I decided to buy a whole home generator. After reading lots of review Generac was the clear choice. I called Optimize EGS in Baton Rouge, they came out and explained the process. The crew came to install a Guardian 22 kw unit. The were professional and did a great job with the entire process. We ran a test run after the install. I am now prepared for any outages now! No more one month outage after hurricanes!!!!

The contractor that installed instructed me on the installation, use and knowledge of this equiptment. I can now have a piece of mind knowing that the generac generator will kick in when power goes off. Also no gasoline just natural gas which relieves me of much work. My neighbors are very interested and are impressed with ease of the generatot.

After spending a week without power in GA from an unprecedented storm then coming back to FL and having the power out due to a hurricane, we decided to invest in a Generac. We had done our research and the Generac had the best reviews plus we knew several friend with different brands. The convenience is unbeatable and the security it provides our family knowing we will not be spending another night in darkness is tremendous. We have had quite a few long power outages in the last ten years, and when my husband was put on a CPAP machine, we realized we needed a generator. Mark, of M.F.Electric, L.L.C. did an outstanding job with the installation of our generator. It was a complicated installation because the gas line had to go through the house, due to town regulations. Mark was punctual, got the job done quickly and in the time frame he promised. When we got our inspections, the building inspector commented that he had done a good job. In the world of contractors, this counts as a home run! I am actually looking forward to the next power outage.

We are so happy we purchased our generator. Many neighbors were buying the Guardian Series Generac generator and raving about it. We now don't have to worry when the power goes out to not have our house air conditioned or our refrigerator not working. We love how we can monitor it from the app and see when it comes on when we are not home. No regrets and we highly recommend to have this Generac product installed in your home!

Brandon at Powertech in Hollywood MD did our install and he has been great to work with. Two close calls with ice storms last February and the disaster in Texas got our attention and we decided to install backup power. At 76 with COPD I no longer feel up to dragging the 50 year old 4 kW portable Coleman and cables the 100 feet from the shed to the house, opening the breaker to the utility, running the cable through the garage and up the steps to the dryer outlet, and keeping the generator fueled (I did this for a week in the 1990s). Brandon did our install the last week in March. We had a few very short weather related outages over the summer but the Generac didn't have a chance to demonstrate itself until 1/3/2022. We got a bit over a foot of wet heavy snow. It started about 4:30 am. The local utility started to experience outages about 5 am and by 2 pm over 45000 (about 25%) of customers were without power. We lost utility power at 10:52 am. The generator came right up and ran like a champ for the next 23 hours and 57 minutes when we got power back. We didn't realize we were back on the utility power until we got the text message from Generac that our unit was "ready to run" Coincidentally, 10 minutes after that the generator did it's weekly 5 minute exercise run. We lived normally during the outage, were the only house, other than our Amish neighbors, who heat with wood and light with kerosene, with lights. The peak load on the 24 kW Generac was about 16 kW when the outside temperature was about 19 degrees, the water heater was running due to my wife's nightly bath, and the upstairs heatpump came on in resistance heating mode. I have yet to trudge the 100 feet through the snow to the generator to check the oil (the manual specifies doing this daily when the unit is running). BTW, two days after we were restored about 4500 customers of our utility remain to have power restored. The utility is dealing with a herculean task with all the trees, poles, and lines down. We are grateful for the tireless efforts of their crews and their contractors and the crews they have brought in from other nearby utilities to help with restoration. This will be a storm to remember. Getting the Generac was the right thing for us.

Having to listen to our neighbors generator kick on immediately after our neighborhood has power lost and knowing they are sitting in their home comfortably (with their a/c running) while we are left with no electric, no a/c (in Florida) we finally decided to get our automatic standby generator installed. Best. Decision. Ever! The process from beginning to end was effortless. We purchased our Generac generator from Holly Electric (Donald and Crystal were awesome!) and they handled everything! The installers Jason II, Eli, and Johnny were professional and friendly and not only installed our generator but cleaned up after themselves including making sure the generator was wiped down free of handprints (Thanks Jason!) a small gesture that showed me he takes pride in his work! I now have peace of mind especially when it comes to the possibility of power loss during hurricane season.

I own a 20k whole home unit.I added on to home years after I installed the unit. I need a bigger or another unit because house demands more than the 20k I now possess. What am I going to do? General is exactly what I'm going to do. Bottom line, my unit worked as advertised so I'm sticking with what worked for me. My current Generac still works great. I just need more power.
