This is my second Generac. My first was in the Northeast and was a 20KW, but in Florida I upgraded to the 22KW due to large A/C requirement. The generator is surprisingly quiet. I only know its running because it sends me a text! This is a great feature because even when I travel I now know if my house lost power. I compared price and features to the biggest competitor and the Generac was 20% cheaper both in the Northeast and in Florida. The unit also looks great and my neighbors said they had to go outside after a power outage to know it was running because its so quiet.

The unit can not be setup to exercise under load. I like to test the transfer switch function as well as the generator capability to support load for a complete system test. I have been involved in probably at least 100+ standby installations over 40 years and have never had a unit that would not exercise under load. Would certainly like to see a firmware upgrade that allowed for transfer during exercise without requiring a total outage to the home.

I feel so much safer with this generator installed. I have full confidence in its ability to startup whenever the power fails. As a single female with an 85 year old mother, that's important! The installation team of James, Dylan and David were amazing. It took several hours for the power company to get the power back on after installation, but the team stayed until they did. They were very helpful and courteous and worked extremely hard. They also instilled confidence!

I am extremely happy and satisfied with the performance and features of the unit. I have a 3600 sq. ft home with 7 tons of A/C. The unit handled everything I could throw at it and didn't miss a beat. However, the unit has a small oil leak at the oil filter mounting base. The installer has changed out the oil filter on 3 occasions thinking it may have been a bad batch of filters. Both he and I think it is most likely an issue with the mounting surface that may be slightly warped as we cannot see any scratches or nicks. We are working with Generac to have this issue resolved and as of yet, it has not. Other than this, I am extremely satisfied and would have put quality as excellent if it were not for this one issue.

We got our 13KW unit back in 2008. We just went thru Hurricane Zeta and the unit ran for ~20 hours straight with no issues what so ever. The power went out and about 90 seconds later the power came back on. We had lights, we had television, until the cable went out, we had A.C. (I didn't have to hear, "I'm hot" a single time), and we had coffee the next morning, all on about 50 gallons of LPG. I financed the unit through my credit union so payments were deducted from my check. After about two paychecks, I didn't even miss the money. I am definitely glad we made the investment and plan to upgrade to a Generac 22KW unit within the next year so.

I have had this new whole home generator for about two months now and all the weekly auto tests are performed as scheduled automaticly. I have performed the monthly transfer tests and they have have worked flawlessly. It has also covered two power outages and restored power to my house within 12 seconds, both times. I love my Generac.

Very pleased with my purchase. All the people at Generator Supercenter in Victoria, Texas were easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable and did the work professionally. If you are interested in purchasing a Generac generator I would recommend calling them and have them come out and check out your needs.

It is hard to review a product that was installed on April 4, 2023 and still not operational. There have been multiple delays (installation, correcting gas line, failing electrical inspection and a faulty part). In addition, they get in no hurry to address these problems with 2 to 3 weeks in between each issue. 2 1/2 months later we have what is essentially a very expensive lawn ornament. I am hoping that we might have a working generator by no later than fall at this rate. Very frustrated and completely unsatisfied with not only Generac themselves, but their approved installer as well

Had my 22KW generator installed professionally by Generac today. Also had two surge protectors and a automatic transfer switch installed. Nice clean install and the unit started on the first try. Installers showed up on time and were very courteous. Unit enclosure looks good and access to change the oil and filter is easy. I'm very happy with this installation. Thank you Anthony and Crew.

What would you expect to see or use with a WiFi enabled Generator? Would you like to know when or if your last weekly test run completed successfully? SORRY Would you like to know if the ON/OFF switch has been turned off? SORRY The APP crashes, so much so there is an option to send error report OR always send error report. What you get: 1) It will say if your Generator is ready (but not if it is turned off by the switch which they now put on the outside of the generator so any yahoo can turn it off, your away from home oh well guess the pipes will freeze, your family is in the dark and dont know why), oh that comforting feeling of having a generator...GONE 2) It will tell you the number of run hours 3) It will tell you if your battery voltage is good. 4) It will email you once a month with the above information. 5) Monthly report tells you if there was problems in the last 4 weeks, not immediately The app has a manual you can look up. If the app is working. The generator when under test is quieter than the older models. For example I cant hear mine run during test, but can hear the neighbors when his runs. In 3 months of operation we had one power failure and the unit worked flawlessly.
