After experiencing our first Florida hurricane season last year, and losing electricity for 3 days, while watching my neighbors enjoying their new Generac Guardian generators, I decided to order and have my own Generac installed. I love the thought of the security and comfort I just invested in for my family.

Love my new 22KW/999 generator! The first week it was installed I got to put it to use! A squirrel blew the transfer switch for our neighborhoods power! I was in the shower at the time and when the lights went out I thought oh no! But 10 seconds and I had power! The rest of the neighbors were out of power for 5 hours! Generator did it’s job!

After many power outages in 2020 we decided to purchase a generator. We chose Metro Electric to install it because they had the best presentation. It was installed on May 26, 2021. It was a rainy day but the electrician and plumber had tent coverings so they could proceed as planned. When they came into the house they had foot coverings so as not to track in any dirt. We felt they were very professional and knowledgeable. When the electrician was done, he came in to explain the Operating and Maintenance Binder. It said our generator would come on every Wednesday at 12 p.m. and on 6-2-21 it came on at 12 p.m. And on 6-9-21 we had a very short power outage in the morning and the generator immediately came on and then again at 12p.m. We are very pleased with the installation and especially the power outage start. That was great evidence that our system was working.

Well our Generac 22K generator is ready every second every hour of everyday 24/7 peace of mind. Completely satisfied with our generator, comes on once a week for 10 min to do a self test, great feature. We did lose power this winter season and just like generac said the unit will kick on in 10 seconds. Restored power to the house!!!! At that point I said it was worth every penny. Surprise storm popped up and power went out. Within about thirty seconds the Generac had fired up and everything was back to normal. Daughter and family camped out with us overnight. I was probably informed; but forgot that only one a/c would operate at a time. Ran upstairs a/c and cool air trickled down. Generac was a bit loud; but loud and cool beats quiet and hot every time.

I couldn’t live without one of these to back up my house. They are amazing! If you are looking for a generator I can’t recommend these enough! This is my second home purchasing a generator. When there’s a storm these make you rest at ease that you’ll not starve or freeze to death! If you’re a home owner they are a must! Please consider them!

The dealer we went through, Warren Welding of Berryville Ar, was wonderful to work with in every aspect of the purchase to the final installation. The generator works great and has given us the peace of mind whenever there maybe a power outage that our home will be supplied with electricity. We live in a remote area and this is an important issue for us.

We live in a rural Ontario region. Our concern about power stability is well founded as there are outages from time-to-time. We are very relieved to have invested in the 22kw Guardian. This is my second Generac. My first was in the Northeast and was a 20KW, but in Florida I upgraded to the 22KW due to large A/C requirement. The generator is surprisingly quiet. I only know its running because it sends me a text! This is a great feature because even when I travel I now know if my house lost power. I compared price and features to the biggest competitor and the Generac was 20% cheaper both in the Northeast and in Florida. The unit also looks great and my neighbors said they had to go outside after a power outage to know it was running because its so quiet.

After more than ten years' experience with our reliable 8 Kw Generac that met our basic electrical needs, we realized that it really didn't make a great deal of sense to have a backup generator that couldn't power our central air and our electric range as well. With that in mind we contacted our (outstanding) local Generac sales and service outlet to obtain a proposal on a unit that would meet our needs. Our sales rep, Ian advised us that our needs would best be met with Generac's 22 Kw Guardian with whole house transfer switch, which we had installed last Friday. The installation was done professionally and expeditiously and, almost as if on cue, we had a two-hour power outage overnight of the second day after installation. As the weather was quite warm, the central air came on during the outage, and while the a/c's initial startup load did cause a noticeable momentary increased load on the generator, it was well handled and we were glad we had followed Ian's recommendation for the larger unit. As we have been pleased with the performance of our previous Generac we are looking forward to having the added capacity as well as advanced features of our new Generac and being secure in the knowledge that future power outages will have minimal impact on our overall comfort and safety.
