A whole house generator seemed like an extravagance - our power does not go out that much, but with a well pump providing water - who wants to go without for even a short time. I did my research and quickly realized the generator affords the security and comfort I want, it increases the value of the home and with it being installed, ready to work all the time it is certainly added security for the family if I am traveling. Next I researched brands - I quickly found out from speaking to friends with other brands, parts, service and availability are critical. Generac seems to be marketshare leader therefore has the most available parts and service. I also learned that the Generac models are more reliable than others, so that decision was made. Finally, I chose a really good installer. A family electrical contracting business that has been around for many years who now only does generators. After electric and plumbing was done I was very happy with the finished product. Its amazing - I am actually looking forward to the first time the power goes out so I can see it in action. Having a Home Generator, in case the electricity goes out, is new for me. I'm glad to have the security of knowing I can still get water, light and heat. Joe Z, Brian, Tim, and Steve did a great job installing the Generac, and then connecting it to the house electric panel. It is hard to review a product that was installed on April 4, 2023 and still not operational. There have been multiple delays (installation, correcting gas line, failing electrical inspection and a faulty part). In addition, they get in no hurry to address these problems with 2 to 3 weeks in between each issue. 2 1/2 months later we have what is essentially a very expensive lawn ornament. I am hoping that we might have a working generator by no later than fall at this rate. Very frustrated and completely unsatisfied with not only Generac themselves, but their approved installer as well

Installation crew did a commendable job. All participants showed concern for doing the job right. Unit has only been in place for eight weeks now. Have not had a power failure to evaluate its output, but unit has cycled every other week as programmed. Have not attempted to use Wi-Fi feature yet due to so many negative reviews on it. Plan to discuss with technician at six month maintenance.

We had Switch Electric, LLC perform the installation. They came highly recommended and I can see why. The installation went flawlessly, their explanation of the system was easy to understand and the product works incredibly well. We typically lose power here in our area at least three to four times per year and were tired of hooking up a manual generator to the house during those windy/rainy times. Thank goodness we now have the peace of mind that it will happen automatically.

Just had this generator installed about three weeks ago, after a four month wait from Generac. We lost power just last night due to heavy winds and downed power lines. As expected, this generator kicked right on and we never missed a beat. I can't say enough good about our installation company, "All Install" . They kept me informed throughout the entire wait time and as soon as the generator came in from Generac they put me on the schedule for install. The install team was very thorough and accommodating in helping choose the circuits that would run on this generator. A+++ for All Install

Had installed in April 2020. Nice space saver. The automatic power switch is really an item that you need. In ten seconds after the power went out the lights were back on. When the power was restored, the switch from generator to line was so quick there was not even a flicker. The is a green light on the side of the generator that lets you know that all is well and the generator is ready to serv. I have not reached a maintenance cycle yet but, the manual indicates that it is pretty easy to service. When the light go out for an extended period of time you wish you would have installed a Generac system.

I just had this model installed. Lohrum Electrical in Greensburg, IN had it up and running with the whole house transfer switch in about 4 or 5 hours. Much faster than I anticipated and with excellent quality workmanship. We have had several power outages in the past, some that lasted for several days, and have lost a lot of food in our freezers and refrigerator. We now have the peace of mind that that will never happen again.

The Generac was installed just yesterday and I was impressed by the 3-man team as they did a professional and quick installation. The unit looks great, is quiet enough to not intrude on neighbors or our household and initial tests indicate it will meed our total house needs. I'll review again in the event of a significant power outage which will give me a basis for comment on its performance.

Quality built product. The automatic start up and electrical switching is a smooth and painless process. Quiet operation. It performed perfectly in sub zero temps with the cold weather package. The green light is an easy check to verify that the unit is ready for operation. ..
