This generator is near perfect for my needs. The only tweak I might recommend would be the ability to connect gas/electric/both under the unit (through the pad) as well as from the side (would improve the final installation appearance. That being said, looks very good and runs well and quietly. I need to add that the business you choose to install this system is key! I leveraged "Generator Works" in Denmark Wisconsin and couldn't be more pleased. If you need great results, do your homework and find a partner like the one I used.

For unknown reasons we've recently been experiencing more frequent power outages in the Ohio region than we have in the past 20 years. In June we went 4 days in 95 deg. temperatures without power. On day 3 we decided as soon as possible we'd be getting a standby generator. Close friends who have Generac Generators highly recommended the units and Riverside Electric, our installers. 3 Days after Thanksgiving, the install was completed by our Dealer. 4 Days after Thanksgiving we had a 1 hour power outage with a house full of family guest staying after the holidays. No one, including my wife and I knew we'd experienced an outage until we woke to find text messages from our power company and Mobile Link that our generator had been keeping us fully powered throughout the outage. We didn't even hear the generator run! We are thoroughly impressed with the quality and responsiveness of our new generator. Can't recommend it enough. Unfortunately, I suspect we are going to need it even more in the coming future.

My generator is not even a year old and is broken. The part that generates the electricity burnt up and needed replaced. Now the housing unit doesn’t close right. The people who installed it aren’t sure what to do. I am furious, I think they should replace the thing. I would never recommend these to anyone.

We chose Generac based on online reviews, record of reliability, features, and appearance. We were not disappointed. The dealer did an awesome job with the installation and training us in the operation of the unit. Would definitely recommend.

The team is spot on from the time they arrived until the job was finished and they left everything as neat and tidy as if they were not even here working. This was a tremendous purchase for our household and I can't wait until the power goes out. Anyone living with a well and septic knows how difficult life becomes when the lights go out! It has been four weeks and still waiting to solidify why this was the best decision ever. I'm sure it will be worth it! Thank you Generac for the extended warranty and I am certain what will be a quality product.

we've had almost 1 year now haven't to use it yet thankfully go to know it out there just in case it's needed . power's the entire house . with full size freezer and refrigerator in the basement. plus the furnace system . a very comfortable feeling for the the both of us.

As a home owner and retired general contractor who received installation certification on Generac several years ago, I already knew before purchasing this product that it would thoroughly satisfy my expectations for quality and dependability.

Just had the Generac installed this week and now We have the peace of mind when we go on vacation or out of town and the power goes out there is no need to worry about my freezers and refrigerator not operating. Also the sump pump is always ready without shutting down in a storm. The Two gentlemen that did the install were highly trained in installation of these units. they answered every question I could think of. I highly recommend anyone who want peace of mind to get one what an asset to add to our property. Thank you.

I have a 16 k generac generator that I bought in 2006. Never gave me any problems, except that the base it's all rusted. I'm going to give it to my nephew, so he could get a new base for it and install it at his house. I just bought a new one 18 k and I love it. Hopefully this one doesn't get rusty. Maybe I'm asking for too much because my 16 k it's almost 16 years old. But in general I'm very pleased with the performance. I do recommend Generac.

After installing we had an outage shortly after and was put to the test pretty quickly... While the outage was less than an hour it is very comforting to know that the generator can provide whole home power without compromise... I would recommend using a concrete slab reinforced with rebar over the composite base as the composite base will not be as sound for the generator...
