Our Generac has been installed for roughly a week. We haven't currently had the need for it. But any day now. Living in rural Louisiana, I expect that day will come soon enough. Very sleek looking machine that fit perfectly alongside our central H&A units. I know the distributor. His service & explanation was perfect and insightful. If we have any issues, I fully expect him to address them. We are beyond pleased with this Generac 24KW

This product is everything you can hope for. It certainly takes a lot of your mine in case of a power outage especially during a storm/ hurricane. I don't have to worry about filling up gas cans, and preparing my portable generator anymore, along with running extension cords .

Installed just four days before Hurricane Irma impacted our area, our new Generac 22KW generator performed flawlessly, keeping us in touch (TV, internet), comfortable (heat), and well fed (stove, oven, refrigerators and freezers). No one wants to lose power, but when it happens it's so comforting to know the Genereac will support all our needs!

We just installed the unit. Test results were good, not able to give 5 stars yet as unit has not had a chance to perform. I’m confident that it will be fine. Was able to get good pricing from local retailer, with added rebate. Professional installation went well. Am very pleased thus far.

My wife and I had a Generac 22kw Guardian Series Backup generator installed when we built our home 5 years ago. We haven't really needed for any long period of time until Hurricane Matthew. We were without utility power for two days (very fortunate compared to many). Our Generac kept us fully powered and cool for the entire time!

Installation was excellent, operation so far has been spotty. In the snowstorm this week the unit failed to fire when the power went out and when later manually started went into safe mode tripping unit circuit breakers so no power went to our home. We had no power for 30 hours. The service tech is ordering parts so we will see how it goes. This was the third instance of failure to start, one in maintenance mode and one other in a power failure. I will update this review once we have operation consistency.

We have just had this unit installed. In our previous house, we lost power during the night for several hours in late Fall. As a result, one of our forced hot water heating circuits froze. Once we were able to get it thawed, water was running down the wall. In this new house, we have already lost power for a few hours, causing our sump in the basement to overflow. No more of that! We are retired and look forward to the peace of mind this Generac will provide.

The quality, features and appearance sold me on my Generac backup generator. Combine that with a 1st class installation from my electrical contractor, “SKA Electric” from Stoney Point, NY 10980, I’m extremely happy. SKA ‘s excellent installation and knowledge of the Generac Generator, with its excellent features and quality, is the combination I was looking for. I’m very happy to share this review.

I am the owner of a Guardian 14kw and have had it for just about 6 months. I also live on CapeCod where we have nor'easters and hurricanes. This generator has already been put to the test twice for 3 days at a time. This last storm which was a nor'easter and pretty substantial the generator conked out during the height of the storm. Fortunately, the electrician who installed it was able to come over and get it back up and running. The filter was frozen and was caked with ice and snow. Once it was dried out the unit was able to run again. So the moral of this note is that you should always have a second filter on hand, and I believe it should be included with the sale of the unit to all of the installers as this is a very common occurrence from what I am told.

We have our basement trenched, along with 3 sump pumps. The last time our power went out, our battery backup pump ran until the battery exhausted itself. When we got home, I opened the basement door to about 5 inches of water. I fired up our portable generator and plugged in. All pumped out after 25 minutes. Works fine...BUT YOU HAVE TO BE HOME to do this. I researched whole house generators and GENERAC was the best. I now have my own. No more flooded basement plus I don't have to worry about it anymore!! I should have put one in several years ago. I'm a believer!.
