I am very happy with my new Generac generator and the stand which is sits on, allowing it to remain above the snow in the Winter. Mike and Jim who installed it for me are true professionals and I would highly recommend a Generac whokle house generator. It gives me such peace of mind having it as a backup for power outages. The installation instruction jump around . 1. Should list all required downloads/ apps in one location. 2. Not have separate little instruction in odd pamphlet's or in conctient locations #. After have the PWRView installed, I found that you had to download another app. This app would not accept the same app as the other apps for this generator and would not send me an email link to reset. I paid the electrician money to stand around with the generator running only to bedead ended, The PWRView app would not let me register

From the estimate to the conclusion of installation, this project was excellent. Mr. Buchanan gave us a very reasonable estimate for the size and quality of the generator installed. The men who installed the generator, set-up and wi-fi connection did a terrific job, were very pleasant, cleaned up nicely, helped me connect my phone to the Mobil Link app. We couldn't have asked for a better team. It is hard to review a product that was installed on April 4, 2023 and still not operational. There have been multiple delays (installation, correcting gas line, failing electrical inspection and a faulty part). In addition, they get in no hurry to address these problems with 2 to 3 weeks in between each issue. 2 1/2 months later we have what is essentially a very expensive lawn ornament. I am hoping that we might have a working generator by no later than fall at this rate. Very frustrated and completely unsatisfied with not only Generac themselves, but their approved installer as well

Since the Generator was installed, we have not lost electrical power to our home .However, we expect the Generator to perform as advertised. We were surprised at the number times the installer had to come back to get the Mobile Link feature operational. All in all, we are very pleased with the price, product and warranty.

I cannot speak to the electronic features of this unit as I am not a techie, and we have not needed it yet due to an outage. We did not price around but insisted on an American made generator. If it provides us power when we need it, we will assume we purchased a Quality unit.

I purchased this generator and had installed by Sentry in Birmingham. For 9 years, I have been using a Honda 2000 for power on a reagular basis about once every 6-8 weeks with power outages. Being one of 5 houses on a line that comes off main line, the power company never gets in a hurry to restore it. So nice to know, that I no longer have to worry if power outage occurs while I am at work or it is out for extended periods. I now have heat, a/c, & total power with my Generac.

We were impressed with how everything was handled from the quote to the installation. Generac arranged for 2 quotes. One was by phone and the other was by an actual visit. The phone quote was done by Countryside Electric and we chose them. Although we did not understand how a quote could be done in this way, GI had almost all of the necessary information from searches he did on line. Our biggest problem was that the gas and electric are on opposite sides of the house. GI arranged for his subcontractor to make an actual on site visit so an accurate quote could be made. Matt from Doc Thompson Plumbing did the on site visit and he decided that it would be easiest and most cost efficient to run a dedicated gas line through the house instead of outside. All of the connections are outside. Only the gas line runs through the basement. When it was time for the installation, it was done by Nick and John. They were knowledgeable, polite, and seemed to be very efficient. Brian was here with his helper Dustin on the same day and they also did a very good job with the plumbing. All of the people involved were concerned with doing the job correctly and making it look professional. Although we haven't had a power failure yet, the generator does run once a week for 5 minutes and everything seems to be working correctly. We were very impressed with all of the people involved including Eric and the other office staff that we have talked to. I would recommend a Generac generator and Countryside Electric.

Nice looking unit. Noisier than I though it would be. Install took longer than it should have due to installer showing up with out necessary parts on a Friday and then had to wait till the following Monday to finish. Once installed unit fired up promptly and the "simulated" power outage had the unit start and within a few seconds the house had power. Obviously won't know how well it really works until an actual emergency and hopefully it works as promised. Wi-Fi set up SUCKs big time. NONE of the provided booklets explain it properly. Finally found a manual on-line (by Generac) that explained it. Why wasn't this manual provided with the paperwork? Wi-Fi still doesn't work and I'm not entirely sure why? Weak signal probably. Unit also a USB capability to update firmware but again NO manual explaining how that might work.

The contractor that installed instructed me on the installation, use and knowledge of this equiptment. I can now have a piece of mind knowing that the generac generator will kick in when power goes off. Also no gasoline just natural gas which relieves me of much work. My neighbors are very interested and are impressed with ease of the generatot.
