I bought this unit about a month ago, and so happy that I did. Within an hour of the install, we had an outage, and the generator kicked in within seconds. Being an elderly couple I wanted peace of mind that all systems, would function, appliances, well, heat and air everything is electric.

My power was going out on a monthly then turned into a weekly basis. I spent so much time on the phone with DTE to get daily or hourly credits for my service being down. This made life difficult with an infant and a sump pump. I invested in an 18KW whole home generator, this was the best home decision I have made. No more am I using the stove to heat in winter and window units plugged into a portable generator in the summer. With a sump pump you only have so much time to get the power to it before it fills and spills over into the basement. Oh and let me tell you, how difficult it is to set up a portable one when you have an infant that doesn't sit still. Generac, You are a life saver and I tell everyone!

A major storm knocked out our power for days, so I finally decided it was time to invest in a generator. Just having it sitting there gives me a sense of security—like no matter what the weather does, we won't be left in the dark again. We haven't needed to run it fully yet, but when the next storm rolls in, I'll feel a lot better knowing it's ready to go.

I purchased this unit in August of 2024 and to date, it has performed flawlessly. We've only had one brief outage but it ran then and runs every week for 10 minutes to exercise. The Mobile app gives me all the information I need at my fingertips and is easy to navigate, even for a 68 year old!

MY GENERATOR WAS INSTALLED ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND WITHIN 2 WEEKS, IT WAS FULLY TESTED. MY POWER WENT OUT at 7:00 a.m. it was promised to return at 12:30 which never happened. it finally came bacl on at 7:30 p.m. My generator was perfect and, it was so QUIET, no one even noticed it was on. I have had this unit over 6 years and it's performed well in all my power outages. I can't say anything my negative about the unit since I've had zero issues with it. I also have a 14kw unit in my 2nd home and it's the same way reliable backup power.

I purchased my generator 2 years ago & while it was a big investment, I very happy with it. Prior to the 2024 election, I kept hearing the grid is not stable & they kept cautioning about the threats to the grid by enemies of the State. I had been contemplating & researching “standby” generators for a few years. Most that you see advertised on line will not actually power your home. I researched the numerous whole house generators & Generac kept coming up with the best ratings. The next thing was to find a reputable local dealer; which is exactly why I chose Ryan Electric in Springfield IL. Be aware of the big box stores, as they may or may not be the ones that actually install & maintain your generator. I have heard from friends that the big box stores often hire contractors from out of “your” State.

Happy with everything, the Dealer, the product and the installation. However I feel like there could have been a better job restoring the landscape after digging a trench for the installation. They left it a muddy mess. Should have been packed down, raked, seeded with hay.

I bought the generator a few months ago and I have used it approximately three times due to power outage in my area, we recently relocated from the Chicago area to North Carolina and was surprised on how often power goes out either for an unknown reason or storms, the main reason was worried about power failure in the winter

Generac 22kw generator was installed on June 17. Our power went out July 3rd until July 5th, 40 hours. The Generac kicked in immediately and allowed us to keep lights and AC on and stove, water pump, water heater and more running the whole time, with 9 people and four dogs in the house.
