Since installing the generator it has come in handy a couple of times. Paired with the automatic transfer switch we are covered when the power goes out. I do wish that there was a little more customization available to the running parameters. It would be nice to be able to set the transfer switch to run for a minimum time on the generator, say 5 to 10 minutes, if power is lost. There have been several times that we lost power in high winds and/or severe thunder storm where the power went out, generator kicked on and transfer switch swapped over and within seconds to a minute the power was restored briefly (just long enough for transfer switch to swap back to utility) and then repeat… Having a minimum set run time could minimize the possibility of the multiple swap overs and damaging electronics.

As my wife and I age we have been doing what we can to make our home easier to live in as we get ready for retirement. Our county in Maine is experiencing some strong winds from an unusual direction for us and causing large area blackouts. We our one of a few with this type of generator on our and other than the internet being disrupted for a couple of we have no disruption in our daily routine. We are extremely satisfied with our our GENERAC 14KW GUARDIAN stand by generator. Living on Cape Cod where we are proned to Nor Easters, Blizzards and Hurricanes. It is a relief to know we will not have to worry about loss of electricity. Especially because my husband travels a lot, I now will not be dependent on others to start our portable GENERAC generator. I will now be donating our portable generator to Habitat for Humanity. Also a big shout out to Robies (Hyannis, Ma.) for their professionalism, promptness and expertise installing our generator. I will definitely recommend GENERAC to all.

Just got our standby generator installed. Was very pleased with the service and after the load testing my 22KW unit running my whole home. I have (2) AC Heat Pumps,Hot Tube and all electric appliances. Unit runs at 50% so we still have plenty of capacity. Will have to watch my neighbors to make sure they aren’t running cords over lol. Generac Guardian 22kw generator will provide power to the entire house in event of a power outage. Unit is well constructed and designed for long term use. Fueled by natural gas it does not requre external fuel storage tanks and does not require periodic fuel resupply and does not have contamination issures common to diesel supplies.

Got my whole-house Generac installed on a Wednesday; everyone I dealt with was MOST professional & knowledgeable. On the following Saturday we experienced a power outage due to windstorms. My Generac came on seconds after the power went out & ran flawlessly for 9 hours when power was restored!! One of the BEST purchases I’ve ever made; thank you for such a useful product!!

Exceeded my expectations, I had the transfer switch installed when the house was constructed so the install was quick and easy. Very professional. Have not had a power outage yet so i cant comment on the ability of the unit to power everything but when it was tested it came up and did what it supposed to do

Nice looking unit. Noisier than I though it would be. Install took longer than it should have due to installer showing up with out necessary parts on a Friday and then had to wait till the following Monday to finish. Once installed unit fired up promptly and the "simulated" power outage had the unit start and within a few seconds the house had power. Obviously won't know how well it really works until an actual emergency and hopefully it works as promised. Wi-Fi set up SUCKs big time. NONE of the provided booklets explain it properly. Finally found a manual on-line (by Generac) that explained it. Why wasn't this manual provided with the paperwork? Wi-Fi still doesn't work and I'm not entirely sure why? Weak signal probably. Unit also a USB capability to update firmware but again NO manual explaining how that might work.

We have installed this unit in anticipation of upcoming PG&E blackout in CA this summer. A recent email from PG&E confirmed their plans to shut power off to large areas for up to 5 days. We have a well and would be out of water in no time if not for this generator. We have not had to use it yet but the install is very clean and the unity connected to our wifi so I will be notified when it comes on.

The crew from our Dealer, Generator Works were easy to deal with and they coordinated effectively with the local utilities and natural gas supplier. The disconnects and service upgrades were conducted with minimal out of service time. The total time to install was under 6 hours including site prep and cleanup.
