh my goodness, it really does work. Went to bed and right to sleep!

The installment team were absolutely AMAZING! Very professional and kind. They all worked extremely well together, I never heard any foul language but laughing and enjoying each other as they worked together. They were all concerned that we were satisfied. Their work looks very nice, neat , and very clean. We highly recommend them.

Unit works great on Auto mode. My biggest complaint is that after repeated attempts to get the Mobil Link set-up between my cell phone, the generator set, and the automatic transfer switch, it is still not able to communicate with my cell phone. To me, this is an absolutely worthless feature and is probably hundreds of dollars (that I paid) that was needlessly spent. A feature that doesn't work easily and intuitively isn't a feature. I have given up on trying to make this work. Generac needs to send someone to my residence and get this working for me.

Four words to describe Kenney Long: Honest, professional, personable, competent. His crew is well trained, friendly and hardworking men. Just installed today by billy.i like everthing was coordinated with the power company & the propane company.everyone doing their job to get us up & running.everyone was professional & doing their job.we may never need to use but as we are getting older it's nice to know we have backup power.thanks.
