So far- so good. I haven't needed it yet, but knowing it is there if I ever do gives me peace of mind. It took a long time to schedule installation in my area due to a backlog, but they did a great job (except for not leaving me the key, but I was out of town when it was installed) and it looks great. Too soon to really comment on overall quality, but the weekly exercise and online connectivity work as advertised. For the money, I don't regret my decision for one second.

The Pros: Just finished installing a 18kw in our new home. Super simple and the documentation provided for site selection, installation, and initial testing was great!!! The unit cranked the first time within 10 seconds (air in the lines). Subsequent cranks are about 2 seconds. The installed unit and transfer switch look great and blend right in. The generator is smaller than our AC condenser, so its almost hidden on the side of the house. The unit maintains great voltage and frequency stability for something this small. It sags for a second or two when my AC starts and the house is already pulling a decent load, but it recovers quickly. I had read of people having trouble with their UPS units not liking generator power. None of that here. I have three different UPS units, each from a different manufacture...all are happy with the Generac output. The Cons A little loader than I thought it would be, but not bad. Inside the house, you cannot hear it running unless you are in the room immediacy next to the unit, but the neighbors without power will not like listening to it, while they sweat at night with their windows open. They need to hire a competent programmer to do something about their activation process and WiFi pairing. Thank god you only need to do it once. I am disappointed by how limited the interface to the generator is. I knew there was a subscription service, but I stupidly assumed that was only needed for remote monitoring while away from home. I expected the smart phone app to be full featured while on my local network...not the case. It tells me the Battery voltage and that is it. It does not even reflect if the unit is available, unavailable, or running. Overall, I'm recommending Generac to friends. I still think its the best choice.

I am in the Emergency Management Field and live in a hurricane prone area on the east coast. The Generac will provide peace of mind when I am deployed knowing my family will always have electrical power without having to worry about a portable generator and extension cords. Our dealer was great and provided information and a professional install. I highly recommend the "GENPAD" for added security and great looks. This is an excellent product, and made in the USA.

Have piece of mind when winter storm warnings are predicted; don't want another experience like ice storm of 2009 where we were without power for weeks. Installer did a professional job at installation. Took extra time to install elevated surface so snow drifts won't restrict exhaust during run time. Looks great and runs on time, every time.

After waiting for about 8 months for supply chains to start to catch-up after Covid I got my generator and got it installed last week, now I’ll sleep better knowing that I’ll always have power no matter what happens in this crazy world. The generator looks awesome and is really easy to use and maintain, I can’t wait for a power outage so I can test it out!

From order process to the installation, everything went smoothly. Other than the weekly maintenance testing, haven’t had any outages since the installation. Get weekly updates on the system after the testing process is done. Highly recommended if your area is or has outages.

I just had this model installed. Lohrum Electrical in Greensburg, IN had it up and running with the whole house transfer switch in about 4 or 5 hours. Much faster than I anticipated and with excellent quality workmanship. We have had several power outages in the past, some that lasted for several days, and have lost a lot of food in our freezers and refrigerator. We now have the peace of mind that that will never happen again.

We are relieved to have this whole house Generac generator installed as a feature of our home. It is reliable and quiet during the weekly testing. We have had any power outages since the installment but are confident it service our home in the event of an outage.

Very happy with my new generator. Provides a lot of peace of mind to know I will never be without power again. Glad I went with the 22kw full house. I was very surprised to learn about all of the features that I didn't realize it had - like the exercise function and wifi. Installation went perfectly - about 4 hrs. Works perfectly.

Totally thrilled to have just installed this generator, when Tropical Storm Zeta blew through our city leaving many without power for 3-4 days! It kicked on, exactly as promised, and kept our family safe & comfortable. With 3 people working remotely from home during the pandemic, the necessity of power was not an oversight. It’s a reasonable expense for comfort & peace of mind!
