Although I am waiting for the gas company to get the fuel lines ran, the installation came off without a hitch. Relaying on the Generac reputation, I am expecting it to run reliably for years to come. As an electrician that has installed several other brands, this was a easy installation. Crew showed up and went to work, one day was estimated and the job was done as promised. I just stayed out of the way and they went about the job as if it were changing a lightbulb. No delays, had all of the piping and electrical materials. Ran tests and explained how the machinery works. Answered all of our questions. Handed over the keys and manuals and we were quite satisfied. Job well done. Now I can laugh when thunderstorms hit.

Apparently my original review did not meet Generac's criteria, but it didn't say why. Maybe because it was not a good review. My 30 plus year old generator never failed me. My new Generac 10kw has failed me over ten times. Two oil pressure sensors later a new motor, it still fails to start often due to error code 1300, which is low oil pressure. DO NOT BUY A 10 KW GENERAc!!! With the new motor it has gone into EC 1300 about four or five times. I have thousands of dollars worth of meat. I am now requesting their more trustworthy unit, apparently the 20 KW never fails. The 10kw in 20 years one dealer oney sold one unit. I am getting a little run around, it has been over a week since the local dealer is responding, the company does not deal with individual customers I am told, the dealer has to take care of the problem. My request is charge me the extra difference for the 20 KW take this piece of crap back. I do not need a bigger unit, which is why I bought the 10kw. I only have a couple of lights, but more importantly my freezer and refer on it. The unit that was here for over 30 plus years, and I lived here for 11 years, NEVER had a problem NEVER!!!!. It was just getting old, tired and a little noisier then the new one. I wish I would have just put new rings in the old one, it never failed, not once. If Generac does not like my review because it does not meet their criteria, tell me what the problem is with my review. NOT A FIVE STAR????

Installed in one day, February 2009. Has been very reliable ever since. Programmed to "exercise" for 12 minutes every week and has done so. Maintenance is only oil & filter changes and spark plugs every two years. Have only had to replace the trickle charge module after 9 years of operation. Cost to purchase and install is worth the peace of mind it brings. This units powers approximately 80% of our whole home.

That's what you get with a Generac whole house backup generator. 22kw will power everything in the event of an outage, so I don't gave to worry that my family will be cold or hot, won't gave water or lights or a working alarm, or that my basement might flood. The price was very reasonable and the electrician recommended by Generac was very professional and did a very clean installation in short order. I couldn't be more pleased.

Bought the 22kw generator, and we feel so relieved when the power goes out, that our Generac will start, and transfer power over to the house within seconds. It powers the whole house with ease. The 3 ton central A.C., double wall mounted ovens, all 4 burners on our glass cooktop stove, and well pump. It's like we've never lost power! Also, when utility power comes back, it transfers power back with zero interruption! Love it! Thanks Generac!

I just had the unit installed so luckily haven't had to use it, but the installer, Switch, was a pleasure to work with. They showed me how easy it was to use (automatically sensing when it is needed to power on doesn't get any easier!), and I couldn't be happier. It's also only a little bit louder than the heat pump so that isn't an issue either. I now have peace of mind knowing that we have power and heat should we need it!

I have researched your product with known owners of several years and have found every on to be very satisfied with its performance. So when my neighbor had theirs in stalled On her referral I made arrangements to have one installed. I am confident it will serve me well.

Installed 22kw Generac 4 years ago. 1st two years no power outages, generator only ran in exercise mode. 3rd year numerous power outages, generator worked without a flaw. Powered entire house, neighbors stopped and looked at generator and the power it was generating. Two neighbors have since bought the same unit. Generac makes a good product that lives up to it advertisement.

Hopefully we won't need to use it :) The installation was professional and easy. The Generac looks very nice, no need to hide it behind a fence or landscaping. Gives us piece of mind and security knowing that in the worst of storms, our power will not go out. Good to support a locally made product!
