Very cost effective whole house backup power source.

We had the Guardian 22 kw generator installed a few weeks ago. It is completely automatic - utility power goes out, generator power comes on - utility power comes on, generator power goes off. It is attractive, quiet, and easy to program. I can't wait to see it operate under actual no power conditions.

South Florida Ready July 2020

After living through Wilma and all the other hurricanes that have hit South Florida, I finally said enough is enough. I purchased the Generac 22K and had it professionally installed. We did the test run, and everything worked without fail. We turned on every appliance and could not tell I was on generator power. Solid product and I am sure this is going to reduce a lot of anxiety during the next storm. The way 2020 is going I am sure a hurricane will be coming our way. I had to call the Generac customer support line for assistance with the app and getting connection and the support staff are awesome. So, Generac hits a home run, great product and great people.

Terrific peace-of-mind purchase

We are very happy with our Generac generator, and with the Generx team that handled delivery, installation, setup, testing and training for us. Incredibly simple to operate and maintain. We now have peace of mind as we head into Storm season here in Florida.

We’re backed up!

It’s winter in the Appalachians. The power to our whole area went out a few hours ago, as I was visiting a neighbor. We sat in the “dark” for an hour, and I decided to head home. As I pulled up, our lights were on, unlike all the others on our road, and the generator was humming, and wife was getting supper ready. That’s why I invested in this Guardian 22k last summer.

Wi Fi enabled

We Really like the unit and the security of having 24/7 protection against power failure. What sold us on this unit was the WiFi connection. Instead of just passively waiting to see what happens next. Our WiFi connection allows us to monitor performance at anytime

Excellent Machine - WiFi Mobil Link (not so good)

Unit works great on Auto mode. My biggest complaint is that after repeated attempts to get the Mobil Link set-up between my cell phone, the generator set, and the automatic transfer switch, it is still not able to communicate with my cell phone. To me, this is an absolutely worthless feature and is probably hundreds of dollars (that I paid) that was needlessly spent. A feature that doesn't work easily and intuitively isn't a feature. I have given up on trying to make this work. Generac needs to send someone to my residence and get this working for me.

New generator customer

My Generac generator was just installed last week in Mi. I lose power a lot and this 22k generator should be exactly what I need! The look of the generator is very very nice for a large item! Budget Electric and Generators installed it in hours, and the job turned out very nice for where my city made me place it!! They are an excellent company in Clinton Twp. Mi. So far, I am very pleased! Thank you for making a wonderful product!

Tested by Mid Atlantic snow storm of 1/3/2022

Brandon at Powertech in Hollywood MD did our install and he has been great to work with. Two close calls with ice storms last February and the disaster in Texas got our attention and we decided to install backup power. At 76 with COPD I no longer feel up to dragging the 50 year old 4 kW portable Coleman and cables the 100 feet from the shed to the house, opening the breaker to the utility, running the cable through the garage and up the steps to the dryer outlet, and keeping the generator fueled (I did this for a week in the 1990s). Brandon did our install the last week in March. We had a few very short weather related outages over the summer but the Generac didn't have a chance to demonstrate itself until 1/3/2022. We got a bit over a foot of wet heavy snow. It started about 4:30 am. The local utility started to experience outages about 5 am and by 2 pm over 45000 (about 25%) of customers were without power. We lost utility power at 10:52 am. The generator came right up and ran like a champ for the next 23 hours and 57 minutes when we got power back. We didn't realize we were back on the utility power until we got the text message from Generac that our unit was "ready to run" Coincidentally, 10 minutes after that the generator did it's weekly 5 minute exercise run. We lived normally during the outage, were the only house, other than our Amish neighbors, who heat with wood and light with kerosene, with lights. The peak load on the 24 kW Generac was about 16 kW when the outside temperature was about 19 degrees, the water heater was running due to my wife's nightly bath, and the upstairs heatpump came on in resistance heating mode. I have yet to trudge the 100 feet through the snow to the generator to check the oil (the manual specifies doing this daily when the unit is running). BTW, two days after we were restored about 4500 customers of our utility remain to have power restored. The utility is dealing with a herculean task with all the trees, poles, and lines down. We are grateful for the tireless efforts of their crews and their contractors and the crews they have brought in from other nearby utilities to help with restoration. This will be a storm to remember. Getting the Generac was the right thing for us.

Horrible quality control

The wiring connections were mislabeled so the electrician had to spend hours with product support to figure it out. It actually came from the factory with the control wire connection points mislabeled. This additional time really increased the cost of the install. This 24kW doesn't run my tools as well as the 7kW Honda I had. Never should have switched to a Generac that is rated with 3 times as much output. Never get Generac'ed again.

Retired the old se10000 and got a new unit after checking out the boss's new gen. I've got to say that it's flawless and true piece of mind when power goes out and it does often here. Installation was quick, looks ok in location chose and very pleased with results. Hands down best whole home generator out there that affordable n reliable
