We have just had the generator installed so I am not able at this time to speak as to the dependable service of the generator. However I was most impressed with the service personnel at Platinum Electrical who installed the generator. They made the installation process a very comfortable one.Both my wife and I were grateful for the professionalism they displayed. They answered all our questions and confirmed in our minds that the purchase of the generator was the right decision.

With young children in my house, I don't want to worry about keeping them warm in winter or cool in summer. With everything powered these days, including cell phones, that we use exclusively for communication... I can't afford to be without power. Food in refrigerator and freezers will not spoil. Life will go on "normally" in the house when the power goes out. Having a whole house generator installed, lets me not worry about a power outage anymore. So glad that Generac makes residential generators... it will last.

I hate losing electrical power — no heat or cooling, no lights, no Internet. In the past, I’ve lived in areas where power could go off for days. No more! I had a 22 kw Generac installed a year ago. The peace of mind it provides is priceless. When the lights go out, I count to 6, and I hear the generator start. Then I count to 15, and the lights come on. During the last year, we’ve had four multi-hour power outages. The Generac has never failed: Within 25 seconds, power is back on every time. I will never live without a whole home generator again.

The guys from Generac were amazing. From the installation right to them showing me how the unit works. They even showed me what to look for so i can troubleshoot by myself in case of an emergency when it really matters. The noise deadening insulation on the unit is unbelievable. It is a loud as a lawn mower. I was able to have conversation standing next to it. When it was on line and running, i put everything on in the house including my AC unit. Had no problem keeping the power on without a flicker.

In the first year after installing this generator, I had to use it 6 times. Once during the El Dorado Fire (gender reveal fire). It was 110 degrees out and someone set off explosives in a field nearby which ended up burning our mountain community for over a week. During that time there was no power from the grid. My generator kicked in and provided power for me, enough to keep all of the refrigerators running, A/C, well pump and TV. I don't know what I would have done without it, as it was over 100 degrees out and I couldn't open any windows due to extreme amounts of smoke from the nearby fire. I also rely on electricity to pump water in the house from the well. I was able to use all of my appliances. This generator has been a wise investment for me.

Just installed today and install was great really good crew. When he went to do test of system generator unit fired up but would not switch over to power the house. Installer said there is a defective switch in unit preventing transfer. I understand things happen and am hoping once replaced generator will perform as expected and provide the peace of mind il looking for and the reliability GENERAC is known for.

I used Generac website to find a certified installer and found one in my neighborhood. They came out and done a whole house evaluation to determine my power load and suggested I needed a 22K model 7043 along with a 200 amp smart module for my 2645 sq foot home . I can’t stress enough you should use a certified installer to cover the Generac warranty. I have seen some of the bad reviews due to shabby institutions and they have nothing but problems which are not covered under warranty and the people had to pay to have a certified Generac installer to fix the problem. If they would have done that from the start their wouldn’t been any issues. I used McQuagge Electric Company here in ST. Cloud,Fl and there installation included the 3in hurricane pad, battery, 200 amp automatic transfer switch, along with a 200 amp smart module plus permits. Since I already had Blossman gas bury my 250 gallon propane tank for my spa heater I had Blossman run a line to the generator also. McQuagge Electric Company even checks to make sure the propane line is correctly installed before they even do a test run. They check anything and everything to make sure there are no issues, very professional company. The cost of the generator, hurricane pad, battery, and smart module cost as much as the installation. Which was not cheap but you Get what you pay for . Since the complete installation is not done yet I cannot comment on how good the unit works. I will do that later. I called Generac and received a 7 year warranty since they were running a ad on TV.

Relatively simple to install and hook up to my existing ATS, and LP tanks. Still haven’t been able to interface with wi-if, though. Generator attempts to access my neighbor’s wi-if and doesn’t seem to recognize mine. Will keep trying to connect, but this is why I gave four instead of five stars.

Installment was not difficult. Features are well defined. Manual not hard to read but does require someone who is knowledgeable in the electrical field, not a novice. Price was very reasonable. power went out 3 times while we were waiting for it to get hooked up. we were glad then that we had purchased this unit.

We are very pleased with our selection and find this product to have all the features we were looking for plus some! It is more than adequate to meet our needs.. Next time there is a power outage, we can sit back and continue without an interruption and proudly say "powered by Generac!"
